Has anything happened in the last month since I touched this, any new weapons that isn't tied to a warbond?
almost have enough for a pass, recommended? that portable hellbomb looks funny and the hover jetpack neat
>>1103528 Nope, nothing, nada.
Is this where /hdg/ went?
>>1103708 Not officially until someone posts The List(tm)
>>1103574 The hoverpack is less about mobility and more about avoiding melee or reaching high elevation, compared to the jumppack it's slow as fuck but does reach higher elevation. I recommend it for heavy armor flamethrower enjoyers on bug missions as it isn't impacted by your armor weight and also lets you get in the face of biletitans to kill them in seconds with fire.
>>1103574 The portable hell bomb is pretty great, especially if you're in the mood for a kamikaze charge. It's pretty handy on bot missions with stratagem jammer objectives because you don't even need to disable the jammer. You can just call in a portable hellbomb outside the jammer range and then run right up to it and nuke the fucking thing. Technically you don't have to use it for suicide bombing either. You can just arm it and then drop it (same way you'd drop any other backpack equipment) and then run away but suicide bombing is more fun. The exploding armor sets (basically when you die after a couple seconds your body explodes) in that warbond isn't anything special but it's got potentially for hilarity. >got trampled by a charger >body gets dragged by the charger >explodes and kills the charger
(21.60 KB 1202x1160 1743819803732780.png)

>>1103574 Both are really fun. Against bugs in general and the predator strain in particular, the hoverpack is a great "OH FUCK" button if you picked a high DPS support weapon to clean up whatever's under you Hellbomb is pure maverick shit, you can ambush bot convoys with it, destroy jammers or just use it as a pure anti-inconvenience tool when you decide there are just too many bugs around you
>>1103952 >use it as a pure anti-inconvenience tool when you decide there are just too many bugs around you >got a portable hellbomb >getting swarmed by bugs >machine gun runs dry >arm and drop it >run >50 kills Proudest moment for me though was when I ran up to a cliff overlooking a huge bug nest, armed it, dove off it landing directly in front of a huge bug tunnel entrance just as a bile titan was emerging, and then exploded taking down the tunnel, the bile titan, a couple other nearby entrances, and a few dozen bugs with me
thanks, ill get hellbomb pass then
>>1104431 The hellbomb is just the most fun strategem in the game. Having a mini-nuke in your backpocket is loads of fun, especially if you can convince everyone else to bring one. Makes me wonder if there's any one strategem you can make a whole group bring to autowin every mission, including D10's. I think the obvious one for bots at least is the cuck chair. Maybe napalm barrage for bugs?
>>1104731 Definitely napalm, though you'd end up having issues with heavies so "just" napalm might not work. Rocket sentries can probably do it as well as long as you don't all blindly toss them next to a charger
Anyone know when the next warbond comes out?
>>1105393 early may
any idea if it will be any good? I heard some rumor about a stealth warbond but that just doesn't seem remotely useful in this game.
>>1106354 The stealth gun leaks have been around since near launch, so everyone always thinks the next warbond is gonna be the one with them. Assuming the next one is story relevant like the Urban one was (to coincide with urban maps first releasing), there's a chance we'll see something gloom related, since that seems to be where the story is going (and because I doubt they have finished squids).
>>1106600 So we could get active camo + the guns to compete with predator strain's active camo. I'll save my SC since I'm pretty happy with everything right now. Only really missing Gas and the Urban warbond.
are there enough anons here for a lobby? are we truly dead?
What are the odds we get an update soon? I feel like the current series of MOs is pushing us towards the sudden reappearance of the full Illuminate roster, but I want to fight them already

What's the ideal D10 bugs primary? Too many med pen warriors and alpha anything less than a crossbow is too weak for me, but I don't like being assraped by hunter. Tried cookout but it burns the ammo fast too.
>>1109920 well if you post your usual loadout ill tell you, but there's no fits-all primary and xbow is quite bad vs predditors.
>>1109920 I'm always fancy of the pummeler smg, but that's because I prefer pure mobility and the CC instead of bunkering down and killing shit. Pair with the brap dog and you have a fuck ton of control on any bug that gets within like 20 meters of you.
What's with people using a ton of sentries and just putting them ground level so they just shoot everyone in the back? I see so many people using sentries now
(688.92 KB 677x738 Discord_oMvJ0hOoOJ.png)

