The Borderlands franchise is literally built on the foundation of stolen money that should have been used to make Aliens Colonial Marines. Every time you play a Gearbox game, you are playing something that put money into the pocket of this man. That is something you SHOULD feel bad about that.

>>1276732 Not really, the shooting is pretty variable due to the randomly assembled guns but typically sub-par since the really fun pieces don't come up a lot. Character building is also pretty lacking since they don't have strong "class" theming which means they're all kind of hodgepodge. I'd recommend playing Shadow Warrior 2 instead if you're looking for a looter shooter.

There are entire dialog chains in the files that are unused related to those. Those are supposed to be quests. Helena Pierce, Dr Zed, Marcus, Scooter, even Crazy Earl and what's his nam,e the guy with the goggles and missing leg, had multiple fully voiced quests that aren't in the final game, and the player had multiple vocal responses that could be given, mostly for accepting or declining a mission much like Dead Island had. There are also traces of places like New Haven being an actual high tech outpost instead of literal mountains of garbage. There's a lot in the released games files if you have the right tools to crack them open. I'm lacking the ones for getting the bink videos out of there, but there are even files from the old e3 demo and the unreleased greenfields trailer hanging around. I'm a fag sure, but I tuned into a lot of the previews they've been having for Borderlands 4. The weapon system sounds like the fun sort of fucked now that other manufacture quirks can appear on any weapon via "licensed parts" If you have a Jakobs rifle with a Vladof grenade underbarrel, it'll appear as a launchable knife. If you also get a Tediore part on that Jakobs, you'll throw the gun to reload and it'll explode into knives like a old timey MERV. Atlas, Hyperion, and COV have been consolidated into just licensed part manufactures, so tracking shots, ADS shields, and overheating guns can appear on any of the remaining gun manufactures, plus the three new manufactures, Order, Ripper, and Daedalus.

>>1286573 Having played through 2 only, I am a fan of the direction they went with the artstyle being all cartoony and shit, but given what you posted the artstyle decision and the environments not being washed out dreadful brown (unless the intention is to present a post-apocalyptic world like Mad Max or Fallout) are the only good things- they literally could've kept everything else as is and translated it into a more cartoony artstyle as opposed to the realism that's already common in video games even back then.
