It's been a month since release, any of you wageslave anons still working your way through the game? Favorite crests and tools? What are your hopes for DLC?

>>1832816 >Hbomberguy somehow extrapolated this to mean shields bad and unintended game design How can you be so fucking dumb as to extrapolate a phrase containing the statement "Shields are nice" to mean "shields are bad actually"
>>1833798 >Well you see here's the absolutely incredible thing about it all, you see "nice" actually used to be an archaic word that meant "stupid," so you're actually stupid for using shields. Some people may disagree and say that I'm wrong, but actually they're wrong, and stupid. Ha!
>>1834222 Truely an arch pledditer.
The people that draw fanart are mostly posers who haven't finished act 2 so there is almost no good art of GMS even though she looks pretty good. (Pics are spoiled for story spoiler reasons, not nsfw) The entire background of Pharloom is based on her being a shitty mother and I don't like femdom but her design is still captivating.
>>1832806 >>1832816 Amusingly Miyazaki said the shield in Bloodborne is important on higher NG+ levels. It does give you like 50% physical block fyi. What will actually get you killed in Bloodborne is dodging. Bloodborne dodges have reduced invincibility frames and a lot of instability frames.
It's fascinating how every single part of this game is awesome except the metroidvania ones. Couldn't they've made this an action game?
>>1836119 >It's fascinating how every single part of this game is awesome except the metroidvania ones. That's...the whole game.
>Beast crest, flea juice, silkspeed boots, scuttlebrace It's so much fucking fun bobbing and weaving everywhere at high speed like a madman
>>1829847 >>1831386 >>1832018 >>1832153 >>1832159 I'd like to have more about this discussion but I don't want to derail the Bug Game thread. Let's move it over to the Souls thread since it needs some life anyway >>1423012
>>1835728 I like her theme song a lot, personally. >>1836324 I haven't tried the methhead build yet. Is it really that fun? Since when have we not been able to post mp3s? Is there some site meta behind that that I missed?
OK, I'm at the FINAL final boss but I'm gonna stop playing for today because it's triggering me super hard. Not because it's hard, but because I have to watch a 20 fucking seconds unskippable cutscene every time I fight it. Funnily enough, I had the same complaint with another boss (Tormented Trobbio) but I killed him in my third try so I didn't have time to get angry. Apparently, GMS also has a long unskippable cutscene, but I got her on my first try so I didn't even realize. Metroid Dread made really happy when it dropped me right next to the boss door every time I died and let me retry basically instantly.
>>1836609 The intro for TROBBIO 2 is also innately less annoying because it's TROBBIO and you knew that he'd be doing it when you picked up the wish from the board.
>>1836609 >GMS also has a long unskippable cutscene, but I got her on my first try so I didn't even realize. I like her "cutscene" and theme song so it was more encouragement than discouragement for me, personally. I really hope there's a Godhome DLC so I can fight Radiant GMS.
Is silksong the Darksouls of meteoidvanias? Do people still call things “the dark souls of”?
>>1845199 >spoiler I call Zelda 2 the Dark Souls of Zelda, but only in my head.

Got my 100% recently, and have lost a half dozen steel soul runs. Probably could do better if I wasn't doing it idly while listening to stuff.
By the way does anyone knows where to find any sexy mods for siksong?
>>1847241 Probably in the same places you'd find other such mods for other games.
>>1847255 the problem is that i bearly use mods so i dont know where to find it.
>>1853406 I just beat that boss yesterday, poison cogflies were indeed very helpful.
Beat the game yesterday, completely blind on a 1.0 (unpatched) GOG file. I say "beat" but only got Act 2 ending. I scoured as much as possible finding secret areas or interactions but the game doesn't tell or hint me anything beyond the main objective. I still feel I missed a ton of content, thorough as I was. What should I do now? I even without reading I know there has to be more, this is a Hollow Knight game, the final boss is never the final boss. How can I get the game to hint me what am I supposed to do for the other endings?
>>1877083 >How can I get the game to hint me what am I supposed to do for the other endings? Just pay attention. I'm being serious. Literally pay attention.
>>1877098 okay I went and beat the "final" boss again, no difference. Can you be more blatant, please?
>>1877235 It's a little annoying. The last place you'd expect to find something hidden is in plain sight. How frustrating would it be to leave your home and scour the world, only to find that what you were looking for was posted right outside your front door. That's the only way to find the path to the true end though, so I recommend you try not to worry about it. Play the game as if you are trying to get 100%, and you'll stumble into it eventually. Unless you don't have a front door, then you probably should speak to Pavo to see if he has a key for you. There's also a flea in the putrefied ducts that will help you if you're struggling to find enough of the other lost fleas.
>>1877244 I got the Bellhome in Bellhart. Do you mean to say there's a flea locating NPC in Putrid Ducts?
>>1877258 Yup. They're one of the harder to find NPCs, which seems a bit self defeating. I'm trying to share as little as possible while still making it easy to progress, but if you want the more direct version without opening the wiki and seeing something you don't want to, pic related is the relevant excerpt.
I completed all available Board quests, unless more haven't shown because of missing requirements. Guess I'm missing a bunch of fleas and the flea finding npc. It is egregious how many random ass hidden breakable walls lead to critical areas and secrets in this fucking game... I know it's 2025 and it's assumed everyone looks things up but still, it shouldn't be this crippling to play a game blind. I tried combing every area and even went back to several early zones multiple times with new traversal abilities and still missed a ton of stuff it seems...
>>1877324 I played the first one, so I knew going in that you need to hit every single flat wall, and even I missed a lot. It's really ridiculous.
I managed to trigger what's beyond Act 2 without looking things up. I don't think this specific instance is due to bad design. It should be celebrated that a game doesn't hold your hand and instead rewards exploration.
>>1877324 >it's toooooo haaaaaarrrrrrrdd gb2reddit, if exploring is a chore to you then don't force yourself to do it and then conclude the game is bad, god forbid enough of you people bitch online until their 3rd game walks you through everything like a toddler
>>1877324 >it shouldn't be this crippling to play a game blind It isn't. Games rewarding players for thorough exploration is good design, not bad design. You can get the normal ending with little exploration and the true ending requires more effort. This is completely normal and the fact you think it isn't means that you're part of the reason devs cater to shitters these days.