>>1107224 According to the "leaked" MO, we're currently in a multiphase MO that could finally kill Meridia Since we're ~20 days away from a new warbond, everything COULD coincide for a warbond + major update. As always, don't get your hopes up, you're dealing with swedes.
>>1109981 Redeemer, Crossbow, and EAT Airburst, Gatling, and Gas strike because fuck bug holes
(21.57 MB 814x370 11.mp4)

Stalwart ASMR >>1109920 For regular jumpers seed and shriekers: incel breaker. For spewers seed and normal gloom: crossbow, purifier, eruptor, jar. For predator strain: pummeler, concussive lib, cookout, blitzer. Fun altenatives that are jack of all trades masters of none: adjudicator, deadeye, reprimand, halt, plasma shotty. These all struggle with AoE clear, but have very strong single target, except the plasma shotty which is a great weapon overall but starts to suck hard the moment you can't create space between you and enemies (hover pack is fun with it because you can just do that on-demand).
>>1110170 you could try lib carbine + verdict. your biggest issue will be green spewers. verdict needs 4-5 headshots to kill them. maybe invest in frag nades for them and holes
>>1110198 How do I know what kind of seed I would get?

>>1111006 Ghosts of Kiev. First time I'd experienced voices unattached to a body too.
>>1111006 Make it a feature. They could have it so if you get your head and/or arms blown off you can still walk around for a couple of seconds before you officially drop dead. Kind of like how in movies characters take a few steps and shit after getting decapitated before collapsing
>>1111792 Also for added shits and giggles have it so if you simply get decapitated while firing your weapon you'll continue to fire your weapon (as long as it's full auto) until your body collapses. Imagine the hilarity of getting mowed down by a stumbling headless teammate with a flamethrower or machinegun.
New player (blog) here. I really like fighting bugs and I got the Steeled Veterans for the incendiary shotgun since I read somewhere it was good against them. Playing with it and it's just...not? It feels like I either do nothing or just spam all my ammo away? And to make it worse, I just don't like how it feels! I'm trying to find a primary that feels good to use and so far I had no luck, it's back to my Arc Thrower + "Guard Dog" Rover till I get enough for another battlepass...
>>1112996 the incel breaker got nerfed >i read somewhere was probably some article made a year ago when the gun was insanely overpowered. Cookout (fire warbond) Halt (truth enforcer) Blitzer (cutting edge) Explosive crossbow (explosive bond) these 4 are "generally" agreed upon to be good picks vs bugs but honestly the basic liberator AR you get at lv1 is one of the best weapons to use on all factions.
took me a while to find this thread. Have we got our buffed mechs now?
Has the game gotten significantly easier recently or did people just acquire competency? I haven't played since the illuminati were new, playing some bugs on d9 and it's honestly almost boring, but I remember this being my sweet spot before. Feels like there's nowhere near enough chaff to mow down, and the only mildly threatening enemy for me is the impaler.
>>1113915 >Has the game gotten significantly easier recently or did people just acquire competency? Both Although the Predator Strain can push your shit on D10 if you're not careful.
>>1113063 >the incel breaker got nerfed It's over. Watching some videos and the Blitzer and the Explosive Crossbow are interesting, so I'll look out for them
>>1113727 yes but only on dss planets

