How did you get those Emojis or whatever they are for the Board Message (next to each board friend)
>>69704 I just entered/pasted them directly into the Board Message entry box. you can google a list of emojis and copy them. 😜
test :D
>>69711 hmm?
>>69712 okay nice, maybe the desu one just doesnt work
>>69713 oh nope, maybe it was just a one-time error then. nice
>>69708 Neato. Thanks
>>69747 What is she going to do with that....?
How many people are here? How many people are on 4chan? How did this change before and after the hack? Anynone got a place where I can look for this information?
>>69771 You can see individual UIDs at the bottom of pages, for overall IPs I don't know. There's maybe a couple dozen or so people on this board RN, 4chan is in the hundreds. 4chan after the hack has been paranoid about other boards.
TL;DR: One series can have more than one thread. I got a report about this. As of now, I think it should be fine to have, say, a One Piece thread up, and another thread up discussing Luffy specifically, or a birthday thread for a character, etc. Eventually I could choose to merge the "branch thread" into the "main thread", but I think the downsides of reducing the variety of thread starters to just "subject: the series" outweigh the positives of splitting a bit of activity between multiple threads.
>>69997 Useful for seasonal series or manga dumps.
This isn't really thread worthy, but I would like some help trying to find an anime scene. It was of a busty red(?) haired girl laying down on something at night, she was nude but the scene didn't show any nipples. Thanks.
>>70863 That sounds like 10 years old but idk, this is the most useful site to (brute force) find the anime with vague info https://www.animecharactersdatabase.com/ux_search.php
>>70866 Thanks Anon!
>>69559 /b/ BO here, desu. Added /a/ to my message board, desu. Add /b/ back, desu.
>>71009 U-um, i am very late desuuu.... but I will do that now!
I've been away since halfchan returned (wasn't lurking there either). Anything big happened in the meantime?
>>71776 Posting has ebbed and flowed, some new board friends like >>>/rwby/ Otherwise it's fairly normal.
Something I never quite understood is, how do Japanese otaku manage to have enough money and free time for their interests while also working? A job takes up most if not all the time of the day and when you get home, you're so tired that you don't feel like doing anything anymore.
>>71890 Many of them are NEETs though?
>>69559 how can a board like /a/ slide half way down the top boards?
>>71926 So you think they are all self employed and work from home? Because if they aren't then they may have more free time but lack the money to sustain their hobby.
>>71928 Because 4chin. Even though it's a shithole, people stick to what they know. To be fair 4/a/ is one of the less-shitty boards on there. /co/ moderation and posters alike are 10x worse. >>71941 Most of their "work" is either from home on the computer, or in a cubicle at an office where they can easily flit from imageboards and anime-sites and their work, or even do it simultaneously.
>>71928 Modern /a/ is a normalfag nest, and in the unfortunate middle point where there's no real niche. >Normalniggers went back to 4chan/twitter. >More niche people are sticking to /gacha/, /vyt/ and /jp/. It doesn't help most anime and manga have been largely LN/WN/VN adaptations for almost 2 decades now with even original anime dying out thanks to trigger sticking to adaptations these days as well. The type of person that would actually stick around on altchans while being into otaku culture is also the type of person to just skip the middleman and read the original versions to not wait for a season 2 for a literal decade if not longer.

/b/ is looking for janitors. If anyone here wants to become a hotpocket, apply here: >>>/site/15853
Dunno if you need these but here's some old /a/ banners I made a long while back
>>71975 4chan needs to die for good, it glows. If fucking Crunchyroll mods amke up the majority of janitors and they're now actively preventing discussion on piracy sites on /a/ the site is a fucking liability, if not outright danger, to the anime scene. Alternatively hiromoot gets the boot SOMEHOW and user find some other way (IIRC that happened with it's japanese counterpart), but I doubt this will help with modern anime "fandom". One of the most striking things for me during the hack was how great this particular site was. I mostly stopped posting, but it was so fun here that I participated again. The mood is just so different with all the tourists and hoodweebs that only watch Marvel-tier shounenshit and complain about anything else not being here.
>>72854 Honestly, I felt really down when it came back.
>>72854 >4chan needs to die for good, it glows. Oh absolutely. Just today the isekai general on 4chan got constant bans and timeouts for seemingly no reason while there was a wave of kr kuso shilling. >If fucking Crunchyroll mods amke up the majority of janitors and they're now actively preventing discussion on piracy sites on /a/ the site is a fucking liability, if not outright danger, to the anime scene. At least it seems 4/a/ is fucking dying, TIL the most active threads there are the isekai general and everything else is fairly dead. And even that general itself has been dying for months now with small shitposting activity here and there. IMO same, feels nice to be able to post without being pissed off at random ass ironic weebs being fucking niggers for once. That and basically no gook spam.
>>72854 Hahaha holy shit. It's getting real bad now. https://desuarchive.org/a/thread/282431385/
Just for archival purposes, this was the current state of the isekai general when this shit happened. As if the gookniggers couldn't make it any more obvious. https://desuarchive.org/a/thread/282413711/#282431798
