It's fun to say so, but I don't think 4chan is run by the feds, but it is targeted and manipulated. A lot of organic stuff gets through, though.
I'm sympathetic to 4chan because they're working at scale with software that was never meant to handle it. And unlike big tech they don't have a budget or developers to solve their problems.
Unfortunately their half baked solutions include

> add ludicrous time outs
> give janny's free reign to delete whatever
I use a proxy because I'm not connecting to 4chan without Tor.

If I get involved in a thread, it'll be okay for a while. Janny hasn't figured it out.
Suddenly some of my posts start getting deleted. Is it because they're targeting my posts, or has someone else using that IP posted something ban-worthy? I'll never know. And at this point, it's probably not worth trying to figure it out.

4chan is a really important site, and people are not wrong to want to push their agendas there. (I have my own agendas I like to push.)
But it's like of like everyone trying to stuff themselves into the same trailer park. At a certain point a reasonable person has to find something else.
