Games smaller than 1 GB Anonymous 04/28/2025 (Mon) 16:25:26 Id: c63aa9 No. 1280266
What are some good games with total file size not bigger than 1 GB ? Small ram usage is also preferred, less than 2 GB of ram should be reasonable to ask, but it's not strictly requested Discuss and suggest them here Quality over quantity Emulated games is cheating, only small non-emulated PC games here, for the emulated games go in: >Emulation Megathread >>1028520
>>1280266 Romancing Saga 2. Some RTS. Most of RPGM eroges.
Cataclysm dark days ahead is a great small game Elona is an other good one Both are rpg single character games, cataclysm is survival with zombies and lots of crafting and engineering, elona is fantasy open world roguelike with a function to catch or hire other monsters and npc as party members. Both are pretty well known, this is just an example of the games fit for this thread.

>>1280311 >DRAINUS Looks interesting, love it when a game lets you create your own skills/attacks by combining components
>>1280341 Yes, that's the game.
>>1280266 I wont include emulation because everything from like PSX backwards is less than 1gig: >Disillusion Kinda like an LSD Dream Emulator RPG maker game >Dragon Cliff Auto-battle cookie clicker shit, but one of the better ones >Final Fantasy IV 3D Remake Very charming remake of one of the best FF games. I said no emulation, but it's on Steam >Buriedbornes 2 f2p mobile game (also available on Steam), not a gacha, actually good, it's like a dungeon crawling character builder thing, highly recommend as a non-gacha phone game >Braid Puzzle platformer using a rewind mechanic and stage gimmicks, recommend if you somehow haven't played it >Doki Doki Literature Club Just Monika >Hylics Very surreal RPG maker game, listed as a "recreational program with light JRPG elements." It's way better than Hylics 2 >Hyper Light Drifter I actually backed this kickstarter back in the day, this is the game that began the retro pixel art indie game thing, it's basically like a modern 2D top-down Zelda game, play it if you haven't >Siralim Ultimate Peak autism simulator, it's like Pokemon Persona type stuff but way more autistic and with infinitely more "builds" to play with >NO-SKIN Very weird "horror" roguelite RPG where you have to play multiple times to get the story >Path of Achra Another character "build" game, basically an auto battler but you don't actually need to play it that way, there are tons of build combinations here. Gameplay essentially devolves to holding down either [TAB], [SPACE], or clicking around to move, but it feels much more involved than that >Pseudoregalia Super Mario 64 metroidvania but furry >Time Break Chronicles Basically an homage to SNES RPGs. It's a roguelite type deal with like 100 different characters that all have their own unique kits and relics, each character can equip 4 relics total, and completing "character missions" unlocks their personal relics for use with other characters >Gran Ende II H-game, RPG maker, you groom your brown elf dautherwife into the perfect slut while saving the world from evil >Black Souls I Black Souls II is better but is more than 1 gig, but you should play Black Souls I first. H-game, RPG maker, you've at least heard of it if you haven't also played it >Chrono Trigger I said no emulation, but this is the Steam version, and you absolutely need to play this game if you haven't >Soul Reaver Again, I said no emulation but it's on Steam. The voice acting and story telling in this game is iconic
IdleOn, basically an "online" game similar to MapleStory but it has an idle system attached to it. It's pretty decent but be wary of the P2W aspects. The hardcore brown nosers will deny the P2W elements due to no competitive nature to the gameplay, but it definitely exists. Luckily Gems can be gathered without paying, but it is definitely a grind compared to just paying for them. Autoloot is a must and it costs $5. Gems can't activate autoloot.

