>>30780 As someone who has barely touched Multiplayer games for like 10 years, playing an old game on a dedicated server for around an hour and shouting our slurs is still fantastic as a venting mechanism. Anything that makes you grind will just burn you out. Probably the reason I also really like MilSims despite higher social and time commitments, not super competitive, no grind and the game progress is instanced. No profile ranking bullshit, just a good old time. Played DOD Source and HL2 Deathmatch recently by myself and it was a blast just playing casually and shooting the shit with randos.
