What is the worst game you've played? Unironically
>>481 The only game that comes to mind is fifa, i generally pick the game i'm going to play very carefully. How about you?
>>481 Wii Music >>484 Feefah is at least a game
(67.76 KB 300x425 Arcade Action.jpg)

(47.71 KB 300x434 The Sniper 2.jpg)

I can think of two actually, but the first is especially bad, because Phoenix games have the tendency to somehow put your PS2 into maximum overdrive and probably shortens your console's lifespan due to the sound it makes when you boot it up.
>>491 Yeah, checks out. Those both look like something you'd find in the dollar bin at Walmart circa 2005.
(2.61 MB 480x360 Furry Tales.mp4)

>>491 >Phoenix Now that's an interesting company, they put out some real weird shit on the PS2. They're probably mostly known for Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, but I always associate them with Furry Tales, a game I am almost certain stole its half assets from Warcraft 3. They were a very prolific publisher, putting out maybe 50 games on the PS2 alone. I think they went backrupt at some point during the Wii era, not many of those shovelware developers survived the 7th gen.
E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy
>>502 I never knew they did an RTS game on the PS2, stolen assets or not. I just thought they only did shovelwares using Disney assets. My younger cousin bought "Dalmatians 3" once, it's incredible how they'd believe something like that can be shipped. Only 4-5 minigames with some shitty animation video, like many of their games. How all of it flew under Disney's radar is a mystery.
>>486 Speaking of Wii Music, have you seen 1-2-Switch? It was made as a pack in game for the Switch but Nintendo decided against it because they thought it would hurt the console's sales. It's possibly the worst thing Nintendo EPD has made and somehow it sold almost 4 million copies in spite of that.
A bunch of minigame compilations on Wii, a couple of Playstation Move games, and M&Ms Kart Racing. Worst I've ever finished is probably X-Men Destiny on Wii. Much as people love that console, it had way too much shovelware shit.
>>628 >Midas I feel like they were behind most shovelware I found on PS2.
I'd tell you but the worst game I've played I likely forgot. Shovelware, edutainment, one of those 50-games-in-one collection games sold for a few bucks at Office Depot? Probably one of those.
>>649 What platform?
>>649 Lots of terrible flash games, too. It can be hard to remember the worst one. >>653 I don't remember many edutainment games on console so I assume he means PC.
Some flash dress-up doll game that didn't even work and bugged the hell out. Don't even remember the name because those were a dime-a-dozen, though I do remember it being summer themed. For non flash/browser game trash. I think that'd have to go to Touhou Kobuto V Burst Battle on switch, just due to charging full price and the controls being a complete clusterfuck, plus no tutorials or such to understand the game. On to of that the game feels floaty as shit and moves don't have any real impact.
>>643 If you lived in Europe? Absolutely. Ghostlight was their Japanese localization branch by the way.
>>655 I would wager there are countless flash files that barely manage to straddle the line of "game." >>653 PC mainly, there were a lot of really cheap or shit quality edutainment games made aping off popular brands, or even as a promotional thing. I'm sure there were some edutainment games made for console but it was most common on PC.
I finished Devil May Cry 2 on DMD with Trish. Looking back it really is the worst game I have ever played. I played shitty games before but this one really struck my nerves long time after playing it. Trolling about the game being gud is fun tho https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zYBUv6Ge2E
The game is a meme at this point, but Superman 64 is the worst game I've actually beaten. It's not overhyped, the game really is that bad, in a totally different category of bad to games like Daikatana and Devil May Cry 2. Superman 64 is closer in spirit to "games" like Big Rigs and Crazy Bus than anything else.
>>955 Played it, couldn't finish because of how ass it was. Worst game I played was some Flash platformer jank I don't remember the name of because it was so forgettable.

>>481 Luck based games, such as Mario Kart or games whose content is sold separately, such as GTA5. >>628 >Wolfenstein Did that franchise with a jewish Gary Stu finally died? Last time I checked they got a female Beavis and Butthead.
A collection of old Heretic deathmatch wads. I was alone. It wasn't very fun.
>>1232 No Mario Kart is luck-based and you're coping because you lost. They have elements of luck, most have counterplay, and top players trump casuals 100/100 times.
>>696 >Ghostlight Man why do all the shit companies have the coolest names?
Life
Sorry, OP, I only play games ironically.
>>481 This physics-based car crash testing simulator. I don't remember what it was called. It was just something I found in one of the share threads back on old 8chan. As far as notable games go, I really hated The Last of Us, even more than Thief 4. It felt surreal when the second game came out and everyone was acting like the first one was this great classic whose legacy had been ruined.
(21.98 KB 270x380 Woven-Box-Image.jpg)

