I stopped using halfchan /k/ some time in the late 2010s when it started to feel too much like reddit with the tripfag circlejerking in the generals and funko pop tier consoomerism, but I was on there since probably 2008 and witnessed the nigger word ban in 2010 and all sorts of shit that's now just a blurred memory. Never used whatever the weapons board was on the original 8chan but this one looks pretty good. It's kind of nostalgic seeing what /k/ used to look like on here.
