/sthg/ have you realized that to normalfags who buy Sonic games for their kids, the 2010s were not the dark ages?
>2010 had Colors and Sonic 4, both of which they slurped down in droves
>2011 had Generations which reviewed well
>2012 had All Stars Racing Transformed, which was the best kart racer on the market for anyone who didn't own a Nintendo console
>2013 had the launch of Sonic Dash, Sonic's first big mobile game, which went on to be hugely successful
>2014 had a bad game release on a failed console or something, people would maybe see a glitch or two in a compilation online and forget about it
>2015 had Sonic Dash 2 and was when much of the Sonic Boom TV series aired
>2016 had Boom season 2, which the average person consumed through short clips on social media
>2017 had Mania and Forces, the former reviewing extremely well and the latter selling extremely well. More importantly Forces Speed Battle launched, whch became successful on a scale similar to Dash.
>2018 was pretty barren
>2019 had the hilarious Sonic Movie trailer disaster which may as well have been a publicity stunt
All of the course correction from the "failures" of that era (the only real failure was RoL) were done in response to critics and Sonic fans.
