>Be me >Be a survival horror game about viral outbreaks that turn humans into monstrous flesh eaters >Have themes about institutional abuse, especially of women and children >Have cool guns and weaponry, interesting action set pieces >Have voice acting that ranges from pretty good to hokey and hilarious >Also occasionally have the scariest, shit your pants, no sleep tonight moments in most AAA horror games >Have linear progression through non-linear hub areas >Have ammo and healing management >Be Resident Evil franchise >pic unrelated Both are good btw, I just think a fromsoft ARPG with a Resident Evil-like setting would be cool (more modern than BB tho) :P
>>30768 I've long wanted a weird west souls game myself. >a Resident Evil-like setting would be cool (more modern than BB tho) You don't want to make a horror story too modern or it starts to fall apart, I think. Turn of the (last) century + 20 or 30 years possibly is really dialed in for the most modern horror you can get without having to set it in remote, backward locations. Even RE itself does this in several of its earlier games. 0 an 1 had you in the spooky estate, CV had you in a replica spook estate set on an island, 4 had you in a backwards European village.