>>1120135 is the autocannon still broken or did they finally fix it
>>1120156 I think they managed to fix that issue, but I think the quasar still auto-charges and I don't know if they fixed the infinite ammo glitch with the sickle/scythe/dagger
>>1110260 Read this: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3214541157 Also make sure to write down or take note of what enemies you are fighting in a particular mission on a particular planet, because that's important information you are gathering. For example in the Gloom, Collect Meteorological Data is a mission with a Special Costellation, meaning Bile Spewers are more likely to spawn. You can figure out by yourself what constellations are possible on a particular planet on a particular mission simply by paying attention.
>The shotgun support weapon you find on the map can't even reload, just like the autocannon can't. I'll bet that shit won't get fixed just because it's a meme gun and people don't even pick that weapon up to try using it for more than 5 seconds.
>>1121388 I have a headcanon theory that they originally meant to have lots of civilian-grade weapons scattered about that you could pick up and use as a joke but with the crunch, they converted some of those into regular weapons. For instance, the constitution.
>>1121426 Constitution was already in HD1 and it's a wink towards early US history, not some idiotic drivel about civ weapons.
>>1121426 At least in the past, and on lower difficulties, it was possible to find alternate primary weapons on points of interest, when first showing a friend of mine the game we found a breaker incendiary. I wish we got more things like that, more spare support weapons or primary weapons, the support weapons that can spawn in cargo crates are really limited.
>>1121510 Didn't play HD1 so I didn't know. Either ways, it's weird that the only weapon we see at some of these civilian sites are that break open shotgun and not liberators or the like. >>1121532 I did not know that. seems strange they wouldn't keep that.
>>1121540 My assumption is because the point of interest we found had no loot spawn other than the breaker incen, it was removed in favor of super credits farming rather than put the dev time in to add it to points of interest that also spawn super credits.
>>1121510 >early US history, Also what the fuck are you dribbling about? When do you think the US was founded? Do you think they had bolt-action rifles during the revolutionary war or something?
>>1121571 >My assumption is because the point of interest we found had no loot spawn other than the breaker incen, it was removed in favor of super credits farming rather than put the dev time in to add it to points of interest that also spawn super credits. mechs pretty much only being worth the slot on DSS bug planets is cringe for sure, but they really do feel nice with the shorter cooldown. it should just be like this by default. still pure ass on bots though. feels like 90% of the time you lose at least one arm immediately.

Had a dream we got aerial based missions. Multiple atolls with death pits between them. Divers started on a safe one with vtols to get airborne. Main objectives were to take out AA towers so a Super Earth bomber could fly over and nuke the base. Could be accomplished by overwhelming firepower on the turrets from outside, or landing and assaulting the base on foot. The bases also had short interior sections to fight through to get to the controls, or find the D10 side objective which was Super Earth confidential documents to be carried out. Terminid mission would have bug holes in conference rooms. I guess it was basically the one Pelican mission from Halo Reach. Aside from >Swedes why wouldn't this work?

That post was obviously talking about something not related to this thread, so the post replying to it is also likely to be about something not related to this thread as well. What about? Well, a slight mistake by the poster has more chances to happen than a big one due to age range and the population using this imageboard, so it's probably a videogame thread in another tab, even if from another board. Which one? That's a Touhou image (with two of the cutest characters to find even outside Touhou), and the only Touhou game to employ those SC initials is LostWord, which uses Seal Crystals as a countable currency. I even think about the phantom girl in the green dress often when I'm doing it, and how much I love her, so a funny and cool OP image of a skelly squatting, even if the meme format is poor, uninspired and unfunny, lured me in, which drove me to comment my current situation in regards to LostWord and my saved SC (Seal Crystals) before the big spending event of the pressing anniversary. @1154185 Sorry but I don't consciously acknowledge (((western))) 2hu memes

>>1205917 If it wasn't overpowered it would be shit. If it wasn't shit it would be overpowered. >medium pen -> MMG or MG turret would be more efficient >heavy pen -> HMG largely superseded unless using backpack >uncontrollable -> nobody uses >controllable -> body uses

>>1206057 I completely disagree. It does not have to he overpowered, or shit. >gatling turret would be more efficient No actually. Hypothetically (lets assume its med pen), the gatling turret would act as a mobile version of that turret. It would be like saying the AC isnt as efficient as the Autocannon turret, which is untrue. >MG would be more efficient In terms of build versatility? Maybie. I assume a gatling turret would have a much higher rpm then a max MG, and can kill more than it can. However, this comes at the cost of it being a backpack strategem. Going back to the AC example, it would be comparing the AC to the AMR. >control That would depend on weather it has High recoil, poor handling, or both. Which can be built for with recoil reduction, or peak physique.
>>1206174 The machinegun turret, not the gatling. The reason to use the MG turret over the portable gatling is that it is more than good enough firepower for its valid targets, acts on its own, will target optical camo enemies, and is on a mere 90 to 77 seconds cooldown. The amount of firepower it would contribute over the course of the mission is competitive. The AC turret is not comparable to the portable AC because its actually of a different use case (dedicated anti-heavy rather than multirole anti-med-heavy).
>>1206284 Alright. Everything you said, a Gatling user would be able to do. On top of providing just as, if not *more* firepower than the Mg turret. It can: move around, use cover, stim, provide suppressive fire, target more than one enemy, use grenades, and fires for as long as the user has bullets. Everything that a typical Helldiver can do, because its a support weapon
>>1206393 >uncontrollable -> nobody uses >controllable -> body uses The MG turret user also happens to be using the recoilless rifle instead.

