Sounds contradictory, so feel free to elaborate if I got it wrong, but you mean it's all about finding a balance of text/white space, right?
I'll don't know if paint.net has a stroke tool for borders, but I'll look into it.
Appreciate the comment!

>The TL comes off a bit stiff; I always think it's best to try to not TL stuff too literally and to take some liberties to make it sound more natural in English. For example, the second panel is a bit of an awkward read.
Indeed, perhaps at this point in time I tend to go with a more literal approach rather than going too much into my liberal translation. I think that may stem from the fact that I got a little bit mindbroken seeing those game jp/eng TL comparisons (you know the ones), where the english is nothing like what's in the raw, so I think that may be why I try to avoid it at all costs, which makes it stray off into the too literal territory instead hah. There should be a balance of it, not trying to stray too far from the original but also not as stiff as a literal translation could be, I agree and that's

a nice suggestion of a translation there. I like it.
>You have some weird capitalizations mid-sentence here and there.
Ah yeah, the "I" in "it" in the last Kuroko bubble is capitalized. I don't see anything else besides it? But yep, that's a mistake.
>One last turbo-autist nitpick is that I'd say avoid fonts with serifs (horizontal lines in the capital "I").
I don't think I personally care about that so I'll leave it.
Thank you for the feedback!
