Post across the entire board Activity creates activity. Use threads you like, make new ones if topics don't exist. Easy examples are Drawthreads and Friday Night threads, go request or draw something right now. 2. Recruit and recover lost or potential anons Use this site's OC and features to entice anons if necessary when recruiting, just inform that we are alive. Here's some sites and links with at least some confirmed anons that can be recruited again: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/8chotwheels https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SSAVCH https://steamcommunity.com/groups/video_games https://steamcommunity.com/groups/8chmohun https://steamcommunity.com/groups/8chan_monster https://steamcommunity.com/groups/GoodLuckEbolaChan

Make your own OC/Memes/Content Doesn't matter what it is even if its just simple edits or full-on drawings or webms, just make it and have fun. Ask in thread for software recs if necessary. 4. Encourage or create fun events, activities, projects, etc. Think things like 8chanmania, weekly streams, re-translation projects, demo days, or zzz's gaming magazine for example. If you want to do something, try making or reviving it, it can't hurt and these things are great for the board. 5. Use other boards All it takes for a board to grow is at least 2 dedicated anons using it. Don't be afraid to make a post, check places periodically, shill, or what have you. Don't force discussions to boards, just encourage the usage of them. ONGOING TASKS: A. Everything involving bayo 3 is just a total shitshow
>>240806 Better than the last two thread themes no-dubs-man. So when is Mark buying this action game-of-the-year? At least Kamiya and co. didn't fully commit to the troonpill like Daisuke Ishiwatari did, witch time'd some eternal anglo cunt, and made a few journalists and yurifags cry. So just enjoy Bayonetta getting railed and having a punk tomboy daughter with naive angel mode off.

>>720666 Next Awful Hospital chapter when? >>720456 I've been burned so many times by so many games, communities and companies that I really don't care that much about vidya any longer, I mostly just pirate whatever seems kinda fun, play it to its end credits and wait for another game next month. It's hard to give a shit about anything at all when products are either A) bad on some fundamental level (who the fuck decided to launch Jojo ASB R with that shit of an online mode) or B) poz'd for the sake of killing off the older generation of fans in favor of the funko-pop addled ones. So far the only game that hasn't had this happen to it is the Advance Wars series because fans literally ripped it out of Nu-tendo's grip and made an online version, knowing full well they might be obliterated by the nip lawyers also made them much less drama prone and with plenty of fall back options. Tiny Wars too if you like Days of Ruin better. >>720428 M O R T I S
>>720359 CIA is apparently in hot waters after having predicted a coup in Russia for the x-th time. >>720552 >so unless you have a large group of friends who will make this THE GAME you play for years to come, just forget about fighting games. Half the magic of these games was showing up at places and being part of the spectacle, now that is gone, everything is fake and literally gay. Agreed. Nowadays it's either Flavor of the Month or a game with a toxic fanbase. There's a reason why so many people stick with playing old CnC and TF2 over switching to more modern shit, and it's not because of the better gameplay.
>>240815 I'm pretty sure she was based on him. Funny how Kamiya, the original creator of DMC, ended up copying Itsuno.

>>240816 >(who the fuck decided to launch Jojo ASB R with that shit of an online mode) It's not as though Namco are the only offenders for that. Nips are complacent and don't take online play seriously be it for fighters or just fucking Steam games -- if it weren't for Corona-chan scamdemic lockdowns, they would've never accepted Rollback netcode.

From that article posted last thread: https://archive.ph/TO5xg https://archive.ph/uDGPq >“When the gamer identity is core to who you are as a person, that seems to reflect what we call toxic gamer culture, tends to reflect more exclusion than inclusion — so things like racism and sexism and misogyny,” research director Dr. Rachel Kowert told Vice Media. >In 2019, it was revealed by the Anti-Defamation League that one in ten young gamers between the ages of 13-17 had been exposed to white supremacist ideology. According to ADL research, far-right extremists use gaming communities as a hunting ground. Communities such as Steam and Discord are allegedly popular with white supremacists. LOL ADL >“Gamer communities represent a double-edged sword,” the study noted. “On the one hand, they may provide a sense of connection and purpose for individuals who suffer from loneliness and insecurity. On the other hand, they may expose gamers to hateful speech and social toxicity that can increase their susceptibility to extremist propaganda.” >The study found that players of “Call of Duty” were more likely to be racist and misogynistic than those who played “Minecraft”. Call of Duty is more competitive than Minecraft. Of course more naughty words are gonna get spoken.
>>240830 People really need to redefine racism since just because I call people niggers doesn't mean I hate them. I just think they're a bunch of lazy ass dumb niggers