>citizens all insist on running an extra lap around the block and making out with every voteless they can >takes 10 minutes to herd these retards Nice Epic I like it
I like squids but that's only because I like full automatic loadouts and I think the devs obsession with higher armor ratings on enemies during its dry spell put too much into the game that discourages that style of gameplay.
is there really no patch today?
Also can we appreciate how addictive this game is but how fucking awful it is at the same time? >AWFUL netcode >Buttons randomly getting stuck down >Entire game losing focus, even in full-screen mode, when using two monitors >Inputs toggling and not untoggling, such as aiming Just had a couple games where each one of those happened one after the other. A couple resulting in deaths like throwing a grenade and the window choosing this moment to lose focus. Can we pay for a bugfix warbond? I'd pay for a warbond that's just "Fix the fucking bugs on PC"

>>1213064 Its not that they failed the monthly updates. They were just horriblly buggy, weather they still are remains to be seen
>>1207746 > don't use it on bug because the spin up can kill you especially on pred strain but it's fun to use against squid, That's funny because I feel the opposite way. Well not that it's fun to use on bugs, but that it's viable on bugs but it lacks the stamina to keep up on squids. The horde pressure is just too high on squids and it's way too easy to overheat and kill yourself.
>>1213430 I've used it to great effect on squids. In order to get its full potential, you need: Supply pack, vitality booster, fire resist armor. Supply pack for stims. Vitality booster to reduce damage. And fire resist to...resist the heat damage. Its also recommended to go prone so it doesnt set you on fire as much
>>1213430 >The horde pressure is just too high on squids and it's way too easy to overheat and kill yourself. Nah that's when you go prone and kill swathe of overseer and those pesky hoverpack squids or harvester's joint
>>1213481 >>1213482 I suppose that's what it is, primarily comes down to mentality and tactics. On squids I prioritize run and gun mobility and typically run the jetpack without taking advantage of the prone technique. While on bots I play differently and do take advantage of the prone technique and consequently find it much more effective.

There seems to be a theme of each faction evolving into a stereotype of itself due to Super Earths factions. Including Super Earth itself. The Bugs were a peaceful race until Super Earths aggression caused them to evolve into a mindless horde of monsters that is the Terminids. The Cyborgs were rebels that wanted safe working conditions until constant war with super earth turned them into the heartless Automatons, who ritualistically mutilate civilians/soldiers and grind them into a slurry. The Illuminate legitimately wanted to peacefully uplift Humanity, and coexist. Until...Super Earth accused them on WMDs and invaded. Stealing their technology, and exiling them from the galaxy. We still dont know what they turned into; but they don't have any qualms about lobotomising innocent people and using them as cannon fodder. And finally, Super Earth itself. It was once a legitimate dystopian government. It was belligerent, imperialistic, and paranoid sure. But it was lucid. But after 100 years...the entire system drank the kool laid. Everyone: The Technicians, the democracy officer, Pelican-01, Eagle-01, and the Helldivers themselves 100% believe in the bullshit they're spouting.
>>1218165 >The Illuminate are literally on Super Earths doorstep The faction doesn't work that way anyway. They could literally show up on any planet near super earth and it wouldn't matter because they're not there to control a planet. They just show up and then fuck off in ten hour time intervals.

>scientists have ptsd and need our meth to get through it >as a result we have to start missions with fewer stims >except not only are we starting with fewer stims our maximum carry capacity is also reduced(???) What's the over-under on them doing this intentionally to make the stim supply difference more meaningful vs them just not knowing how to make HSO not affect initial stim supply so they had to reduce the max capacity to get around HSO? Because they're so fucking incompetent that I'm honestly not sure. I mean they already know how to make HSO not affect certain things because they did it to the Ultimatum, so you'd think it's a conscious choice to have our stim capacity be reduced, but at the same time similar things they've done in the past have been so fucked up and incompetently done that it's just not clear if this was intentional or not. Remember when they gave everyone 500KG as a free mission stratagem, except they couldn't figure out how to add charges to a free mission stratagem, so everyone had infinite 500KG uses on a 7s cooldown? Or that time they wanted to punish us for losing Achenar Secundus, so they doubled the FRV's cooldown, except they ended up doubling the cooldown of EVERY stratagem instead. Then they walked back on that and said >umm actually there's a fuel shortage, so FRVs will start with reduced fuel due to rationing But they couldn't figure out how to make FRVs start with less fuel, so they multiplied how fast FRVs burned fuel instead, so every FRV was going through several litres of fuel every few seconds. Not only did they fuck up the FRV's fuel, but the change affected Exosuits too, so Exosuits which were already useless garbage suddenly became EVEN WORSE as they'd run out of fuel after a few minutes, despite Exosuits not even having a visible fuel gauge. Almost no one knew they could even run out of fuel since they previously would never last long enough for them to run out of fuel. They're so fucking bad at doing this kind of dynamic stuff it's hard to figure out whether a change is intentional or some kind of hacky workaround.

