I'm tempted to write a version of the Reandown since everyone keeps asking about Brave Group over and over again, but I'll answer properly to the best of my knowledge.
Brave Group is a japanese corporation and one of the original "black corpos" of vtubing. Everyone talks about NijiEN but it's a child compared to Brave.
Brave Group itself is not about vtubing, it's more of a multimedia firm. It owns multiple branches which were originally independent and were then absorbed into the conglomerate.
In fact, the main business of Brave Group proper is to buy smaller realities and profit from their activities; these entities are mostly independent otherwise. Brave does have their own "homegrown" branches, but they are a minority in terms of how many there are.
In Japan Brave subsidiaries are actually quite popular: they own HimeHina fore example, which is one of the biggest vsinger duo in the country (and one of the original chuuba group from way back when Kizuna Ai was the biggest). I do not remember all their properties right now and don't want to spend time searching, look at the Brave Group JP website or something.
In the west Brave is not doing that great: V4Mirai is probably the only real successful branch. Globie was their attempt at entering the european market, but Globie's management sucks (remember, each branch is on its own) and could not really capitalize on it.
The name Brave Group really became famous in the anglosphere after the idol corp fiasco, when Aviel sold the whole company to Brave Group US resulting in half the roster quitting entirely.
idol corp has recently rebranded to ChromaSHIFT, so any mention of "Brave rebranding" is actually about the "idol corp branch".
I think this covers the most important parts; the corporation and the branches are not "drama free", but as far as I know most of it is localized inside each branch. At most, from time to time dubious "black corpo-like mandates" are revealed, but nobody (chans, dramatubers, ...) really talks about them. Maybe "generals" on imageboards? One would have to follow all of them to know.