>>720214 Last time I've been there it seemed like the demographic housed batshit insane women that think men are some type of bizarre monstrosities incapable of feeling human emotions, lack empathy or tools to be used and disposed of whenever convenient. An unholy love child of /r9k/ & twitter. >>240816 Someday anon, someday. Perhaps sooner then we expect.
>>720214 Feminism, like every -ism derived from Marxism, is not about making sense. Do not try to make any sense of what any feminist says, especially since they're women. Look for actions, motives and short-term rewards. It's about controlling you and getting what they want. In this case, if Bayonetta is sexy, she's drawing attention from males. For women, this detracts male attention from themselves. They also think that males operate like them, so when a male attains a certain standard, they think he can never go below it. In this case, if males see Bayonetta, they think they won't be satisfied by any other woman that doesn't look like Bayonetta. So their only percieved option (or the easiest one) is to nag you until you stop looking at Bayonetta, ban her, or unsex her.
>>240833 >viola cant barely get any less flat even fused absolutely state of women not created with a present father
>>240826 That video is so fucking stupid that it just has to be a hoax of some kind, I just refuse to believe this is real.
>>240827 Beautiful >>240822 What puzzles me is, the original All Star Battle release on PS3 was so shit that Bamco had to work for an entire year to bring the game up to speed, not including shitty DLCs. They knew something like that was bound to happen from experience, yet did nothing to fix it. >>240826 Don't forget that Musk hates remote work. Him acquiring Twitter will be the most chaotic neutral move of the year. Speaking of, I hope he won't do anything stupid to the Japanese side of Twitter, which is honestly the only good part about that site.
>>240826 Dilbert was right, work is only meeting and execs trying to force you to live in the company. >>240838 I just hope we get back on track with finding Fern's baby DOG and Dr. Phage gets some more screen time.
>>240826 They deserve to get all fired lmao, "working"
>>240827 Amazing work.
>>240839 >Feminism, like every -ism derived from Marxism, is not about making sense. This is a really silly take, congratulation on getting indoctrinated by the modern radical left into thinking they're related in any way. The original modern feminists were Christian fundamentalists who opposed the debauchery of the Bohemian lifestyle of the 1910s and 1920s. The true left wing, progressives of the time were mostly conscripted peasants and intellectuals, also certain branches of the army (the younger one at least) who wanted sweeping social reforms to ensure that as they came back from WWI they'd be granted gibs for life instead of ending up unemployed and being forced to accept pittance from female-lead and not government sponsored, I should add charitable institutions. Intellectuals and the Soviets in the 50s and 60s realized that they could infiltrate feminist groups to convince their leaders that the only way to fight back against supposed patriarchal oppression was to join up with minority and radical groups in their battle against the then conservative governments. Granted, companies were in cahoots with said intellectuals because they originally figured they could devalue the price on most jobs by simply adding more and more immigrants and women to the workplace (compare the standards of living throughout the 21st century as more people join any workplace) and now they're getting bit in their butt for all the subversion they performed. I think I read on 8chan Prime a very interesting post about how modern feminism is basically a Soviet weapon "on the loose" as they didn't survive long enough to activate it in ways that would benefited them. Basically feminism up until the 50s was meant to give women an equal status in society by giving them a stake in said society, any other battle they fought afterwards was done just to benefit companies and radicals, and now radicals are in control of a rogue ideology that mismanages women's rights to force them to work longer hours, mate much later in their life or not mate at all and creates outcasts in women who disagree with that vision.
>>240846 >and now radicals are in control of a rogue ideology that mismanages women's rights to force them to work longer hours, mate much later in their life or not mate at all and creates outcasts in women who disagree with that vision. Thats just a fraction of what they do,they weaponize the entirety of it to push their own narratives, but thats not all, they use of the fact that most don't see it this way, the Hand of Ignorance brainwashes companies from small to big size to think they should accept it and follow the trend, effectively fucking with them on long term and allowing even further infiltration and eventually absorption of them
>>240847 They don't even pretend to fight battles for women. They could be talking about how shit African negresses have it what with all the genital mutilation and forced marriages, or they could push for more effective policies in regards to women's health, like removing taxes from products designed for their periods or even guarantees on job security once a woman goes into labor. Instead they looked at the Iranian protests and concluded that trimming a bit of their hair would show enough support.
>>240846 I was referring to feminism in our current time, since that's what's relevant. About feminism being a soviet weapon, that was the default modus operandi of KGB operations in foreign countries. Yuri Bezmenov said that they would target specifically any groups that were discontent with the status quo, stuff their brains with communist propaganda to make useful idiots that would be easy pickings after the revolution disposed of the enemy country defenses.
>>240848 But they unironically believe that they do,thats why i like to think there is a "Invisible Hand of Ignorance" where society is pushed through trends and most get brainwashed into certain beliefs without questioning or even reflecting if what they are doing is truly good, the further these beliefs and trends uses of radicalization of "fightning for the greater good", while also pushing of ideas that make the individuals think they are "special" "different" and creating even more of narcissist people that will absolutely hate truths and objectivity because it will hurt them.
>>240832 Careful what you wish for anon; they might use precious lolis as brand advertisement.