(183.53 KB 703x523 failure estimate.png)

Current MO status is fucked and a likely failure: Split objectives don't work with the current galactic modifier system, capturing literally any planet requires more than 50% total population on the target planet. The current split of population is 50/50 between squid missions and turing, because the majority of the playerbase doesn't understand how the game works. This effectively means the 50% of population is doing literally nothing because they make no progress on turing, and the other 50% is doing their objective at half the possible rate, there's no chance of organizing divers to commit to one objective so we're basically cucked by the time it takes the squid objective, (which keep in mind we're doing with 50% expected population) because only then will the 50/50 all commit to turing, current estimates say the squid objective will finish near the end of the MO which means we wont have enough time to take turing. TLDR: we're fucked by the inability to herd cats, the MO is going to be a loss
>>1262018 Did we fail the previous one?
>>1260564 Yeah Nerf Divers is over and Alexus has been banished back to the Swedish games industry where he came from but much of the damage has been done. Honestly the game should have just stayed as Railgun divers.

>>1366204 It's just celebratory bro. The demolitions warbond and the fact that this community is filled with casuals gave everyone the impression that all warbonds have to be filled with OP weapons to "justify" buying them. >>1391693 You can just adapt your own playstyle with the changes that a new battlefield requires and accept that some weapons are viable and others are not in a different environment. You fucking niggers complained so much that now there's barely any difference between factions and everything works, now you need to use rapid and precise bursts to minimize civilian casualties (like real war) and you stomp your foot, unable to use the two atrophied neurons between your ears with a smidge of foresight. Fucking casuals. Niggers. Low iq morons. Die.
>>1393975 All I am asking is that the civilians run away from the danger. I keep getting groups that are already -400 in requisitions when I arrive. What am I supposed to do when there is a giant horde of flesh hulks coming at me and the civvies decides to charge the thing? I dont even understand why they are on the defense missions, There are like 4 tripods assaulting us and some guy goes straight in the middle of them while they are being bombed by 3 different turrets.
>>1393975 While I do find it amusing: THe Sivs and SEAF are fucking retarded.

>>1394399 Well, I just uploaded the wrong file.
>>1393975 I'm going to rapidly and precisely burst in your mom, and then I'm going to continue to be mad online about the npcs who add 0 value to the mission being added for the sole purpose of making it more frustrating. If you wanted them to be added, why not have them spawn in shelters, so when you open one yeah there could be loot, or it could be annoying civilians you now have to avoid harming. Balance out that risk with higher reward and you have a proper strategic reason to not just open them immediately upon finding them.
>>1395731 Money is useless anyway so I don't get why you are bitching, anon
>new warbond is literally just reskinned melee weapons and armor. the armor looks nice and all but man. the only excuse probably is they've been working on the illuminate and super earth but fuck me- They could've at least tried something new or put in something that is underused. People pay for these fucking things. People paid for this game. This is a bad precedent for the game. I hope it doesn't happen again. Genuinely. I do not hope the content gets stale.
>>1387358 they honestly should make a mission to take down the Levthian ships. Half the time I and others just avoid them or rarely, take them down. It's really pointless unless you're on a defense mission. At which point you could just spam eats when it gets nearby with a energy shield (the big hellpod one).
>>1388070 just stop fucking caring. do you really need a few extra rec slips?