>>1280266 Gonna be rather hard ince the thread is already stacked with great stuff but here goes >Weapon of Choice DX Weird kind of janky 2D run'n'gun made by one of the guy that designed Ratchet & Clank weapons during the PS2 era, most of his games share the same vibe but I find this specific one to be the best. >BLADECHIMMERA Since other games by the same devs (team Ladybug) have been mentioned I figure this one is worth mention as well, same shtick as well metroidvania with a gimmick or two >Pharaoh Rebirht+ Same as above mostly except it's more of a mix between MMX and metroidvania, still think it's their best game by quite a bit >Metal Thunder I'm cheating since it's unfinished and already threading near the 1GB limit Basically AC-130 the game >Rocketron ASTRO PORT doing a metroidvania for a change instead of clones of 4th gen mech games, still very much in the same vein but with the full exploration stuff. >NeverAwake cutting it close on that one Multiscrolling shooter with free aim, fairly cool aesthetic, decent amount of content not brutally punishing. >Marfusha: Sentinel Girls TD / shooter hybrid with a neat story and roguelite elements, has a sequel that's more of the same but refined >PsiloSybil What if Crash Bandicoot but mushrooms and a difficulty level that would make you think Crash 3 devtimes were easy, just for the "main" part of the game, now the 100% completion is a hell beyond anything you've ever thought possible >Zortch Classic 3D shooter that I find to be mostly Turok inspired personally (loads of platforming), a bit hard but very good by modern classic shooter standards. >SYNTHETIK Isometric roguelite tactical shooter, made of pure pain but worth sinking a few dozen hours into. >Blossom Tales 1&2 Very okayish Zelda Alttp clones >Mirage feathers What if Afterburner but lolis and way more shit coming at you >Splatter: Zombiecalypse Now Crimsonland meets discount Max Payne >Rosenkreuzstilette & sequel MegaMan but lolis and way harder >Rush Rally 3 A surprisingly decent CMR type game
[Expand Post] >YuuYuu Jiteki no Yukarin 2hu fangame featuring Yuuka as a playable character, regular old platforming that's nice and simple with no real direct comparison cut with a few gimmick stages to farm lives, a bit hard but not particularly unfair until you get to the EX stage >Lovely Planet A very cute game that will break you, the twitchiest shooter I've ever played >G WARRIOR I can't believe it's not contra, featuring a female protag with massive tits, (or you can be a fag and play as the guy). >Time Recoil Top down shooter from the crimsonland guys, kinda puzzlish and twitchy at the same time sort of like Hotline Miami with superpower >Speebot Support your local /agdg/ frens, the game is really good as well for a casualsih isometric precision platformer >Powerslave Exhumed The forgotten oldschool shooter, every bit as good ass the best of them >Corn Kidz 64 It's basically an N64 game but on PC, a bit short for a collectathon but will still hold you up for a while >Wings of Vi Baby's first rage platformer, besides the music it's actually pretty decent so long as you play on easy or normal (which really means hard and very hard) >Tempest 4000 Good old tempest, still as ballbreaking as ever >Hakoniwa Explorer Plus Isometric zelda-like with a lot more emphasis on the RPG elements which is pretty good and filled with gigantic jiggly tits but you might not like some of the authors barely disguised fetishes >EX-Zodiac I can't believe it's not Starfox >Touhou Shoujo: Tale of Beautiful Memories Super Mario RPG, but it's 2hu >Nex Machina Pretty close to being the apex of the top down shooter genre, only issue I have with it is no real mouse controls >Rym 9000 There's not enough epilepsy warning on this earth to warn you about what this game is gonna throw at you, but it's solid and the music is great, the visuals are interesting but a bit "extreme"
The Citadel (785.71 MB)
>>1280266 >Stardew Valley Western Harvest Moon-like, relaxing and fun Should be around 500MB, mods for it are often small >FIGHT KNIGHT First person beat em up, VERY fun, music is good, hype inducing, hard Around 500MB >Hacknet Hacking game played mostly through a terminal, pretty "kino" (as the youths of today say it) at times Around 400MB even with the DLC
>>1280266 >Epic Battle Fantasy 3-5 5 is best, but 3 is free and a good way to check if you'll enjoy them. They're JRPG-parody flash games from Newgrounds/Armorgames/Kongregate, adapted to be played on Steam. The (classic) Collection contains several miscellaneous games, from 1 & 2 basically being battle waves instead of a full rpg, to a lot of others like Brawl Royale, which you have to hit the spacebar before your opponent (NPC) can kill you. Not sure of the install size because I don't have it yet, but I played all the games on it back in the 2000s and 2010s. >Rimworld You will probably have 20+ GB of mods after a few years of playtime, but the game is surprisingly tiny even with all DLC (735MB) Rimworld is a colony sim, but most people mod it to play it as a life sim, specifically The Sims but with war crimes. >Fallout 1 & 2 Unlike later titles, these ones are about 500mb each, and both are very difficult. Whereas you can easily cheese Fallout 3 and beyond, 1 and 2 are more difficult for new players to figure out and for a lot of it you learn by doing. It's got turn-based rather than action-based combat, and the dialog is full of things you'd never see today, like getting called a faggot by NPCs. I thought Morrowind was under 1gb, but my install says 1.06, probably from having a handful of mods but I don't know.