>>240830 >“When the gamer identity is core to who you are as a person, that seems to reflect what we call toxic gamer culture, tends to reflect more exclusion than inclusion — so things like racism and sexism and misogyny,” research director Dr. Rachel Kowert told Vice Media. Gamer culture, at least pre-2010s, was, paradoxically, inclusive through exclusion. Like with the Internet as a whole back then, people being dicks to each other was more or less the MO, but at the end of the day, the people that were "in" on it realized that it was generally playful banter. Ultimately, being able to take the piss out of each other was their form of bonding. It wasn't till idpol bullshit where people started taking legitimate offense to this, and started to police it as a result. Ironically, this helped bolster extremism more than anything. Not having that outlet, as it turns out, has less-than-ideal results. >“Gamer communities represent a double-edged sword,” the study noted. “On the one hand, they may provide a sense of connection and purpose for individuals who suffer from loneliness and insecurity. On the other hand, they may expose gamers to hateful speech and social toxicity that can increase their susceptibility to extremist propaganda.” While technically correct, the push towards more extremist philosophies goes both ways. Of course, this article wouldn't dare mention the other half of it, the part with people going hardcore troon/anti-White/anti-Male, etc.
>>240861 >inclusive through exclusion Natural male bonding >people started taking legitimate offense to this, and started to police it as a result Feminine behavior, started in 2007 when the net wasn't a boys club anymore

