So Milo has discovered he likes my gun case and thinks my 1911 holster makes for a good pillow, and I got a shotgun for $200 dollars the day before yesterday. Made by High Standard, marked as JC Higgins brand for Sears. Made between 1939 and 1940. I think I got it so cheap because they didn't realize it had a hunting plug in it. When I shot it I could only load 2 shells in the tube. After researching at home, I found out about the plug and removed it, holds 5+1 now. I had planned to shoot the old Mosin as a sort of 1-gun salute for the old board, but I couldn't use it at my usual range as I'd only brought steel core ammo. I found an outdoor place not far from my job, thinking I'll hit it next week. I've got a lot of buckshot, a decent amount of 7.62, a lot of .38 and .357, and some good old nugget food that I've been itching to burn, haven't really been shooting much for a good while. For those who know, no, Milo and Poppy still don't get along. She's kind of a bitch.
