Today I want to talk about Michiru and her hair. Michiru has straight grey hair that, when left natural, goes down to her calves, about where her tail ends. Her hair has a gradient, going from a very light gray that's almost white, to an incredibly dark gray that's almost black. It's the most extreme gradient on her outfit, though she has a lot of black and white throughout, like with her legs, arms and even her tail. Her bangs also show this gradient, making her look like the fog a ninja blends into. On her left, one strand of her bangs progresses back from black into white, then a dull red, which is a cool little thing that can be easily glossed over. She has a loose strand on her left, and hair vents so small they're meant more to indicate her roots than be hair vents. She wears her symbol on her left, being the Ninjutsu Research Club's Tanuki, that likely has a name along the lines of "Michiru-style badge of proof!", the proof part being proof of her strong bond with her compatriots. She ties her hair up in twintails, just underneath her animal ears. They're tied with black ribbons. Michiru's hair shows some fraying and rebelliousness, indicating that she's either really dedicated to the ninja lifestyle or can't groom her hair as often as she should. At the same time, it could easily just be that she doesn't get very good sleep because of her working so hard for "Michiruchim A Girl's Ninja Scroll". Her hair has a good chance of smelling like gunpowder, soot and may outright be a bit singed, but that's simply proof that she works hard. Catch her before she's worked hard for the day, and her hair will smell like the flowers found in a lord's palace, a peaceful, inconspicuous breeze. It's been a week, meaning it's another review for the hairposts. This week was Kazusa, Ein, Subaru, Akane, Shunling, Midori, and Michiru. I'll admit this set might be too inconsistent, from Kazusa being relatively tame, to finishing up Decagrammaton with Ein, having a JP student that's also a major part of the story, then going into Akane and realizing there's a lot of blondes in C&C, getting too excited for Shanhaijing before realizing the consequences of making a paired hairpost, to finally this. The bright side is that because of that inconsistency, it's easier to point at some and say that these were good, these weren't as good. My personal favorite was Shunling's, but that's because it reminded me why I wrote in a verbose style, which is why it might have spilled too much spaghetti.
