Well literally it would be lazy worldbuilding in fantasy games, but that isn't an interesting answer. I suppose it could be the "You are the chosen one and God's Specialist Little Boy" trope for protags in everything from military FPS to open world RPGs, it's a way to hand wave away all the superhuman feats they effortlessly achieve.