>>1281569 I also forgot to mention that the dev has no DRM on the paid steam versions (That I know of), so thanks for posting that.
Taking notes on this Potato-core games thread.

How many of the mentioned games ITT are in 3D? And throw me some +1 GB too, please.
>>1280266 Cave Story is less than 10MB. It runs on everything. It is one of my favorite games of all time
Does emulation refer specifically to consoles, or is DOSBox fine? Either way, Notrium is really good for 14MB. The original version anyway, I don't know how big the newer Steam version.
>>1281602 A few >>1280314 2 games >>1280939 28 games >>1281249 20 games
>>1281653 >Does emulation refer specifically to consoles Emulation is usually a simulation of a system which is no longer available, often an hardware, like with consoles and handhelds, but it applies also to softwares like emulating operative systems, like wine on linux should count as an emulation of windows. Isn't DOSBox based on a virtual machine of DOS? It's hard to say if that's closer to an emulation than not, it's close to the middle line. It depends if the software in use is the same as the original or not, if it's not the same but an imitation then it's emulation. Flash games are an other odd case, it would be natural to call those emulated games too, but there is no hardware getting simulated, and the software compiling the .swf is the same as it was back to the times when flasg games were in use, so there is neither a simulated software. So flash games should not count as emulated, but often they are.
>>1282402 >Isn't DOSBox based on a virtual machine of DOS? It's hard to say if that's closer to an emulation than not, it's close to the middle line DosBox is an emulator, it emulates a PC from scratch. This is not what most people think of when they say "virtual machine," but it's not like virtual machines are not emulators. The line between these is blurry. In practice, for the purpose of gaming, they're all just different runtimes at the end of the day.

Here are the games that fit the criterion from my recently played: >Void Stranger >Balatro >Rusted Moss >Fight Knight >Awaria Note: I had to scroll down to february
Just gonna drop every great game I have on Steam that qualifies and hasn't been mentioned in this thread/isn't obvious. Games I put pictures of are among my highest recommendations: Platformers >Kero Blaster Pixel's best game in my eyes, and one of if not the best in its genre (which is saying a lot). Genuinely insane that it's not even 5MB. >Gravity Circuit Indie GOTY 2023, think Mega Man X/Zero with more melee combat. Striking artstyle and fantastic music, plus a really great boss lineup. >Decline's Drops Hand-drawn game that controls similarly to Smash but has level design closer to DKC & mainline Kirby. Extremely charming with a distinct style despite having such clear inspiration. >Pangolin Cassowary 3D platformer where one character kicks another like a ball in order to get them to different places. Kind of reminds me of Kirby's Dream Course. >Bat Boy The only platformer I've seen that I'd say was primarily inspired by Shovel Knight, though it's a much faster-paced game than Shovel Of Hope with a lot of abilities designed for speedrunning levels rather than being necessary for progression. >Bionic Commando ReArmed One of the great but sometimes forgotten remakes before remakes were oversaturated. Kind of shocked how small this one is actually, not even 400MB. >Spark The Electric Jester A game that is equal parts Classic Sonic, GBA Sonic, Kirby, and Mega Man Zero. Really fast Sonic-style platforming with some solid combat mechanics and copy abilities you can swap between two of. Has two 3D sequels that are more Sonic Adventure-esque but minimize the copy abilities over time (and are well over 1GB). >Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 1&2 Classicvania games Inti Creates put together to promote Bloodstained Ritual of the Night. They're kind of like Castlevania III but with instant character swapping instead of slow menu swapping. >Mechstermination Force Contra + Shadow of the Colossus with a sense of humor. Some really fun concepts for bosses. Same dev who made the Gunman Clive duology (also very small action platformers that are good fun) and was actually on the BC ReArmed dev team before going indie. >The Fancy Pants Adventures Technically Early Access, this is the original Fancy Pants creator bringing the original games to a modern standard and adding a bunch of bonus features, updating it as he goes instead of waiting until the whole package is complete. Action/Beat-Em-Up >Final Vendetta Very classic beat-em-up in that Final Fight/Streets of Rage style that has no Continues at all but is well-designed enough to be doable anyway. Outside of sprites that look a bit Neo Geo-esque this could've passed for a very late SNES game in terms of its presentation and design. >Aztez 2D Action game where you play a simplified 4X campaign on a map trying to strengthen and unite the Aztecs, doing combat to ensure your actions play out, ultimately trying to fight off the Spanish. Really fast combat where you beat all the blood out of enemies so you can sacrifice it to gods to do supers. >Aces Wild: Manic Brawling Action A stage-based 2D