The 2010s were stuck in the past and now the Sonic series has finally started to progress again. Homing Attack on X is symbolic of all of this, an innovation the world wasn't ready for, that finally came back with Frontiers and Sonic x Shadow Generations
I prefer the homing attack separate when they pair it with either the air dash or a double jump desu.

I was thinking with the talk about Sonic Colors earlier that the bosses of Colors are pretty interesting, they fit in with the theme pretty nicely and I feel that makes them more memorable than bosses in other games. What are some of the bosses in 3D Sonic games after SA2 that you find memorable and why?

That one boss in Advance 2 is memorable for being that one boss in Advance 2. The bosses in 2006 are just as memorable as the Adventure games, mainly for story reasons. Rush Adventure has the Blizzard Peaks boss which plays like a stage (also true for those two bosses in Colors), and the Sky Babylon boss and the final boss which I remember for using a different perspective compared to the rest of the game. I remember the bosses in Forces, so I guess they are memorable, probably because of the story again. And the Titans in Frontiers, those are pretty obvious.

I just remembered there was a ferris wheel boss that I thought was cool and had a fair amount of character and a boss that was a pirate on a ship, but after looking it up it's a lot lamer than I remembered. Also the final boss having some of my favorite Sonic music.

It's been a month. A second round would have been fun, but I guess it would have happened by now if it were easy.

Hopefully Kishimoto actually meant something when he said the game was a "global playtest" and wasn't just making an excuse to justify shitting out a barren skeleton of a game. Hopefully he also learned the correct lessons from Frontiers as well.

I started watching Sonic X and I'm halfway through Season 1. The one issue I'm having is the story doesn't really move anywhere, in most episodes it's based around "what if" situations where everyone just fucks around and occasionally find a chaos emerald. Is this going to get better in other seasons (where Chris is adult for example)?

Not sure what the timeline of the DVD addon was but maybe they could also include SA2 in there and have them interact together somehow. Overall with the console hardware being the same I'm not sure it'd make sense making a whole new game for it, specially since this was just an addon. It may make more sense to add to something already existing. Now this got me thinking, if you could go back to SA1 and add stuff it to make it more complete or to tie it in better with the rest of the series and the story and lore that came later, what would you do?

All of the issues with Prime would have been fixed if near the end there was a plot twist where what we're told is Sonic learns he was actually a shatterverse fragment all along. >>38658 I think the gofast mode is probably okay. I was looking at SASRT and it doesn't seem that much faster, however it does a much better job at conveying speed. Things vibrate, you get more visual cues of the speed, the camera zooms in and out, etc. Also interesting is that SASRT seems to focus a lot more on actually gaining and preserving the speed through drifting and boosters and that's when it goes fast, whereas in Crossworlds it seems they don't have as big of an effect so it's less exciting.

Front-left fights bottom-left, front-right with bottom-right etc. If you looks like you're building up a big attack in the left lane, say with a 12/12 Sonic, you can bait the opponent into Boosting that lane to block, just to have Tails yank him over to the Right lane and swing at the opponent's life total directly. The problem I see with this is that the opponent's blockers now strike your health total, unblocked. So long as Tails, the other card you put down that turn, and whoever Tails summons put the opponent at a lower negative life total than those blockers will to you, it works. If those blockers are too big, it fails.

Maekawa's game is out. Reviews are saying it's an overall improvement over the previous entry, notably character writing and gameplay. The major negative mentioned is that it simplifies some aspects that may upset longtime fans of the franchise. Sounds like he pulled another SA2 . I'm happy Maekawa is succeeding and doing something he enjoys but I can't help but feel salty that he could be doing that with Sonic instead

Why is Crossworlds $70? Is Sega really dumb enough to price out a huge chunk of the casuals who buy their games? Last year they released two 3D games together for $50 and now they're making a racing spinoff the most expensive game in the history of the franchise. Nobody's going to buy offbrand Mario Kart when it's almost as overpriced as the real thing.

Is there a pirate Shadow x Sonic Generations native PC version? I can barely find torrents and what little I find is the switch version running on an emulator. Does it make sense to try to find a native version?