I want squid tentacles in my ear canals
>>1396510 >>1396750 They eat bullets dingus Less shots are making it at the enemy >just aim around Sure let me just instruct both of my turrets to do that somehow
>>1398983 you can literally do this with a super destroyer upgrade. you get it and when you point at a target your sentry will prioritize it. lol lmao.
>>1399765 I can't afford that upgrade because these missions don't give shit for samples and I'm too busy irl to grind the game for hundreds and hundreds of those shitass green samples. I'm maxed out on orange and purples, it's those damn greens that are the issue. Common my ass!
>>1400555 >be shit at the game >complain
>they still haven't updated the curvy armor mods I use the most fucking bitches
I heard you cannot tell the squids to fuck off from a city no matter how hard you try which resulted a review dombing on the steampage what's (you)r opinion about this?
>>1415578 >chinks are having a melty thats just another thursday
>>1415578 I started calling that city Super Japan to trigger them more
>>1415578 This is the second time the Swedish have upset the Chinese.
>>1415669 Looking forward to the Sino-Swedish hyperwar.
>>1388070 >The buildings keep eating my damn stratagems too Yes, that is a real issue that should have you firing neurons to decide whether a given stratagem is appropriate to a given map, just like how you had to switch stratagem between factions in HD1 and HD2 pre-buffs. >b-bu-but I want everything to work!!! Just play a lower difficulty, or accept that there will always be sub optimal and you're the one responsible for being sub optimal if you care that much about it. Or just play the game and git gud. Nigger. >>1398983 >They eat bullets dingus The game is easy enough that you can make do even missing that many shots, lmao. Skill issue strikes the community once again
Chinks are killing the reviews over some really retarded shit. Made me chuckle.
>>1416269 CHINA NUMBA WAN
>>1416269 So if I get this right >each city on Super Earth has a health pool >completing a mission increases it by a fraction of a percent, and it slowly ticks down to simulate the invasion >SUPER Shanghai is one of the cities >Chink players successfully manage to swarm Shanghai and hold the city >But every city falling is a scripted event so Shanghai is lost anyway >Cue massive buttmad from the ching chongs <btw nobody else got this butthurt, its just the Chinese >Last city is Stockholm, the home city of the devs Sounds like China got reminded that human swarm tactics aren't that effective and the bugs are pissy about it. >>1415975 >given stratagem is appropriate to a given map That's great and all but most stratagems in general are inconsistently effective. The only stratagems that are gonna work 100% of the time are weapon or sentry stratagems. Which exacerbates the next issue. There's also a point to be made that a long campaign that severely limits what you can do inconsistently as an aspect of poor non-intentional game design is fucking boring. >missing that many shots It's a turret. Are you retarded? There's barely any control on those niggers swinging around (especially when you don't have that upgrade) and blasting a dozen civvies that just rounded a corner being chased by squids. And when they're one of two types of stratagems that work 100% of the time, it means you run into this limitation routinely. Let's see your civvie kill count, nigger. >muh skill issue Just because you can overcome bad game design doesn't mean it isn't bad game design.
>>1416269 From what I understand, other Chinese people find these guys very embarrassing. They're their version of the hyperaggressive gamer stereotype. If I'm not mistaken, they call these people FQ, or fenqing--a clipped portmanteau of fennu qingnian, literally meaning "angry kids".
From briefly reading into it, apparently the Chinese translation of this event is really bad? It's caused a lot of confusion about being able to "retake" cities and that's why so many are mad.
I dont get it how you would even think that reaching 100% would make the city no longer being invaded? logically every single ayy got pushed out of the city and they dont have a foothold but they are still invading it, so the % is still dropping, chinks are just refiling it faster
>>1416397 >Just because you can overcome bad game design doesn't mean it isn't bad game design. In your point, bad game design is having to make a choice and being conscious of your surroundings. Skill issue, nigger. Just like the entire community, you're getting frustrated over meaningless shit that you're responsible for, not the game. Skill issue. >a long campaign that severely limits [...] aspect of poor non-intentional game design is fucking boring. Maybe it's fucking boring now that the community cried and pissed until they ruined the entire game design the game was built on for "muh power fantasy", which you always had but simply had to EARN.