>>240867 >Normalfags pov of over moderation comes from Jewgle and places like Tumblr/Twitter which still have a shit ton more moderation then 4chan comparitivily Lol no they don't. Cuckchan bans you for saying nigger outside of /b/. It's one of the most overly moderated sites on the internet. You can get away with way more shit on mainstream sites because you can be tucked away in your niche corner of those sites. On cuckchan everything is visible to everyone and there is no real partitioning. So you call someone a nigger on /v/ and you catch a ban.
>>240865 Your kidding yourself is you actually believe modern 8chan has anything to do with freespeach these days. This isn't a freespeach platform it's a hurd mental platform. No one in their right mind would call places like the dailystormer a freespeach platform at most your like them in that you exorcise freespeach not uphold it to the letter. >>240868 >Lol no they don't. Cuckchan bans you for saying nigger outside of /b twitter just straight up bans you for saying nigger. also the amount of times 4chan actually bans someone for saying nigger is very low, they will do it eventually but i see faggots saying it all the time anyway. The way imageboards work naturally conteract alot of censorship simply with how fast posts can be made and seen. other platforms if you make a post it doesn't get immediently seen and often theres some bs algorythem bullshit behind it which could just straight up shadowban you since it saw a word on it's wordfilter. >>240923 I'm interested in his focus on advertising and even uses the term "advertising platform". One thing I've been thinking about for a while is how Google and Facebook currently have a near monopoly on Internet advertising which gives them significant control over the movement of money on the Internet. Most sites get their funding through advertising, so banning a site from Adsense can be devastating. What if Elon plans to build Twitter into more than just a social media site, but uses it as a launch point for a new ecosystem of tech services outside the other big names? A Non-Google advertising platform that can be used in place of adsense, maybe even a billing service to compete with the likes of Paypal. After all, Elon cofounded Paypal over twenty years ago, selling it was how he made his first billion. There's a lot of potential here, I'm cautiously hopeful that he can pull it off.
>>240925 >guy left on display in a university >what about him Look closer, unless you're blind Utilitarianism is the father of postmodernism and by extension collectivism (the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, actions should be taken for the benefit of the collective), and created many concepts for welfarism and advocated heavily for women's rights, decriminalizing homosexuality, being an advocate for extreme hedonism, inventing social credit, and other societally destructive things, being a very influential figure Marx and Engels looked to him for inspiration in their earlier days and basically refined and adjusted his shit for themselves

>>240918 >The Woman's Christian Temperance Union was started in the 1870s. https://infogalactic.com/info/Woman%27s_Christian_Temperance_Union <In the United States during the temperance movement, the WCTU was divided along ideological lines. The first president of the organization, Annie Wittenmyer, believed in the singleness of purpose of the organization—that is, that it should not put efforts into woman suffrage, prohibition, etc. This wing of the WCTU therefore was more concerned with how morality played a role during the temperance movement. With that in mind, it sought to save those whom they believed to be of lower moral standing. For them, the alcohol problem was one of moral nature and was not caused by the institutions that facilitated access to alcohol. <The second president of the WCTU, Frances Willard, demonstrated a sharp distinction from Wittenmyer in how she felt the WCTU should be involved in the temperance movement. As president between 1879 and 1898, Willard had a much broader interpretation of the social problems at hand. She believed in "a living wage; in an eight-hour day; in courts of conciliation and arbitration; in justice as opposed to greed in gain; in Peace on Earth and Good-Will to Men." This division illustrated two of the ideologies present in the organization at the time, conservatism and progressivism. As a result, the Eastern Wing of the WCTU supported Wittenmyer and the Western Wing had a tendency to support the more progressive Willard view. And, want to know the funny thing about Willard, you know the one pushing for Woman's Suffrage: https://archive.ph/gSIIK <In 1893 she proclaimed herself a Christian Socialist. https://archive.ph/xziTQ <Drawn into a movement called Christian socialism, Willard became a close colleague of Episcopal priest W. D. P. Bliss and an associate editor of his Christian socialist newspaper, The Dawn. Showing the influence of the British social critic John Ruskin, Willard’s growing stress on Christian socialism put her at odds with various factions in the Woman’s Christian Temperance Union (WCTU). The chapter highlights the culmination of her feud with J. Ellen Foster over Willard’s endorsement of the Prohibition Party. This feud led Foster in 1889 to create a new woman’s temperance organization, the Nonpartisan WCTU. So, yes, it's always tied to Socialism!

>>240933 Christian Socialism is a different concept from what the commies wanted, because it tried to conciliate welfare spending and pacifism in opposition to the more hawkish sentiment of the late 19th and early 20th century. Granted, yes, they're technically both tied to Socialism, but their ties are about the same as Jesus is to the Jewish cult. >>240931 That's an interesting theory and I see your point, but the commie view evolved to be completely different. Commies re-criminalized homosexuality - which the first socialist government allowed - and their welfare existed only so far as the single person was useful to the continuation of the state and communist junta. Plus, as you pointed out in your picture, seems to me that this chap had more of an interest in the whole utopia part, with free press and security through surveillance as the ultimate goal, whereas the commies just kept socializing the people (as in turning the private sector into the public sector) to justify the existence of the public sector rather than for security purposes. I wouldn't even call either oldschool nor modern commies "Utilitarian" since their view requires all the people to form an amorphous mass of human-units, rather than just selecting the most efficient person to work the most efficient job (which would require a system of rewards that the communist worldview cannot hope to achieve). And now that I've said "amorphous mass of human-units" I just got reminded of this game.