Some weird children's shovelware style game I purchased on the Switch e-store when it was on sale for like 80% or 90% off and I was half-asleep hoping playing it would help me fall asleep after reading, breathing exercises, and listening to asmr sounds failed to help me nod off back in the summer of 2020. It was not very fun, poorly designed/linear, and strangely very easy to sequence break/go the wrong way in.
(389.08 KB 810x920 Braid_fullart.jpg)

>>1322 What a shame, because that cover looks neat. It vaguely reminds me of Braid's cover.
(16.16 KB 640x480 Oekaki)

>>1323 I genuinely don't know how this game got treated as a philosophical thesis (and atom bomb?) when its a good platformer with time mechanic and "you're the shadow villain" reveal. Journos were fellating it like cray
>>1325 Because Blow treated it as such and it was a time period where games media loved to dickride auteur types. He's a great game designer but insanely up his own ass. Did you hear they released a new version with almost twice the levels? I haven't checked it out yet but I might play it again.
>>2065 >>1323 IT AINT NO POINT TO THE GAME
>>1325 I remember taking a mandatory "game design" class at the uni and the teacher (professional game designer and game critic LOL) was also fellating it like crazy. He was also really big into that shitty 17 pixels-high game where you just go right all the time and can't go left and die at the end because IT REPRESENTS LIFE AND THE CHOICES WE MAKE DURING LIFE DO YOU GET IT YET VIDEO GAMES ARE ART I'M FUCKING COMING THANKS OP MINE DONG FLEW OUT THE WINDOW
>>2102 Oh my god you reminded me of all those shitty art games around circa 2006-2013. It's embarrassing to look back on that era especially considering I bought into a lot for awhile. They were always fucking web and flash games too, weren't they? It took playing The Stanley Parable to make me question the validity of titles like Dear Esther and One Chance, because Stanley Parable was doing the kind of thing they were attempting to but was actually clever and didn't make me feel like I had to force myself to enjoy it as not to be "anti-intellectual". The rather muted response to Everybody's Gone to the Rapture signaled the end for these games in my opinion. You still see them sometimes, but with the advent of titles like The Talos Principle and Pathologic 2 you just can't get away with that pretentious wank like you could 15 years ago when journos were desperate for "smart" games to prove the games were mature and "actually totally art, guys!"
>>2104 I've never played the Stanley Parable, but it had a mostly sarcastic tone, didn't it? Shitty art games had probably been around long enough for them to have a lot of material to mock.
>>1232 >Did that franchise with a jewish Gary Stu finally died? Yeah, New Colossus did less than the previous game and the sequel to that flopped hard. Guy who pushed most of the bad ideas is gone now and the Swedecucks at Machine Games are making the Indiana Jones game. I doubt they'll touch the IP anytime soon.
Fuck this game
>>2109 It such a shame though since wolfenstein was much better than DOOD had actual level design and dual wielding weapons especially the ricochet shotguns. It got butchered by the jew insertion. I heard they (DEI) specifically targeted this franchise because it had nazi imagery and was at height of 2016 elections going forward
>>2189 The writing of that game still confuses me. >Nazis get futuristic tech and conquer the world >This turns out to be ancient Jew tech >Jews were aware of this tech and chose not to share it with the world for thousands of years, even when the Nazis used it to conquer the world and exterminate billions of people
>>2172 That game was dissappointing in every field.
>>2172 >>2191 Was that the weird VR voice command game where you'd say spells to cast them or some shit?
>>2192 No, it was some first person brawler/shooter game where you play as a mage. You could craft magic spells using sigils and you could have lightning AoE or flame spells or whatever, with rarity levels similar to Borderlands. I remember not liking it, it was slow, kind of dull, the enemies were dumb, the levels were painfully linear, what I remember from the story was just retarded... I wouldn't say it's the worst game ever made, but it was forgettable. I had more fun with Ziggurat.
>>2193 Oh yeah, Ziggurat was great. Got a little dull after a few playthroughs but I ended up 100%'ing it. Still haven't checked out the sequel though.
(16.58 MB 320x240 1942.mp4)

Ever heard of 1942 on the NES? Probably that. I'm surprised AVGN never did an episode on it, it's far worse than Friday the 13th or Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. Imagine the slowest, most uneventful, content-less, boring game possible, with "music" that literally sounds like a cashier scanning barcodes. Now imagine 32 levels of it. You get a game over, it's back to the beginning. Even if you do a perfect 1CC of the game, it's like an hour an a half long. Mind-numbing.
(84.35 KB 474x671 th-1674747150.jpg)

