what rhythm games have you been playing recently? i've been trying to get into BMS but learning 7 key is hard.

>>1187196 >7key https://youtu.be/EwyGBh4EhbU?list=PLkQiH_CIotuCsbZe5Kg96ig3TG2HmBXkM&t=10 i've just been getting into 7 key as well. i've honestly been surprised by how intuitive iidx charting feels even compared to like, djmax. >playan i played a fuckload of pop'n and drummania & ongeki in japan. there's no pop'n where i live so now i'm trying to learn iidx and taiko. tbh taiko is giving me a harder time than 7 key.
>>1187934 damn drummania? isn't that the one with a literal drumkit for the input scheme? >surprised by how intuitive iidx charting feels thats good, im learning 7key with the goal of being able to play some of the classic bms/iidx stuff. kinda stuck to stuff like etterna and sdvx for now (although i'm not great at either, hitting my head against the 16 wall)
>>1187196 lately i've been draining my wallet on ez2on...
>>1188024 >a literal drumkit for the input scheme? yeah its really fun. the downside is that a lot of those kits have been completely beaten to shit. even japan it was like 50/50 odds whether they'd even be playable. they did just update to the new version which has its own problems so things are probably better now. >sdvx idk why but sound voltex wears out my hands way faster than any other rhythm game i've played. the charts are pretty different from iidx though, it feels more like djmax imo >>1189399 ez20n looks really cool, are they still updating it?
>>1189399 even though i waste so much money at arcades on stuff like maimai, the absolute ridiculous amount of money you need to pay to unlock all the songs in those games just completely turned me away from them. especially given that they're on pc

I figure this is the right thread for such inquiries. I'm retarded when it comes to doing research, hopefully I can trust the rhythm chads on fullchan. I want a good dancepad to play games like stepmania or other compatible stuff on my computer or consoles. I have no idea how costly they are or what could be considered a good deal, pitfalls to avoid, etc. I've seen online that a good one can cost up to $5000 if not more.
>>1189601 >are they still updating it? They add songs fairly regularly, and supposedly there's a menu UI overhaul coming soon which is cool >>1190739 well money is the root of all evil, so burning it is the moral choice : )
>>1190981 i'm no expert but i know a few people who i think would qualify, what's your budget?
>>1191503 I can spend up to $2000. But honestly I don't think I'll shell out this much for a dancepad. ... right?
>>1191590 I'm no pro but just doing a quick google search for metal Pump it up dancepads is like $500 max for a single. Where are you seeing 5k?
>>1191590 https://www.iamats.com/shop/ he recommended this company's pads. apparently easy to mod. just keep in mind that with all of these bulky cons shipping is gonna be a fuck ton
All rhythm games are either Guitar Hero or Rhythm Heaven. Convince me otherwise.
>>1191719 which one does osu standard count as
>>1191758 More Guitar Hero than Rhythm Heaven.
>>1191843 what about geometry dash
>>1192110 neither, because it's not a rhythm game
>>1192110 Geometry dash is that third category of rhythm games that aren't actually rhythm games
>>1192132 >>1192245 yeah i was just trying to start shit by mentioning it lol, but nobody defended it
which category is doing your mom? I'd say rhythm heaven but I have 2 dicks and 10 fingers so the end result is closer to guitar hero with lefty flip
>know absolutely nothing bout the game >try it >its kino
djmax and sixtar gate
>>1191590 if you you're looking for quality arcade-level dance pads made of metal, then B2L pads would be my recommendation for that kind of budget. A significant amount of DDR and pump it Up players have bought from them and have only improved with feedback. although I dunno if you even feeling buying from people who are based in China for the manufacturing.

Hopefully this time they won't repeat the travesty that was the CHUNITHM collab and get some actually good material like keysounds and new artwork ONGEKI has great girls + outfits and if they don't get the Els to cosplay them they'll be fucking up terribly

>>1216529 How come everyone wants Fail as a wife and completely ignores Clear Is it the boobs
>>1190981 Get an LTEK if you want the best value for money. I own one myself.
>>1191590 If you can spend up to $2000 you can probably find arcade pads for that price.

>>1187196 Started playing Sound Voltex a few days ago. This shit is addictive. I also play DJMAX and Platina Lab.