>>1416853 >make a choice and being conscious of your surroundings It's fucked on how the Eagle 1 will strafe. Sometimes you can get a barrage down a road or alley, most of the time it catches on buildings. There is no real strategy here. You place it down and hope for the best. It's supposed to go perpendicular to your throw, but many a time it will act differently. This goes for every non-pod/turret stratagem. >meaningless shit that you're responsible for I'm not responsible for the game deciding to spawn a pack of civvies (yes it will spawn shit near the player) and make it path-find straight into my turret. That's fucking retarded and you know it. There's no amount of being conscious of your surroundings that will help when midway through your turret's duration it, again, drops a SEAF pack on its ass. >ruined the entire game design Ah, you admit it! It IS bad game design! Just in classic retarded nigger fashion, you keep doubling down. Muh skill issue doesn't excuse bad game design and you know it. You wanna see some nig do diff 10 with no damage? He uses the WASP, a tesla tower, a gat turret, and a tank emplacement. Because nothing else is reliable enough to fucking work. And he still extracts with civ deaths. https://inv.nadeko.net/watch?v=TB5dsw-I_8E
>>1417383 It really is bad game design that's just frustrating unfortunately. They could have been clever and had the civilians spawn less if you unlocked bunkers for them to hide in. That would allow the end of the mission to be free of them atleast. Or a easier choice is to just not have civies and limit the SEAF count, and not punishing for their deaths beyond having less of them to help at the end of the mission.
>>1417383 >Ah, you admit it! It IS bad game design! Nigger, either you are illiterate or disingenuous for taking that out of context, as you did not understand that I was talking about how the game design pre buffs was better than the current power fantasy game design, as anything you do just works, even the strategies you complain about. Given your demeanor, I assume you're actually both and can't defend yourself for shit, so you chose to nitpick that as if you could distort what I just said and try to come out on top, which is honestly quite pathetic. I'd bash you more out of boredom but it's clear your brain would rattle untouched with all the extra room to wiggle inside your empty head, so this will be my last answer to you. >It's supposed to go perpendicular to your throw It always does you stupid nigger. Stop blaming the game. >I'm not responsible for the game deciding to spawn a pack of civvies You're responsible for picking a turret and then complaining about it, you illiterate mongrel. >Because nothing else is reliable enough to fucking work. And he still extracts with civ deaths. A lot of stuff is reliable enough to win you the match even if you play sub optimally as shit, but wait, I just realized, you're actually crying from the point of view of inevitably killing civilians? Not from how they eat your bullets and makes "the game harder" somehow? My fucking god, are you autistic? Must suck to be autistic and a retard at the same time, worst of both worlds.
>civvies eat my bullets just aim better?
>>1420538 >It always does you stupid nigger. Stop blaming the game. Retard alert, it doesn't. Airstrike, cluster, napalm, and smoke strike will do this. Strafing run, and 500 kg and Rocket Pods will not. It is just plainly inconsistent, especially with how world geometry and grenade logic can and will fuck it. >You're responsible for picking a turret Again, I am not responsible for RNG fucking me over no matter what I do. The point is that regardless of stratagems, you WILL be fucked. There is no cost benefit analysis. You pick one, maybe two equipment, then every other stratagem you can possibly pick will end up punishing you with civvie death. And if you're unlucky enough for a pack to come in all at once, rarely you'll just fucking die from the game declaring you traitor. >A lot of stuff is reliable enough Considering you spent two posts saying otherwise? Whose being fucking disingenuous here? You spend most of your post screeching about how "hurr durr you gotta pick the situation :^^^)" like the encampments aren't surrounded by buildings niggering a lot of stuff. >Not from how they eat your bullets and makes "the game harder" somehow? It punishes you for playing the fucking game. That's textbook bad game design. Are you illiterate? You don't need to answer, it's pretty clear that you're a nigger who can't comprehend things like what good gameplay is like. And negro, going "muh skill issue", then promptly fixating on how "it was never a power fantasy" when you can call in airstrikes and half of the fucking game is a reference to old action movies is pretty autistic in its own right. It was fucking boring when they nerfed everything into the ground from base and the playercounts show this as a fact. It's not even a difficulty issue when far harder games with higher playercounts like any souls-like exists. You're just autisticly buttmad that you enjoyed a meta midway in the games lifespan that got taken away because it was objectively shit. >that out of context I'll make it clear for you bud, I was making fun of your retarded ass. Glad you've figured it out. Maybe not. With how brain damaged your posts illustrate you are, it might take a couple re-reads for it to settle in. Again, post civvie kill count, turbonigger.
>>1420843 I know you are in too deep in this argument to back out now but do you ever think you are arguing over some retarded pointless shit no one, and I mean, no one gives a shit about
