From what I remember off the top of my head, an okay season overall. The Apple Family Reunion was my favorite. <Season 5 Was such dog shit, I tapped out after the finale. Starts off kinda promising, with a mildly interesting villain, who proceeds to fuck off until the finale. Practically the whole season is memebaiting and missed opportunities. There's a 200th episode special starring background characters that's nonstop brony circlejerk. I was into that kind of fanon stuff, and I still fucking hated it. The CMC get their cutie marks in a really contrived way, and instead of giving them the actual talents that were hinted at in Season 1, they're just Cutie Mark Crusaders Forever now. Worst of all is how fugly their actual cutie marks ended up being: matching coat-of-arms emblems, using all 3 of the CMC's mane colors for the color scheme, without realizing how badly it'd clash with their individual coat colors. And the finale was one big timetraveling "what-if" of ideas lifted from fanfics, like the writers teasing "look at all this stuff you could have if we weren't such lazy cunts who can't deviate from formula." And it ends with Twilight befriending an inflamed asshole who repeatedly tried to destroy Equestria for the flimsiest of reasons, because "that could've been me if I went full-nofriends." While the real reason is that the writers realized it was a mistake to have Twilight realize her dream before the series was anywhere near over, and they needed a blank slate unicorn for further friendship lessons. I watched a couple episodes from later seasons, because anons at the time said they were good eps and I wanted to believe them, but they were mediocre at best.