Action game with really intentionally floaty and fluid movement and attacks that also let you bounce enemies around the stage. >Way of the Passive Fist Seems like a beat-em-up but you need to dodge/parry enemies to tire them out before doing single powerful strikes. Really more of a rhythm/reaction test framed like a beat-em-up but positioning does matter at times so you still need to be on your toes. >Fairy Bloom Freesia Simple arena-based 2D action with a cute fairy. Same dev team as Sakuna Of Rice & Ruin. >Super Crush KO Very pastel "cutesy-targeted-at-adults" style, but it's actually got a really good fluid action game under the hood with pretty demanding S+ Ranks even if just beating the game is really easy. Arcade >GIGANTIC ARMY A slower-paced run & gun where you're a mech walker with 360-degree control over your weapon's aim. >Metal Slug XX Something of a forgotten entry in the series, but a pretty solid one. It takes place across a single day on one island instead of being a globetrotting adventure which makes it stand out a bit more, plus there's 7 playable characters. >HAYAI Single-screen score-chaser where you just move your character around dodging enemies & projectiles, then drag your mouse across the screen to attack. There's just enough variety across the five characters and style in the handful of assets to keep it interesting. >Devil Blade Reboot A remake of a pretty obscure PS1 shmup from a one-man dev who actually works at Vanillaware and made this on the side. The perfect gateway game for people getting into the genre, based on my own experience, because it's gorgeous and has a very attainable skill floor to do well. >ZeroRanger Pretty well-known but it's a really excellent and mostly original shmup that actually does some interesting things with its story in terms of how it tells it with the gameplay and mechanics. Incredible OST too. >Lilac 0 Very recent release, very ZeroRanger-esque game with a big difference being the dash attack you can do with your sword.
[Expand Post]>One Finger Death Punch 1&2 Enemies come at you from either the left or right and you press a button to attack or counter them. Surprisingly these games get a fuckton of mileage out of that. Kind of looks like old XiaoXiao animations when you're playing later levels well. >Angel at Dusk Another shmup but one with genuinely insane visuals and intentional sensory overload at times. Lots of flesh and bones from the ships to the backgrounds to the UI. >Shatter Probably the best brick-breaker ever made with a killer OST. Make sure you get the original and not the remaster, the latter was made for mobile and then ported to PC. >Sayonara Wild Hearts What I can only describe as Pepsiman-like gameplay set to an album's worth of synthy pop music. Barely over an hour long before replays/rank chasing, but definitely look for a deal despite the quality since the base price is a little too high IMO. >REDLINE CROOKS Top-down driving shooter roguelite thing, nothing quite like it gameplay-wise with how frantic it gets. Simple charming art too. >Toxic Tomb Not on Steam but it is freeware. Master System-styled single-screen action platformer-style game that's just super well-designed. Made by the guy who did Maldita Castilla and a bunch of other great retro-style games (which are mostly freeware). Link: https://locomalito.com/games/toxic-tomb >Candy Rangers This one technically isn't out yet but I just adored the demo and the Steam page says it'll come in right at about 1GB. An on-rails shooter where you control four marching magical girls who need to shoot down various enemies at the right time with the right color; it does a lot with the premise just in the demo and it's overflowing with charm. Puzzle >Tetrachroma Tetris, but you need a line to match colors for it to clear and blocks change the color of everything they touch in a straight line to match themselves when placed. Drastically changes how you build yourself up while playing and has a TON of modes, features, and unlockable cosmetic options. Also "Monochrome" mode is just regular Tetris and it's a good version. >Save Room RE4 Attache Case as a puzzler; fit all the items in the case, even if it means you need to combine things or put ammo in guns first. Really satisfying even removed from the blatant Resident Evil references. >KNIGHTS Super minimalistic game where you just have to move Knight pieces from chess into specific spaces on grids of varying size. If that sounds appealing there's a sizable number of levels that get pretty complex as they go. >Lumines Remastered It's a Mizuguchi game, so it's got great music and gameplay synced to it. It's not as good as Tetris Effect but it's different enough to be appreciated in its own way. Fighting/Competitive >Your Only Move Is HUSTLE Turn-based Fighting game that can be used as either a super in-depth game of reading your opponent's options multiple steps in advance or a sick fight scene choreography machine. There's a ton of character mods too. >Inversus Deluxe Really smart concept in which you fire bullets to change the color of squares in a grid to increase the area you can move and block off your opponent so you can actually hit them with a bullet to take a point. >Dead Man's Hand Russian Roulette with