Their "utopia" is Communism, and Socialism is the process by which they achieve it. This isn't some secret or theory, G. Edward Griffin was reading literal Socialist literature to the public, and this was explicitly explained: https://rumble.com/vc4pxn-g-edward-griffin-more-deadly-than-war-the-communist-revolution-in-america.html >with free press and security through surveillance as the ultimate goal, whereas the commies just kept socializing the people (as in turning the private sector into the public sector) to justify the existence of the public sector rather than for security purposes That's because Socialists understand that achieving their "utopian-state" requires different tactics depending upon the sector that they want infest, occupy, and overthrow.
>>240935 >commie view evolved to be completely different first, you were talking about socialism to begin with, not communism the people who enacted communism vs theories of communism and socialism are 2 different things, academic communists or communists here are not the same as Stalin for example, and the academics would ironically be some of the first against the wall in a communist regime or revolution the people who enacted communism were far more practical than the academic theorists, which is why communism stayed alive for a lot longer, they were aware that certain social programs and policies would undermine their grip and control over people That doesn't not make it part of the leftist axis that contributes to the overall structures of these systems, communism was enacted differently in different parts of the world, just because they didn't tolerate homosexuals because of the leader's problems either with them as a matter of disgust, or as a matter of undermining their state, doesn't mean that communism doesn't generally extol such virtues, at least for a certain stage until people actually seize power and implement things as they see fit Communism is basically socialism without the mask of prettiness and feel-good bullshit >utopia No, that's a dystopia that he paints as a utopia, but yeah, theorists are all about pie in the sky bullshit compared to the cold realities of their ugly theories in action. Welfare is an early form of wealth redistribution, not as extreme as what happens in communism with full-on asset seizure and state control, but no shit its not, socialism is basically an earlier, primitive form of communism >I wouldn't even call either oldschool nor modern commies "Utilitarian" since their view requires all the people to form an amorphous mass of human-units, rather than just selecting the most efficient person to work the most efficient job (which would require a system of rewards that the communist worldview cannot hope to achieve). what? I'm saying that their beliefs and what they actually do are different because of the reality of individuals, you are correct though, that's what happens in communism and socialism, there is little to no meritocracy, its all nepotism and corruption, but that doesn't mean the beliefs aren't important. Bentham's social credit is quite literally similar to what China uses, there is nothing there about security or anything as a pretext, dunno what you're on about there. >free press no, he might call it as such, but what he really wants is are essentially agents who act as "tattletales", based on that social credit system. These socialist types are massively self-interested, even the theorists are still, ironically, likely massive liars, since truth doesn't matter in a utlitarian framework. Never take anything at face value from a socialist or communist, regardless of what they either believe or claim to believe.
>>240931 Utilitarianism says the most moral action is the one that leads to the greatest happiness/preference-satisfaction/etc. (depending on variant) for the greatest number. Do you think communism is the economic system that leads to the most happiness? Is it communism that results in the fewest mass-suffering/death events like famines? Is it communism that lets people best fulfill their preferences? Is it communism that creates the most beneficial technological innovation for future generations? If not then why portay it as an implication of utilitarianism? Communists might have used it as justification but so have plenty of anti-communists. Anyone saying stuff like "it might seem unfair that the CEO makes billions of dollars while you make minimum wage, but having incentives like that actually leads to much more prosperity overall while communism leads to disaster" is making a consequentialist/utilitarian argument. If anything communists, and to an even greater extent SJWs, tend to be quite averse to utilitarian arguments nowadays. Communists tend to be much more focused on complaining about supposed economic unfairness or the evil of the rich. Occasionally they might claim their system would lead everyone to be better off, but everyone says that, and it's less convincing after the history of communist governments. Meanwhile SJWs tend to be the polar opposite of coldly doing the calculations and then sacrificing the few for the many, like BLM claiming that a handful of black people per year being wrongly shot is so important that it warrants policing pullbacks resulting in thousands of additional murders per year.