The word simulator would've been apt for this game.
>>2409 Ha! I too remember when console ports of arcade games were godawful. It began with Pac-Man.
>>481 What are some features that just kills your joy? Mine are: >Game offers high difficulty mode if you thought the main one was easier than a Fisher Price toy >Makes the controls so fucking sluggish, hit detection won't fucking work <I'm talking about Last of Us >Addictive multiplayer class shooter >Uh-oh better keep the game relevant, let's update it beyond from recognition and it fucking crashes more often in the middle of a match >But hey at least you got an overpriced polygon <I'm talking about SMNC, Paladins, Loadout, every fucking game that tried to compete with Team Fortress 2 Vintage Fortress 2 was too good for this world, I hope the other TF2 offshoots don't meet the same fate, despite the main game shitting itself more often with the 64bit update.
(51.44 KB 258x387 fucknut.jpg)

>>481 This trashfire, I had no idea going in what it was just picked it up second hand thankfully very cheap, still a rip off, they should have given *me* money for taking it out of the building, it went straight back the same day. A trite as fuck played out buggy cynical 'stop the ebul nuke thieves' vehicle for a Mickey fuckin' cocksuckin' shitfuck cuntbag Rourke voiced asshole to stab bullet allergic Best Koreans in retarded ways then god-awfully shoot bullet sponge Best Koreans in powersuits in boring ways for 4 hours then a shitty song plays over the credits (of a group of people who should commit suicide for the good of mankind) where all the times he humourlessly barked super edgy swears like 'fuck' and 'cocksucker' and 'shitfuck' throughout the game, (which is around 8000 times) are all brought back for a great old nostalgic trip back to the FOUR fucking hours you just spent listening to this same shitnoise. Mickey Rourke deserves a slap for agreeing to lend his voice to it then a kick in the balls for reading the script and still doing it cos fuck me it's like some 12 year old who just learned to swear wrote it,
>>2537 Tf2 Vintage was trashfire and the dev and his discord circlejerk took it down with them. TF2C is the best mod of the game precisely because it kept to its original goal and balanced fun. Open fortress looks good but I don't fancy it. Every single class based shooter that tried to "compete" with TF2 met a same fate because it tried to ape other games too much and was no longer fun. Too frequent of updates, lost its own identity, people simply went to play other games and never looked back.
>>1232 "Badass masculene Christian godwarrior" Doomslayer was retconned into being BJ's descendant so he's now canon Jewish. >>2189 >the jew insertion It was anti-Nazi from day 1 you stupid asshole! I bet you're one of those Trump's Deranged Supporter pricks that got mad at Rage Against The Machine in 2022 for being "leftists" when they've been since the 90s. Your failed painter lost, get over it.
>>2562 Has anyone tried Pre-Fortress 2? It's like another Day of Defeat, sometimes it gets traffic on weekends. >>2575 >BJ's <911 was an inside blow job But he had throw away his jewish beliefs because hell exists and not the wheat reincarnation.
Gabe Newell Simulator. This was the first game I ever refunded. I knew it was just gonna be a shitpost, but I didn't think it was gonna be with a capital SHIT.
>>2189 Not gonna lie, the dual wielded ricochet shotgun was best implementation of a shotgun since the original double barelled shotgun
>>2409 The thing is that a lot of games were like that back then. Also, when a game's biggest crime is being pretty boring, that's hard to make funny. Plus, James Rolfe and the slobs writing his show now don't seem to be into shooters like this in the first place. The only one I remember him ever mentioning positively is Life Force. If you don't like the genre, it's easy to see them as just all being the same. 1943 is awesome though.
>>3160 Couldn't they have the fat fuck sit there and jerk off to their shitacular games? A nice piece of satire that requires no effort, in which the player is only capable to move the camera and whenever Gabe needs to shit that's where the real adventure starts.
>>3230 He's currently not so fat of a fuck.
>>481 Both Dead Island games: >Forcing you to play in first person because third person would make the game easy as shit, making it impossible for you to see what's damaging the character >Stiff controls and slow as shit movement even if you choose the fastest survivor >Terrible fucking jokes and forced voice acting, literally that millennial writing video in which they pin point what ruined gaming just to cater their NPC hipster kind >Ugly as shit character design, but then rave party tards are know for looking like drug riddled filled with STD living trainwrecks >>3231 He still looks like shit, like ReviewTechUSA who had his fat sucked out.
>>3231 He looks evil now. Like a garden gnome that managed to grow up.
>>3258 Could've sworn there was a picture associated with that post (gnome Chompsky)
>>3260 >Chompsky Jeffrey Gabepstein
>>3231 Holy ozempic
>>3290 I don't know why people say this about every person that loses weight, people said this about some British royal and it turned out she had cancer. Most also only lose 15-20 pounds, if you're a hyper fat fuck like Gabe was it would be of limited help.
>>3292 People say that because Ozempic has gained some fame these days.
(8.77 KB 250x250 ObesityFacts.jpg)
