As far as I know Kiwistation lives once more and has for about six months now.
Also: depending on what your standard for "populated enough" is you might like /vg/station; it tops out at ~30 people most days during primetime and it's ERP-free, English-speaking and not a rulecucked hellscape lorded over by trannies. There are obviously SOME rules (pretty basic stuff - no netspeak in chat, no ERP, no metacomms or meta-gaming or meta-grudging, don't be a salty little bitch when you get owned, don't self-antag, don't fuck up the arrivals shuttle, don't intentionally try to crash the server, etc.) but it's LRP and the real appeal is that the vast majority of problems are handled IC. If someone calls you a nigger and you ahelp them for it the mods will laugh at you and post your ahelp in OOC when the round is over and if you decide to use your antag roll to grab a revolver and start blasting people in the halls you won't face any judgement more severe than people in deadchat talking about how boring you are and bitching that you interrupted whatever autism project they were working on. If you decide to "assist" medbay by giving them an open floor plan and start destroying their tables and doors, someone in medbay will knock you out with chloral hydrate, give you a sex change or turn you into a monkey or cut off your hands or whatever and then flush you down disposals instead of crying to the admemes.
The thread on halfchan /vg/ is currently a garbage fire though, so I'd avoid it. A while back someone started a massive shitpost campaign and spamming AIslop and furry porn and things of that ilk and that basically killed the threads, which then kept falling off of the board because of the massive turnover from gachanigger/MMO/FOTM threads.
