/LNg/ Japanese Light Novel General Thread Anonymous 09/21/2025 (Sun) 09:23:31 Id: 6d4325 No. 72984
This thread is for anything related to the discussion of Japanese light novels, WN/Web Novels included, as well as their anime and manga adaptations. Isekai included.
>>74356 >>74357 There's just so many girls in this thing I don't even remember.
>>74358 It gets even worse better.
>>74363 To think of it, the supercars are the only post-demonlord characters I remember at all, and guy/diablo. I don't even remember the other primordials, damn. Oh and the time hero, but only because of how extremely fucking convoluted the plot surrounding her gets.
>>74364 I like the dungeon-like plot, they could make like 3-4 different anime by just using a different character as MC and without altering the timeline.
>>74364 >the supercars IMO that was when slime really started to decline, though as characters they were pretty good. From that point on rimuru feels legitimately invincible, and I'm never a fag to call for steaks but by then the story feels basically over.
What's the bump limit here by the way? 500 like on 4?
>>74379 Should be 500 iirc.
So there is a /a/ thread too, seems decently active too. So what do we do now that the 4chan LN general on /jp/ died?
>>74437 you being here should mean you know one answer. i'll keep posting now and then if there's interest.
>>74445 Same, it's far comfier here than on 4chan for some reason, even /jp/ there felt hostile.
>>74437 >So what do we do now that the 4chan LN general on /jp/ died? Actually it doesn't seem like we were the only ones, other /jp/ generals are also slowing down somewhat, with a few being almost completely dead.
>be a tenseier >all your family speaks is rubbish noise >apparently they speak around you in a mix of 3 languages <REEEEEE what you sayyyy >my jap upbringing is preventing me from learning any of that!!!!111!! >actually also be double cursed at birth aside from being a retard >almost get assassinated >alone on the run at age 7, no magic, no language. https://kakuyomu.jp/works/16818023212239228594
>>74484 >tenseier Who the fuck says this instead of "isekaijin".
>>74489 but then i'd have to say he was reincarnated? i think it's a good word if you know EN and JP anyway.
>>74484 Reject humanity, return to grindmonke.
>>74492 Pretty sure people would get the gist if you say "isekaijin from birth".
finished log horizon s1, while the story was alright, i couldn't like the characters... i don't mind lots of characters being presented in a short time frame, but most of them showed up every now and then just to either repeat their gimmicks or to wank the MC. they felt more like npcs than the supposed npcs, they were even holding festivals like good npcs...
Gonna guess the 4netorare stockholm syndrome hit people again lmao.
>>74627 i'm still here, but 1. .se is dead so i have to use tor with another browser 2. few people reply or start discussion
it also means i don't care to keep a tab open bc i need this much useless baggage in ram and on the bar
>4/a/ is completely glassing any and all attempts to even mention japan's new gubmint anti-censorship policies in media. Grim. I knew the moderation there was paid off by kikes and gooks but they could at least try pretend they aren't.
>>74662 Thought it was just my internet being shit.
never went back and never will, but i don't post much here. localjins don't like seasonals unless it's of legal age, and i'm not an avid LN/WN reader to participate in the only "active" thread.
>>74670 /a/ is on another altchan
>>74671 Sorry, Mario, but in 2025 there is no castle with the princess. This is now the /a/ because watashitachi are currently here.
>>74671 name the most active one. i see kissu and smugloli are alive
>>74627 Blame the site's instability problems. .moe has been wonky for a month and .se has been dead for almost as long and only recently came back up. Even the .onion site is having issues now.
>>74690 That too, sometimes even .moe doesn't update for hours on end.
>Cloudflare goes down for a few hours. >Half of the fucking internet collapses. >And the other half collapsed a few weeks ago during the AWS shit. Wasn't the internet created with this kind of shit in mind? No central point of failure?
>>74700 absolutely hilarious. if no delivery server, scrapers tear your server apart. if you get delivery, you share their fate. if everyone gets delivery, providers will (are?) going to start dictating terms for content after tech bros and agencies buy them out.
>>74701 They are already trying to dictate content, not only cloudflare hands over info of piracy sites' hosters and anyone that is "problematic, they already attacked gelbooru a while back for nsfw.
>>74702 >they already attacked gelbooru a while back for nsfw And then certain 'imageboards' decide to use them regardless, which really shows where those websites stand. Assuming someone still didn't get it after account requirement became a thing.
>>74716 >first time i hear about it but consider that i already have an account on most boorus to save favorites and upload. i download much more than save, but still.
>>74717 Account requirement is about halfchan, not boorus. An 'anonymous imageboard' with mandatory accounts. What a joke. And it also uses Cloudflare, of course. In terms of art sites, boorus mostly allow viewing unlogged (for now). But ArtStation, for example, introduced mandatory accounts for viewing not so long ago. They then lifted that restriction from some SFW content, but that created a precedent for any less SFW platform to also introduce mandatory accounts if they are ever pressured by Cloudflare or others. And pressured they will be, unless they switch to someone less netorareed.
>>74719 >Account requirement is about halfchan Did they finally add accounts?

>>74716 Just saw this on 4/v/. The site keeps becoming more of a joke every day.
