Who will overtake Xbox; Valve, Sega? Apparently it's little known kids console Nex Playground. Anonymous Id: 5ae528 No. 2077131
This Holiday season Xbox was outsold internationally by little-known console Nex Playground, a indie console designed primarily for kids. Selling over 300,000 units in just twelve days, beating out the Xbox Series' estimated <250k. https://archive.ph/ezZ1w Imagine the Kinect or EyeToy, that's what this thing is. Reported it works much better than those did owing to the massive improvements in body tracking tech. It sold over 600,000, units most of that being in 2025. The success has surprised even the company's founders, and it looks like it will remain strong going forward into this year.
>>2078134 Theres been multiple
>>2078158 So it begins.
>>2077131 >Who will overtake Xbox
>>2077771 I need a joystick for this though!
>>2077771 Eye is too small, otherwise NICE

>>2077546 Their fucking audience was mostly casual jewishs to young adults who just wanted to play COD. And it wasn't just the spyware, most fags didn't care about that, even the fucking always online requirement. It was the fact that they used Kinect to fucking justify it being 100 dollars more expensive than the PS4. The rest is history.
>>2078244 That and the Nex Playground is also 200 dollars, making it much less expensive than the competition.
>>2078263 Again, it's all the price The only reason the Wii and the 360 were as popular as they were, was the pricepoint.
>>2077131 My memory may be a little foggy, but isn't this a Chinese console... the same country which ported Mario kart to a TV due to shit consumer taste and import restriction. Also >>2077323 has it right, this thing already had a console-tan design shilled shipped last year, either in the GG, meta or lounge thread I think. I'm pretty sure it was better than this one.
>>2078880 Viola, >>>/v/res/2031141 >>>/v/2031141 I'm done bumping the shill thread now.
>>2077546 MS was quite open how Xbone literally would not run if Kinect wasn't plugged in and initially required it be always online, then eventually proved both were a totally arbitrary by separately patching them out. This claims to work offline (though it needs an initial connection), and has a physical camera block.
>The camera on Playground makes it possible to play using only your body. That’s its only job. No video is saved or stored. So, you can be sure your best moves won’t ever leave your living room. And when playtime is over, the camera cover gives you added peace of mind. >While you’re high-kicking your way to victory, Playground uses AI motion tracking to make your movements feel like magic. And all that magic happens right on your device, never “in the cloud.” The only time you even need to be connected to WiFi is to download games and updates. Otherwise, you can play totally offline. That sounds a lot better than anything Micro$hit ever said about their products.
MS would be like: Do not put anything on the lense, you could damage it! Please verify with your face!
>>2082504 huh, a monocle-style eye patch is certainly a curious console-tan design feature
>>2077771 Source?
>>2082838 Very nice. But what if she was pregnant?
>>2082847 Who would the father be, Kinect?
>>2082904 Probably, knowing him though he'd be a deadbeat dad and fuck off to china or something so she'd need to find a new husband (anon)
>>2082916 I was thinking more of very rich, fat bastard(Kinect) doing a sex tour in China, and impregnating a local console(Nex).
>>2082919 He definitely wouldn't stick around either way considering how scummy microsoft (his dad) is

Xbox has been dead for years so anything taking over Xbox is "easy". Xbox wasn't that big in my country but game stores years ago used to have a dedicated shelf for Xbox games and consoles. Game stores here not are not even selling the Series X/S anymore only the controllers since it works on PC due to Xinput. Picrel are the only Xbox games a game store I know that they are selling.
