In a world where bullets are rare, fuel is gold, and every scrap counts, what are the most effective weapons for defending (or taking) what’s left? Think Mad Max rules: limited tech, no factories, and everything’s held together with rust and hope.

assuming you have the ability to get sulfur and leave manure fallow for a while, some simple blackpowder firearms are probably your best bet. Sure, for the first few years repeaters with their fancy smokeless will dominate, but they've gotta run out sometime. Meanwhile, if you can get a few blackpowder double acction revolvers, you can have both decent firerate (not great but not taking turns reloading) and a decent ability to get more ammo