cards where you play as old west robots. >Dojo Masters A simplified fighting game with simple graphics but a good amount of depth; every character represents a fighting style and you usually win by getting points for downing the opponent rather than just depleting their life. Very neutral-heavy and fast-paced. >ROBO OH A fighting game built around the NES/Famicom in aesthetics and controls with a roster of only mechs. Other/VN >Merchant of the Six Kingdoms Haggling Simulator where you're a traveling salesman who has to bargain with everybody you meet to get the best deals on everything so you can make a profit. Also has a collectible card game you can play with some NPCs. >Dead Horizon Freeware game you can beat in 10 minutes that combines a Point & Click with a Shooting Gallery to tell a short story. Pretty much nails what it's going for. The guy who made it is working on a much larger-scale version of the same concept with the same name. >Endless Monday: Dreams & Deadlines Cute VN about overworked office ladies and chronic procrastination. Not usually my kind of game but the art and premise are right up my alley; I admit I gave it a look because the guy who made Helltaker drew fanart of it. >The Murder of Sonic The Hedgehog For a quick little joke VN made by Sega of America employees on the side it's really charming. Baby's First Ace Attorney with Sonic characters and a genuinely fun little isometric platformer you play levels of intermittently. >Nina Aquila: Legal Eagle, Season 1 RPGMaker Ace Attorney-like. Very budget but with some charm and some decent ideas, as well as some minigames related to the cases like a card game. Also Nina's design makes my pp hard. Honorable Mentions (aka just over 1GB) >Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga Indie GOTY 2022. Think Ogre Battle/Unicorn Overlord squad system attached to 00s-era Fire Emblem level design. Gorgeous in-combat sprites, though the rest of the assets look more stock/standard. >Streets of Fury EX Really goofy combo-heavy beat-em-up that uses digitized photos for characters and backgrounds. Same studio was half of the team behind Streets of Rage 4 and the upcoming Absolum. This is that game where you can play as Nostalgia Critic and juggle people with his gun.
>>1282402 I don't see how flash has to be emulated. The standalone players are still out there. Also I don't know much about the nuts and bolts of Wine, but the devs are pretty explicit that Wine Is Not an Emulator. I get the impression it's more like a wrapper that calls the relevant Windows system code when needed. I used something similar that let me run WinXP programs in Win2k.
Ashes 2063/Afterglow/Hard Reset. Yes, I know they're mods, but they're Total Conversions, have their own standalone launchers and put every other so-called "boomer shooter" man I hate that fucking term to shame. And it's free.
I suppose most of mine were mentioned one way or another. I'll add that roguelikes in general tend to be small. I mean real roguelikes, not the modern bullshit that isn't even turn-based. >Dominions (all) All below 800 MB. Can be somewhat of a RAM hog, but at least not on the DF level. Also, not sure if that kind of game should be called "good". If a good game is like a civil well-behaved person, these are more like autistic geniuses. >Crystal Project Did a rough check since I do not keep games actually installed most of the time, seems on the level of 600 MB. Mentioned it before on this board, will do so again. RPG combat part is borderline FF (mostly V) cleaned up and with serial numbers filed off, platformer world travel, various other things (like obligatory permadeath mode).
>>1284240 >>Crystal Project Looks like final fantasy in minecraft
>>1280433 >this is the game that began the retro pixel art indie game thing lmao no
>>1285351 He's wrong about that, what I think he meant is there was a whole bunch of games that copied Hyper Light Drifter's art style. So many indies copied HLD that its art style doesn't even look as unique or striking as it did upon launch.
The only modern one that comes to mind is Mindustry. coincidentally, I think it's on sale, but you can get it for free since it's open source. It's a tower defense/factorio lite mix, and personally I find it very fun.
Steam's UI makes this really easy to check

Good list of games so far. Here are some that I haven't seen mentioned in no particular order: >Loop Hero Inverse tower defense roguelite >OpenRCT2 Classic theme park sim that's been open source and receiving regular updates for years now >Cruelty Squad Indie FPS about capitalism >Super Meat Boy Challenging platformer >Enter the Gungeon Bullet hell roguelite >Castle Crashers Beat-em-up best played with a full group of 4 >Felvidek RPG about an alcoholic Slovak
>>1280266 Bridge Constructor Portal is only 198.22 MB despite looking very nice imo. Minimum requirements pic related. Big recommendation! Opus Magnum, a very soulful, challenging alchemist puzzle game, is 442 MB. Minimum RAM 4GB according to the store page but I wonder if they really tested it on less. Dorfromantik, a casual, comfy "world builder" of sorts, is 536 MB. Its minimum requirements say 3 GB RAM though and I believe that's accurate as the maps you build can grow quite large.
