Today I had an incident with nature and so Shuro's hair is going to be talked about. Shuro has long and messy pale lavender hair, though it could also be reasonably interpreted as dirty gray, or off-white. Due to her hair being incredibly messy, it's hard to say how long her hair is with perfect accuracy, but if it were cleaned then it would likely reach down to her upper calves, though knee-length is also acceptable. The haori she wears only exacerbates the problem of hair length, but it is definitely long! Shuro's hair is styled in what can be politely described as domestically handled, though to be more accurate, looks like she had a bowl put over her head and that was how her bangs were cut to that length. Her hair is generally straight, but has a lot of stray hairs going every which way showing a lack of her recently brushing her hair, or that shemight not put in enough effort in brushing her hair because she doesn't like to feel the knots in her hair, but doesn't quite know how to get them out. Shuro's hair is also very thin to the point of worrying about her health- while some may argue that Saki has shaggier hair, Saki definitely has the fuller head of hair. Saya also has a very crazy hairstyle, but has her hair literally shining with the care put into it, along with her hair being full throughout the entire length, while Shuro's hair is, once again, thin enough to warrant some concern.
Shuro really needs to take care of herself, and while there might be some justification she could make about it being natural, being healthy and having a good head of hair is also natural as well as beautiful. This naturally goes into the rest of her physical appearance, where her bandages all over are hopefully fresh, but she should also take close care of those areas and clean them! Infection is no joke! And even if they're just for show or meant to represent talismans like on her gun, it's important for her skin to get the proper attention it deserves! Shuro may write ghost stories, but if this lack of personal hygiene continues, she may eventually become one herself, which is no good!
How her hair smells is once again a similar case of Kokuriko- it's difficult to smell a ghost. Maybe that's for the best in Shuro's case, but I would imagine her hair smells like gunpowder as it is right now, like a spark her way will cause revolution and great change. However! It is my duty to help my students, and Shuro is no exception! I would make her smell like the great tree of Hyakkiyako, and maybe take her to a joyous hot spring after- something tells me she'd melt in it, and then we can walk along forest paths hidden from most while she talks about her favorite ghost stories!
