Tonight I want to talk about Kokuriko's hair. I was really busy and couldn't do this until now. It does fit Nature's Beauty to do this at night when all the honest folk are sleep, at least!
Kokuriko has very dark brown hair- dark enough to be seen as black. Her hair may seem like it only goes down to her chest, but behind her is a long, snaking piece of hair that goes down to her feet, if not touching the ground entirely. Her hair is quite asymmetrical, with her putting the long parts of it on her left side, where she holds her lorgnette (the term for her handled spectacles) and also herself? She definitely feels like a ghost with her pale complexion and red eyes- she's very mysterious, and if she didn't have a halo I'd think she was an undead because she looks like a murder mystery. What killed her? Was it the sharp implement, bullet or blade, that went through her head? Or perhaps it was the perforation she took to her stomach? It could also have been her being asphyxiated, or poisoned, possibly by a snake. Her hair gives an air of elegance while also being intimidating- she hides her left side with her fringe, but doesn't hide her eyes. Her hair does many things at once- it conceals, it reveals, it slithers, it withers, it's straight, it curls, it's a mess, it's refined and elegant. I would love to see more of her, she seems like she'd be fun to talk to. I also really wish I could smell her hair. Maybe it's the red and general darkness of her outfit, but she feels like she'd smell of raspberries- bitter, takes time to get used to, but there's a sweetness to it.