Is it communism that results in the fewest mass-suffering/death events like famines? Is it communism that lets people best fulfill their preferences? Is it communism that creates the most beneficial technological innovation for future generations? If not then why portay it as an implication of utilitarianism? Because you fail to understand what these nuts believe! Think of it like the Vulcan phrase from Star Trek, "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few." They don't care about a "couple million" of individuals suffering because they're goal is the long game of "saving" everyone. And, in the process of "saving" the entirety of human kind, a couple of sacrifices are excused because it helps to make the process "better" for everyone else. Not to mention the fact that ALL' Leftists buy into a Hinduistic form of spirituality believing that people can somehow reincarnate because man, according to Leftist, is just a shard of a sleeping God that has yet to awaken to the fact that he is God. The reason you don't understand this is because you're STILL thinking of these people as a political ideology or an economic theory, meanwhile they're everything BUT. You have to stop looking at it from the political aspect, and start looking at it from the religious aspect.

Utilitarianism is a completely leftist belief system that led to communism. You haven't looked towards the roots of communism at all >economic unfairness You realize where wealth redistribution comes from, right? Bravo, you've realized the reality of individuals and the things they cannot bring themselves to throw away. Those types of communists, as I said if you bothered to read my posts, are not the same as people like Stalin. Those are the people who would be up against the wall once communists take power, but in the interim, they are used to destabilize society and develop sympathies and brainwashing towards communist and socialist ideology in the population. You also fail to realize that welfare is in direct contradiction with your own statement, yet was made by utilitarians and consequentialists, it really makes you think eh? You are hung up on the words without understanding reality and actually understanding what's been going on. Communism didn't come out of nowhere randomly.
>>720996 >Huh? See: https://yewtu.be/watch?v=fqj-MKG9SnU And: https://infogalactic.com/info/Georg_Wilhelm_Friedrich_Hegel Hegel is the guy who "Created" the cult that we currently understand as "The Left". The short version of his ideology is that each human exists as a shard of God. And, what exists as the devil is civilization and institutions. So, for the past 250 years, the "goal" of the "Left" has been to destroy civilization and institutions, as civilization and institutions (And, "whiteness" by extension) is all evil, for the purposes of humanity coming together and all universally awaken to our collective Godhood as one united Earth that is God. And, that in the process of achieving this, every terrible thing that happens to man is justified because we'll all be reincarnated since we are just a shard of a sleeping eternal God, that the purpose of history is to use and then proceed to discard and reabsorb all influential persons, and that going through the societal process of mixing together anything and everything that anyone ever thought or experienced will create a solution that is the perfect society by which the sleeping shards of God that man is finally comes together and becomes perfect. Reading this as is, itself, is undoubtedly looney to hear, which is why I keep linking the videos, because they go step by step explaining how this two and a half century monstrosity has come into existence.
>>240944 >You are hung up on the words without understanding reality and actually understanding what's been going on. Hegel also influenced Marxism, I won't say he created the left or all his ideas were adopted, but he was an important figure in the development of leftism. It might be hard for you to understand that there are many different kinds of subgroups under the broad umbrella of leftism itself, many leftists are atheists for example, but that doesn't make the spiritualist hippies not leftists.

