>>1248 I honestly played the PSP and emulate PSP games more than the Vita. I didn't have many games for the Vita when I had one. Really, my father owned all consoles and handhelds in the house and allowed us to use them. The Vita was not among the handhelds he decided to give me when I moved out. I notice a bunch of things in that 2025 chart aren't exclusives. What the are best games that would actually require a Vita or Vita emulation, that is only available for Vita or a console like PS3/PS4 that is difficult or impossible to emulate? I also notice there's a blank Audio field for 95% if the games in the chart. What include it instead of just a note about which games support multiple language audio? 2025 is almost over, so it's a bit late to go back over the list and add audio langauges for every game.
Are there games in the vita? The only thing that I know about it is that Sony released the console and then it immediately died for some reason.

>>1250 >What the are best games that would actually require a Vita or Vita emulation, that is only available for Vita or a console like PS3/PS4 that is difficult or impossible to emulate? Based on the chart and my own knowledge, the best games still exclusive to the Vita and cannot be played anywhere else are: <Bullet Girls (2) (Third-person shooter) <IA/VT: Colorful (Rhythm) <Kan Colle Kai (SRPG) <Killzone: Mercenary (FPS) <Luminous Arc Infinity (SRPG) <Macross Delta Scramble (Flight combat/Third-person shooter) <Madoka Magicka: The Battle Pentagram (Action?) <Net High (Visual novel) <Omega Labyrinth (Rougelike RPG) <Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines (JRPG) <RecoLove (Dating sim) <Soul Sacrifice Delta (ARPG) <Taiko no Tatsujin: V Version (Rhythm) <The IdolM@ster: Must Songs (Rhythm) <Touch My Katamari (Action?) <Uta Kumi 575 (Rhythm) And not exactly the "greatest hits", but here are other exclusives worth noting: <Dynasty Warriors Next (Hack & Slash) <Infinita Strada (Card Battle Game) <Lumines Electronic Symphony (Rhythm) <Phantasy Star Nova (ARPG) <Reel Fishing: Master's Challenge (Fishing) <Shinobido 2 (Stealth) <Uncharted: Golden Abyss (Third-person shooter) As far as games that have releases elsewhere but are better on the Vita: <Adventures of Mana (Definitive edition) <Ciel Nosurge (Uncensored) <Chaos;Head Noah (Uncensored) <Freedom Wars (The remaster screwed up a lot of things, avoid it entirely and play the original Vita version) <La-Mulana EX (Definitive edition) <Malicious Rebirth (Definitive edition) <Muramasa Rebirth (Definitive edition) <Ninja Gaiden Sigma (2) Plus (The defintive edition of the Sigma versions, still inferior to Black and Vanila II. Essentially similar to "Razor's Edge" as it containes additional content and the AMERICAN Vita versions restored the gore) <PhotoKano Kiss (Definitive edition) <Sayonara Umihara Kawase (Definitive edition, also contains the original SNES game as a bonus) <Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed (I swear to God, this version is the best visually) <Tales of Hearts R (Definitive edition) <The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky trilogy (Definitive edition) <Tokyo Clanpool (Uncensored) And while the following games are not exactly "exclusive", the Vita is the only practical method to play these titles due to delistings or unavailability elsewhere: <Chaos Rings 1-3/Omega (JRPG) <Fragment's Note (Visual Novel) <Musync (Rhythm) <Tokyo Jungle Mobile (Roguelike RPG) Outside of that, everything else either was or "has since" released on another system. But I should still note that your milage will vary. Of the near 50 games I have mentioned, HALF have official English language releases.
>>1258 Trails in the Sky isn't "definitive" on the Vita, the remakes change a lot and not really for the better.
As for another exclusive that wasn't mentioned in the above post: The Caligula Effect, because the remake changes a lot of shit for the worse and can't really be called the same game as a result.
>>1265 >the remakes change a lot and not really for the better. I thought the only changes were the additions of voice acting, replacing the opening FMVs, remastering the textures, and "updating" the combat to reflect the changes made in Zero and Azure. Or are half those changes exactly the problem? >The Caligula Effect That hasn't been exclusive since... >because the remake changes a lot of shit for the worse and can't really be called the same game as a result Okay, that I did not know.
>>1267 >I thought the only changes were the additions of voice acting, replacing the opening FMVs, remastering the textures, and "updating" the combat to reflect the changes made in Zero and Azure. Or are half those changes exactly the problem? Nah, they also replaced the OG's legendary soundtrack and used the Zero/Ao artist for the character art. Plus, the voice acting they added was disappointing imo.
>>1265 A modded Vita is currently the only way to play 3rd on console in English, meaning you can play the first 7 games in order without skipping anything. This won't be an issue if the remakes ever catch up to 3rd though. And if they don't fuck anything up.
>>1283 >and if they don't fuck anything up They already are, they're censoring shit on the newest remake, and NISA is an untrustworthy disaster too.