>>1286199 sorry
>>1286199 Dorfromantik look like Reverse;1999 island-base.
XCOM: UFO Defense and Open Xcom
A Dance of Fire and Ice. Monolith/Star of Providence. Suguri/Sora. Blue Revolver. Hellsinker, Like Dreamer, Teleglitch, Petal Crash, Thumper... I really wish Steam's search / algorithm was better tuned / had more options and/or there were curators who actually did their job.

Yup, after this thread I accepted the reality that I'll never finish my backlog after adding over 9000 games from this thread.
>>1294150 Sometimes axing the backlog is the only reasonable choice, not every title suggested is worth the time of playing it.

I need to get into Baba Is You again every time I play I get stumped on a puzzle for 30+ minutes, cave and look up an answer, then feel like a retard and dejectedly put the game down for a few months This process has repeated many times. Great game though

>>1280266 Any game that came on a single CD, such as System Shock 2, Deus Ex, Thief, Fallout, the list goes on Also a lot of indies like Broforce, Jets n Guns, Nidhogg, Broforce, NEO Scavenger, also a very long list
>>1280266 >Katana Zero (2019, 216.3 MB) 2D side-scrolling platform combat game similar to Ninja Gaiden. The hook is that your character has precognition, so each level is framed as a potential scenario that plays out in their head prior to being executed, so if you mess something up it's considered a failure of planning, and successful runs are played back to you at the end of a level via CCTV camera footage, so you can see the 'right decisions' as they were recorded by an external source. You can also temporarily slow down time so you can do things like deflect bullets back at the marksman who shot them (or just git gud and learn the timing without the need for a handicap) and navigate course obstacles. 80s Vaporwave soundtrack and aesthetic with an interesting enough storyline. Free DLC coming soon. >Valheim (2021, 1.5 GB) Technically doesn't meet your requirement of being under 1GB but I had to include it for the sheer amount of content it has packed into such a small file size. It's a Minecraft-esque survival and crafting game in a procedural world. You collect resources to build bases and upgrade equipment and defeat enemies. Each biome has a boss to defeat which halts your upgrade progression. It's not a voxel based building game though so there is a limit to what you can build with it, but despite this it's still worthwhile for people who are into this sort of game. It's much more combat oriented than Minecraft though. This game has been in early access for some time, and is therefore unfinished, but it has a sizable modding community so there's bound to be a way for you to refine your experience if you're unsatisfied with vanilla. >Salt and Sanctuary (2016, 890.9 MB) 2D sidescrolling non-linear metroidvania that was inspired by Bloodborne. >Spark the Electric Jester (2017, roughly 400 MB) An indie game that was Kickstarted in 2017, it was developed by a Brazilian dev who is active in the Sonic fangame community, and who worked on a number of fan game titles, as well as contributing work to the Hedge Physics Unity based engine. As you can expect, this game was heavily influenced and inspired by Sonic, and so it plays a lot like a Sonic game. It manages to have similar speed and platforming of Sonic games, but with wall jumping and other traversal abilities, blended with a sort of Kirby or Mega Man-esque ability to consume foes and unlock new abilities. I've never played this one myself, but it's not hard to find online (for free) and I'm recommending it because it looks like something I would play. Here's a bunch of old games under or around 1GB that need no introduction: >Arx Fatalis (2002, 958.06 MB) >Beyond Good and Evil (2004, 2.7 GB) >Deus Ex (2000, 719.83 MB) >Elder Scrolls III Morrowind (2002, 1.06 GB) >Fallout (1997, 565 MB) >Half Life (1998, 636.48 MB) >Hitman Contracts (2004, 861.23 MB) >Ikaruga (2001, 512 MB) >Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver (1999, 679.85 MB)
>>1280266 Even though I don't play it very often, I love installing FTL on a fresh computer or maybe just a OS reinstall on my personal PC. Takes no time to download or install swear it's like 250 mega only

>>1293385 Yeah it's definitely one of the worst parts of early-game. Once you hit "midgame" it's not much of a problem anymore and you can just leave your characters AFK in certain parts for days/weeks for the most part.
