Today I want to talk about Yuuka and her hair. Yuuka has hip-length purple hair that's not quite straight and just a bit curly. She has her hair in a twin ponytail fashion, but the manner in which they're "tied" is interesting. Maybe they're being held together by a miniature propulsion field that allows finer objects through, like hair, but bigger objects like a bullet can't get through. The Yuuka hairpost is nothing compared to the Yuuka hairtiepost, those accessories are really cool. That, and outside of her hair being somewhat ruffled from stress, there's not much to talk about with her hair.
Yuuka's sports outfit has more sci-fi in it with the drones hovering near her and the robot dogs that accompany her. Interestingly, though, her ponytail isn't tied by sci-fi means (assumedly), instead likely just a normal hairtie, probably so she can move around better (and the propulsion field theory likely means she can't move too fast or they lose calibration and turn off as a safety mechanism). Yuuka with her hair down is very cute, and a very nice length between being too long to function, and too short to style. It is interesting that she decided to not put all her hair into her ponytail, too. It might be a fashion thing?
Yuuka's pajamas, her hair is held up with what seems to be a headband that's angled to instead hold her hair behind her, possibly meant for her to one day be able to do some spa treatment. Said day is likely later rather than sooner, unfortunately.
The hairpost part of Yuuka is very short, and that's because Yuuka's hair is simple, yet effective. No, the real length would come from Yuuka's outfits because of how they do "show, don't tell".
Yuuka's base outfit is the first thing you see from the Millennium Science School. A smart suit indicates her status as the book-balancer, the twin guns and magazine belt reminding you that Kivotos has even the pencil-pushers wielding firearms. While she has the Millennium logo on her badge and the buckle of her belt, the true indicator that she's a student there is her coat. A warm thing, going by the diamond pattern inside of it, but also replicates a lab coat reasonably well, with its own sci-fi twist on it. Realistically, it's not meant for Yuuka to use this to shield against dangerous chemicals or other experiments, and is likely meant more as a subtle way to authenticate her to the security systems (if she suddenly appears without her coat and the systems never saw her remove said coat, that's suspicious, for example). It's also likely worn for the simple fact that it's comfy. Her gloves add further professionalism to her appearance, as does her trigger discipline. This is compounded with her shoes and socks, having another blue line on the outsides. Perhaps all this blue is meant to also keep the various robots from accidentally running into a student? Then there is the hairties, which could be any number of things. As earlier mentioned, it could be a propulsion field that has a deadzone in the center allowing her hair to go through, or it's holding/being held in place by a hairtie made of some substance. It does a good job at showing a new Sensei that Yuuka's school is futuristic compared to others, and also more subtly shows skill with various maths in her wearing equilateral triangles.
Yuuka's sports outfit is another comfortable piece, though that's probably out of coincidence more than it is a conscious choice. The Millennium blue is mainly meant to indicate her affiliation at a glance even from a distance, but she's not wearing her jacket on her shoulders, instead having them rest near her elbows. That's probably due to her doing this normally with her coat, since it's meant more to keep her warm than it is to keep up appearances. Her shoes are sporty slip-ons that likely have some air going through them, making them incredibly light features. It's nice seeing Yuuka trying to keep a cooler body temperature as opposed to a warmer body temperature, because that means she's getting some fresh air and sunlight. The star sticker is where I wouldn't know what its use is for. Maybe it's a subtle cute side from her? It's all relatively normal, if not somewhat efficient, which is then contrasted by the robots that surround her. First, there is what looks to be a stopwatch, but may also have means to control some of the robots. It might be a dedicated hub that the remote connects to in order to amplify the signal so that way her robots can go further than normal. A clever little thing with many different functions. The remote looks like a Ring doorbell, but is much more than that. How it works is difficult to tell, but the center radial button is likely to move a device in a certain direction. The buttons below that are probably preset instructions like grabbing a drink or recording something, and the topmost button is the power button, though that's probably meant to be a "return to home" function more than a dedicated OFF switch. Below that might be a resync button, in case the selected robot is acting strange. These robots are quite sophisticated, too. The dogs are the simpler ones, likely used for transport and entertainment, going by the flat backs. The tail is used to stabilize the machine in case it detects an imbalance sufficient enough to potentially make it lose balance and thus drop whatever/whoever its holding. The limbs are very flexible, able to rest straight but also stand like a dog, possibly because a joint is in there, but also possibly from instructions to change what stance it uses. These dogs are capable of carrying very heavy weights, and they can very likely carry in excess of 100kg, probably meant to more easily assist with hauling bulky lab equipment from one department to another. What's most interesting is the means by which they charge themselves, as they rest much like a real dog. This implies they can charge with solar, but said solar panels are very well hidden on its body. It could also just be a low energy mode that's activated because it's trying to conserve energy until it is given a command by whoever is controlling it, and if there is nobody controlling it then it tries to go to one of Millennium's charging bays. Finally there are the sweeper-like airborne drones. These things are truly impressive! They're likely using a rechargeable battery, which is why they need to cool off from sustained use. But they're capable of what seems to be levitation as opposed to traditional flight, as well as having a limited vacuum ability on their undersides. Typical early stages of non-propeller based levitation involves an upwards jet of some thing or other; a rocket, in simple terms. However, these indicate that Millennium is capable of more than that since they're using small propeller like flight, only without any rotors. It's possible that these are still rotors, just retractile rotors of a small form factor, allowing them to enter the main body when not in use for more convenient storage, which would be impressive in itself in how such a lightweight system is powerful enough for flight, but strong enough to not rip itself apart. If it IS proper levitation, which is possible going by how there are hovering drones, then there's many different ways it can be done. I believe that these use some means of reverse propulsion- that is, they have a jet on top of their body that would angle down, but there's magnetic forces that act on harmless microscopic particles, defeating both gravity and the jet pointing at the ground. However, that might be unstable. It could also be that the opposite is true, and they create a disc-like vacuum to suck in the air. This would also give them a second function as air purifiers, which is definitely more useful than something that tries to shoot itself into the ground. Their "eyes" are an interesting bit of engineering as well, seeing how they can angle themselves and more easily indicate status. They're actually quite emotive, and if you were to rub the side of one, then it would probably have the lower half turn off indicating a happy response, a very useful companion to help a scientist relieve stress. They seem like birds in a way, in how their eyes always try to balance to the center of gravity. This is likely also done so it can be able to self-right should it somehow fall on a side that's not the bottom, through it calculating which gyroscopic sensor is the most extreme, then using some small force, like a sharp gust of air, to right itself, then activating its flight to stabilize itself more properly.
Yuuka's pajamas are very soft and fluffy, but it's also cute how she has cat faces printed on them. It's a very subtle hint that she actually does care about the GDD, but she's typically forced to take the role of a stern mother with them. Her slippers are also very soft, and going by the gift preferences she has, she's likely willing to try anything for a stress-free sleep.
Then there is the operator uniform, a simple piece, but also very reliable like the math she believes in... And though she'll never admit it openly, she believes in Sensei just as much.
Yuuka has to keep a professional look about her, seeing how she's typically the representative of Millennium. As such, she takes good care of her hair, but it's more obvious on her than others that there's some roughness from stress. Her hair smells sweet and like soap, but the specifics on this are a secret. In unrelated news, if you try to brush Yuuka's hair, she'll yell at you to do your work, but then also say that she doesn't mind, before proceeding to really get into it. It's very cute.
