If it was a true axe like Ankoku Delta, it would have ended much earlier. It could be that Jump+ authors are mostly paid in royalties, so chanta saw that this property wasn't taking off and financially viable and just decided to cut his losses. Of course, I'm not putting getting axed off the table.