Yes. When the anti-communist says "look at how bad the consequences of communism are", that is looking to the ends. When the communist says "it's unfair that the rich have so much money, especially when some people are poor and homeless" that's looking at some idea of "fairness" rather than the overall consequences of each economic system. >You just saw the word "happiness" and thought "isn't this the perfect belief system, communism sucks so why are you saying that utilitarianism is related to communism?" I actually personally favor Average Preference Utilitarianism over hedonic utilitarianism. >You also fail to realize that welfare is in direct contradiction with your own statement, yet was made by utilitarians and consequentialists, it really makes you think eh? Welfare isn't synonymous with communism. Utilitarians who support welfare think that, unlike communism, it benefits those who need it at relatively small cost to everyone else. Having some form of welfare is very popular, even on the right, so if you think welfare is bad you should probably focus on discrediting that rather than trying to discredit Bentham by association.
>>240953 >that's looking at some idea of "fairness" rather than the overall consequences of each economic system. I remember my investment platform has some category of ETFs called "outcome oriented" or something. It's not about equal opportunities but equal outcomes.
>>240953 You fail to understand, you are arguing against utilitarianism itself when you point to the failed ends of a utilitarian, a utilitarian would never accept that because it would mean discarding utilitarianism itself.
>>240953 >When the communist says "it's unfair that the rich have so much money, especially when some people are poor and homeless" that's looking at some idea of "fairness" rather than the overall consequences of each economic system. Again, you misunderstand them. Marx and his follows don't look at the nature of the "rich" and the "poor" as a matter of "Fairness". They look at it as a matter of "freedom". That "capitalism" is an "unfree society" because it demands that people constantly produce funds to pursue their ventures. Look at the Left today demanding the "freedom" to not get shot buy a gun and using it as a justification to enforce gun control. >Welfare isn't synonymous with communism. Yes, it is. It's a redistribution of wealth. In fact, Otto Von Bismarck compromised with the Socialist in Austria to implement the first welfare program. >Having some form of welfare is very popular, even on the right With RINOs, yes. Utilitarianism doesn't care about equality, it cares about total happiness/preference-satisfaction. Though it can sometimes imply some level of equality via diminishing returns on consumption. So if you're buying a superyacht and other people are starving, utilitarianism says "food is cheap and a superyacht is expensive, meanwhile a bunch of people avoiding starvation provides more happiness than 1 person being a bit happier with a superyacht instead of a regular yacht". But utilitarianism doesn't object to someone like Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos having a bunch of money intrinsically, almost all their money is investments anyway and it might say that investing the money in Amazon warehouses or advancing space-travel and electric-car technology is actually a good use for those resources in the long term. Furthermore, utilitarianism definitely doesn't support shit like affirmative-action in medical school like the "equality of outcome" people do. Under utilitarianism the economy isn't about equalizing racial groups or individuals, it's about producing things (like medical care) that satisfy people's preferences, and sacrificing the quality of the work being done so that black people feel better about their statistics is obviously not net-positive. Even if an economic system results in people wasting resources on things like superyachts, utilitarianism can support that system if the ways to change it would be worse overall.

