Totally fair. I haven't gotten Rio but I HAVE gotten a roster that's finally fucking letting me progress the main quests whereas when I started BA way back in the day, I tried to make due with who I could get from 2-3 rolls and got fucked over hard by armor compatibility.
It is definitely much easier to play BA even if you can't skillmax and limit break everyone, simply because levelling and equipment levelling at least is relatively cheap as shit. Whereas in FGO, you have to 10/10/10 everyone to loooooop properly and it takes VERY SPECIFIC characters to get everything done reliably and in a timely fashion.
I just feel vaguely sad that for some baffling reason (and it's totally possible I expended all my luck with Himari given how getting her with 1 roll is...not normal), it's much harder to get a SPECIFIC character in BA these days when BA is the game that emphasis for (you)ness harder.

As a partial escapee from FGO, NEVER play it unless you are so deep into Type-Moon shit that you have to know how everything works. Because between taking months to have SQ trickle fed into your palms (unlike BA where you can basically accidentally gather huge piles of pyros while trying to accomplish something else), the pity system that seems designed to mock you and the ancient gameplay the only real reason to stick around is story and lore dumps. And I will be the first to admit not only is the story not for everyone, but that's become increasingly convoluted due to Lasengle deliberately drawing it out for more money.
I guess the best thing I can say about FGO is there are much fewer varieties of mats to farm, but on the other hand you HAVE to farm everything manually and there are no auto battles. And also lately they've been introducing a wider variety of mats, so. Yeah.
