>>1527 Are you aware of a channel called TheQuartering? I assume they're all like that. >WOKE SJW [franchise] OWNED EPIC STYLE That's the basic formula of all their videos. There are a million channels like this and I don't understand who is watching them. The other possibility is Mauler-style content, AKA really fucking long videos by psueds who pretend to understand media theory.

>>1529 you serious? Who's watching them? You niggers. All you neocon shills, pop natsocs, gg, imageboard reddit faggots who want to feel like you're defeating them and little victories over them are the viewers of these channel. I've seen you recommend synthetic man, mooler, e;r in /v/ and lauded as based men. Hell, quartering was posted daily in gg threads and called ourguy till his grifting was revealed and suddenly all you snakes no named him, act like you never liked him and hide your prior allegiance to cover your mistakes. I guarantee you many fans of criticaldrinker are here but silent for fear of being judged.
>>1529 >>1559 I don't speak for anyone else, but I'm #GG and never sought out TheQuartering's videos. I did see some of his tweets Elon Musk engaged. Thumbnail looks like political clickbait and ego-massaging, like TV telling boomers Millennials are lazy and poor due to avocado toast.
>>1464 I watched the show and its not that bad
>>1636 The issues with the show are mostly due to how it takes a big fat shit on Fallout 1, 2, and New Vegas. If you never played the games or only played Bethesda's games it wouldn't surprise me if you liked the show or at least found it okay. Thus it wouldn't surprise me if Drinker liked the show as he's not a videogames guy, and thus wouldn't understand lore autism like the ghoul juice being a bad change, the enclave somehow returning being bad, the BoS wankery being a continuation of Bethesda fallout BS, Shady Sands getting nuked in 2277 retconning New Vegas because the NCR would've imploded into civil war due to the panic and power imbalance, The trio of vaults prominent in the show not getting discovered and wrecked by the Master's armies despite being direct open-air vaults with one even opening to fucking beachfront, Gun Runners being nowhere, Mr. House getting retconned massively and character assinated, Bethesda's soft reboot in 4 being carried over to the west coast with this show being canon (in a bad way with the terrible aesthetic changes and gun designs), Bethseda trying to force the series into being post-apocalyptic across the board when Fallout 1/2/NV are post-post-apoc, etc. But, I don't think Drinker's review is legit due to the opening being near 1-to-1 with ggmanlives's shill video on Starfield. It reeks of that under-the-table money kind of shit and while he's not exactly known for that it wouldn't surprise me if he took a deal with this one. Also could be a case of him just being a fanboy of Westworld S1 and this show just being post-apoc Westworld before the non-simulation parts shat up the show in later seasons alongside the directors shoving in a ton of female and minority empowerment BS.
>>1636 My issue with the show is that it feels like cutscenes and not in a good way
>>1636 >>1643 reddit pls go and stay go
>>1643 I agree with similarities to westworld s1, not literally but in general feel of a world thats essentilly wild west but just alien enough to generate interest. It was clear since announcement they were gonna water it down heavily for general audience and not tell direct stories from the game. Bethesda/Amazon won't have the balls to set the game during any of games and actually tell what the games told. They basically took all the cool stuff from the games and put it into their own template of "cool tv show" with characters of "hero" "badass anti hero" "evil mastermind villain who must be defeated" "evil local villain who murders the hero's freind to give them motivation" etc. They wouldn't have gone beyond the safe options.
>>1636 >>1713 I have a feeling it'll be like witcher s1 and pour more shit and fan fiction tier dykes in s2 now they're comfortable that people like this, turning it to crap and people complain where did it went wrong
>>1717 Most likely this. I don't know any videogame adaptations that can be considered "good," and the few that are passable don't last long at all. Because they're different mediums, and fundamentally can't tell the same story as each other because of that, which is something the people producing these things simply don't understand, censorship and retecons notwithstanding.
>>1755 I like the 1995 Mortal Kombat movie. The first Tomb Raider was alright, too. But I admit I never really got into the Tomb Raider games.
>>1755 >>1717 oh yeah people are more surprised that it somewhat passable knowing the history of video game adaptation. Witcher series is forgotten when cavill left. Fun fact, witcher series was very popular with women, precisely between geralt, ciri and yennefer. Now same women have no reason to watch it.
>>1783 Why does that picture look like a recolored old timey photograph?
