Hacka should've just started the story straight up with Aqua and Ruby being born to Ai and none of the reincarnatiin nonsense that drags the story down.

Aka still brought it up again when she went Ai mode after Aqua passed out, then with the stuff about Ai's revived emotions when Akane was figuring out Kamiki and then later when she said she cut her hair because she didn't needed to be Ai anymore, it feels like such a waste for it to never be used in any meaningful way, either by helping Ruby understand Ai or by going full mommy mode to try and get Aqua to stop his plans or trying to bait Kamiki
