Is the hype back yet?
video games?
>>24459 I haven't used 4chan much since it came back It's still the same endless baitbosting and marketer faggots and console wars with some dedicated autist schizoposting ruining actual vidya discussion I'd rather remain here even with a slow as fuck board Quality over quantity
>>24459 what killed the hype?
looks like a good thread to ask. Is there something like a gacha for vtubers? i lack the knowledge on both topics, but i figured it's community would be quite a sight to behold.
>>24468 corpo debuts are basically gacha the TCGs, but no one really cares
>>24466 4chan killed it
>>24459 4/v/ is banning for everything
I'm still not going back kek.
>>24735 Someone should create /v2/ and have all the people banned from /v/ go there, it's the only way to not be trapped by stupid jannies The new board owner must just be semi-active for removing the fags and porn spam, since the banned people are often the funniest, any board gathering them will do fine
>>24849 We already have like ten video games boards for fuck's sake, we don't need to atomize gamers even more than we already fucking are.

>>24459 This is probably the last update I'm going to do to this chart, the direction is already clear enough
>>24857 I was going to suggest you include the data from before the hack. I expect roughly 60% of our new users will be gone by Christmas judging from past experience. It looks like we're still going to gain a few hundred users from the exodus.
>>24857 Interesting, it seems the site has maintained a lot of refugees in /v/ , /gacha/ and /vyt/, even small boards such as /co/ got new posters
>>24873 >people say they're going to stick around >they do so >somehow this is surprising I think the post counts gradually decreasing post 4chan revival aren't people leaving it's just people settling into a more long-term posting habit. When this place was new and there was a happening it was very exciting so people posted more, but now it's just kind of settling into a new status quo and people aren't checking the site as often. When 4chan was down probably 50% of the posts were just people talking about 4chan being down after all.
>>24859 there were like 10 people here before 4chan went down lol
>>24459 >Post in a thread >Go to bed >Wake up and check the thread >0 to 1 new replies And people wonder why everyone went back to 4chan. Sorry i like to talk about other stuff besides gacha and generals
>>24913 What do you want to talk about?
>>24913 I only really care for my general and it's going well so far so I guess I'm okay with this for now
>>24905 This board had 20, I'll have you know :^) The whole site reportedly had about 600-800, but our admin said that stat was wrong and the real number was around three times higher, something to do with how they counted IPs ranges. At that point 8chan was one of the bigger imageboards, plenty of even smaller ones survive just fine. If you have 4chan ADHD brain I can see why these places look dead in comparison, threads lasting longer than 20 milliseconds must be bizarre.
>>25038 large nigger penis
Oh yeah I saw this being talked about elsewhere >>>/vyt/158090 They basically lost what they would have lost naturally by 2030 because of the hack. Offline for 10 days, lost 5 years worth of posters. Question is, why has 4chan been loosing traffic since 2022 if there are more people online than ever? Only thing I can point to is Discord eroding alot of the traffic. And maybe Twitter/TikTok. Guessing alot of young folk see image boards as a dinosaur.
>>25099 >Question is, why has 4chan been loosing traffic since 2022 if there are more people online than ever? This was only brought to my attention in recent months, and I've been wondering since. Some people have told me it's because Elon Musk bought Twitter and that attracted certain 4chan users, but idk
>>25099 big tech won those people who are coming online? all kids raised on their phones who've had twitter/insta/tiktok accounts since they were twelve and/or thirdworlders, basically the same thing is what it is
>>24857 For an altchan, that graph looks good. /a/ going straight back to halfchan is predictable. Both /a/ and /jp/ have splintered into many altchans and dicksword/matrix servers for more than a decade now. All of them double post on 4/a/ despite some claiming not wanting to do anything with the site. >>25099 >Offline for 10 days, lost 5 years worth of posters. and that's why they went from "in about 3 weeks maybe more" down to only 1+ week. Any longer and this site might retain an even larger portion of their posters. Not just any random poster, but their quality posters, which in turn will accelerate their demise. It'd be funny to see the site's entire posters made up of paid jeet shills and glowniggers though, ngl. >>25101 I can't speak for other boards, but for /a/ and /jp/ you can look at my reply above. Christmas is usually when the 4/a/ oldfags come out of their super sekrit club to poach new anons.