>>1285 Another win for Vita gamers. It does suck that Falcom is starting to internally censor now. I hope the (((localization))) cancer doesn't spread further.

>>1272 The good thing about the Evo ports is that there's a dlc option to turn the new soundtrack off and also an option to turn voice acting off too. I wish there was an option for the OG portraits, though. And I don't know why they changed the textures, it makes things look more plastic-y. The OG games released on PSP, why couldn't they just upscale that?

Need some help with my Vita TV, hacked of course. Looking at the storage space in Content Manager, I noticed that it said that half of the space was dedicated to "Other", with a whopping 40 GB being for "System Use". I'm currently have a 128 GB thumb drive connected to it. Is there a way to figure out what that 40 GB is dedicated to, and remove it if possible? If not, how do I move all of the contents to a bigger thumb drive? I'm hesitent about messing around too much because I hacked my Vita so long ago, and forgot half of what I did.

>>1430 Huh, didn't know the Vita came in Thin PC form factor as well.
>>1430 Bit of an update. So I decided to go through VitaShell, and manually check every single folder to see what was taking up so much space. Apparently Content Manager is a dick when it comes to correctly displaying which content is used for what. Turns out that it actually is all my games (75 GB of Vita and PSM games), with the DLC (8 GB) and that patches (12 GB). The only other folder taking up a "lot" of space is the "bgdl" folder (Currently downloading a couple games) with 9 GB in use. So I guess that means I need to buy a bigger thumb drive, or delete some games. So in regards to upgrading the size of the thumb drive, would I just follow this guide for formatting the new drive: https://vita.hacks.guide/storage-format-(windows).html And then once that's done, would I just plug both the older and new drive into the computer and copy everything over? I don't want to go through FTP because that would take forever.
>>1436 Looks about right, I recall having to format the card and using the zzblank.img file. >And then once that's done, would I just plug both the older and new drive into the computer and copy everything over? Never upgraded the card, but I would think so. This is assuming you mount both them via VitaShell, or do one transfer at a time from the old to the new.

>Have an autism becase of how much I just fucking hate Western localization shenanigans >Made it my job to go out of my way to specifically get Japanese versions of games >Download the Japanese version of Digimon: Cyber Sluts - Hacker's Memory to my Vita >Fire the game up >Discover the main menu offering the "option" to play the first game >Figure it's probably just some "Previously On..." option, like the digital comic in the PS3/WiiU versions of the Mass Effect sequels, of the catch-up videos seen in Tomb Raider Underworld >No, it's the full fucking game!!! >Wondering what's going on >Decide to look it up online >Turns out localizers managed to strike again https://archive.ph/um6WH <The story-select menu likely defaults to Hacker's Memory because this compilation actually was aimed towards people who played Cyber Sleuth first, at least initially (and the subsequent Switch and PC ports did nothing to change this). This game's history is a bit of a mess, but to break it down..... <Cyber Sleuth releases on the Vita in Japan. <Sony prematurely brushes the Vita off as a dead system in the west, causing Cyber Sleuth to be ported to the PS4 when it got localized (there was still a Vita localization, but it was digital-only). For a time, this PS4 port would be exclusive outside of Japan. <Hacker's Memory is released in Japan for the PS4 and Vita, with Cyber Sleuth included as a compilation. With this, Japan gets the PS4 version of Cyber Sleuth for the first time, and players of the original Vita Cyber Sleuth could use cloud saving to transfer their old data (and the whole compilation comes off being geared towards those veteran players as a result). <Hacker's Memory is released in the west for the PS4 (and digital-only Vita again), but it doesn't have Cyber Sleuth included. This robbed the west of features like being able to transfer Digimon between the two storylines in post-game, and being able to play Cyber Sleuth with the new Digimon and a few quality-of-life updates (though for what it's worth, they at least made it so you could complete the entire medal collection and get all evolution items in Hacker's Memory alone). <Complete Edition gets ported to the Switch worldwide and Steam outside of Japan (I have no clue why, but some Bandai Namco games on Steam, while technically available in the region, lack Japanese language support). This is essentially the compilation version of Hacker's Memory that Japan had on the Vita and PS4 all along. Hell, the Japanese Switch version doesn't it even call it "Complete Edition", since it is just a port (though, I'm guessing the reason the Playstation game was titled "Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory" wasn't so much because one was a side-story to the other, but more because it indicated both games in a collection, another thing that the western Playstation release sorta botched by keeping the title the same). Never trust localized versions, NOT EVEN FUCKING ONCE!!!
>>1887 I played the Switch version, It was honestly so boring and grindy, I couldn't be bothered with Hacker's Memory after beating Cyber Sleuth.