>721049 Nothing I said is terribly different from what Bentham believed. He wasn't a communist, he wrote on economics and was apparently generally laissez-faire, even if he was also supportive of some things like welfare for the poor. But in any case, when it's a moral philosophy based around the fundamental idea that the morality of actions is based on what consequences they will have, of course it will give different results based on what you think those consequences will be. Apparently Bentham supported the idea of creating full-employment through monetary policy, which economists today generally regard as a bad idea. That doesn't mean you have to support full-employment to be a utilitarian. Bentham himself would probably stop supporting it if he was still alive and keeping up with the economics literature. It's a way of viewing morality, it was never a specific set of policy prescriptions. >>240962 >You just contradicted yourself. New 'Call of Duty' game has you killing civilians at Texas-Mexico border >Players seemingly instructed to point guns at Texans. The new Call of Duty entry exploits rhetoric about border security and terrorism. >The launch of the most recent entry into the Call of Duty Modern Warfare reboot series has proved to be successful, at least by PC player standards. But a recent review from gaming news site Kotaku has made light of the video game's single-player story that has you committing what would be considered war crimes at the Texas-Mexico border. >Early on in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, the story takes you to a fictional Texas border town to track down an Iranian terrorist being sheltered by a cartel after he stole U.S. missiles. >The game has you take part in an operation as a U.S.-backed special ops team joined by a colonel with the Mexican Special Forces. In the mission, you are forced to take part in violence that Kotaku says, "... feels uncomfortable even for a game." >The game forces you to shoot at people climbing over the Texas-Mexico border wall, claiming they are escaping cartel members, and then deescalate an encounter with American border town residents walking out of their homes by pointing your gun at them. >The player is eventually put in a situation where they may shoot armed civilians in their own home during a tense encounter after the special ops team barges in. >Later in the same mission, a group of Texas law enforcement agents show up to the scene, one of which is wearing a cowboy hat and says, "... it’s hard to tell you boys apart from the cartel." >A reminder, one of the special forces members is Mexican. The Kotaku piece then points out that if you shoot the police, it will fail the mission with the message, "Friendly fire will not be tolerated." >Another mission later on in the game has you sneak through a Mexican town while U.S.-backed private military contractors you previously partnered with can be seen and heard executing dozens of civilians for living in a cartel-dominated area. >The game attempts to paint the actions of the military and the U.S. with some cynicism, according to Kotaku, but it's veiled by glamorized depictions of warfare. >The Texas-Mexico missions also come at a time where Texas GOP candidates are bolstering their campaigns on border security, and migrants are being shot at the border. >Call of Duty also plays on Trumpian rhetoric that terrorists are coming into the U.S. through its southern border. Texas Sheriffs from border towns gathered for a press conference with GOP leaders earlier this year to claim that immigrants crossing the border is an "invasion." >The Texas Tribune reported in 2016 that apprehensions at the border that were related to any sort of potential terrorism were low. >However, Gov. Greg Abbott's border security overhaul, Operation Lone Star, has asked President Joe Biden to designate cartel members as terrorists. To date, Abbott has spent $4 billion on Operation Lone Star, adding $30 million in July. https://archive.ph/SUW7R
>>240974 >Who determines You determine, just like you determine everything else about your morality. Ultimately you're in charge of what morality you follow or if you want to obey a moral system at all. Preference utilitarianism just provides a guideline, that the most moral action is the which has consequences which best satisfies people's preferences. I consider it generally preferable to hedonic utilitarianism because sometimes people value things besides happiness/lack-of-suffering and I think it's good to take that into account. >preferences are considered over others? The preferences you think are stronger. If you don't know you can try asking, like how Quality Adjusted Life Years are calculated by asking people questions like "would you rather live 3 years but be blind or 2 years but you can see?" Of course, since people usually know more about their own preferences, this can provide justification for letting them make decisions about their own lives outside of extreme cases.

Modern Warfare 2’s ‘Borderline’ Mission Is The Latest Outrage >It’s always interesting to see what offends or upsets people on the internet. There’s no shortage of controversy and outrage to be found, and more often than not it’s contrived for attention or clicks (though not always, of course). >Kotaku’s review of the Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 single-player campaign brings up some of that game’s ‘controversial’ moments: >A later mission has you literally shooting people climbing the United States border wall in Texas. Here, you’re playing as Mexican special forces tracking down cartel members who are wrapped up in the overarching narrative. >These are, technically, the “bad guys” you’re shooting, but the gross imagery is still there. You are shooting at people climbing a border wall. >And the United States-Mexican border wall of all places. How anyone thought, regardless of the narrative wrapping, this is in good taste is beyond me. >This Texas level, “Borderline,” doesn’t stop there. Not only does the game literally ask you to “de-escalate” potential standoffs with armed American civilians by raising weapons at them. >You do end up having to kill civilians who are armed and think they stand a chance against fully suited special forces. Then, when the cops show up to racially profile you (a cop in a cowboy hat literally says to Mexican special forces “it’s hard to tell you boys apart from the cartel”), if you shoot them, it’s game over: fade to black with a warning that “friendly fire will not be tolerated.” Mhmm.” >This is curious. For one thing, you shoot cartel members who are just returning from the American side of the border over the fence. Not immigrants. >You’re playing as a Mexican Special Forces operator and you gun down bad guys who just smuggled a terrorist onto American soil. Bad imagery? I guess so. >I thought it was more interesting to see just how easy it was for people to scale the wall, personally. I also enjoyed just how much Spanish language this section of the game includes. >There has never been this much Spanish or this many Mexican characters in a Call Of Duty campaign before, but this increased diversity and inclusion seems to have gone unmentioned by the gaming press, which is odd. >As for shooting the armed civilians, this only happens after they draw their guns and start firing. It’s either shoot back or be killed. In other scenarios, killing a civilian will result in a fail-state and restarting at the check-point. >At least Kotaku notes that you’re playing as Mexican Special Forces in this mission. Over at Polygon, they make the de-escalation bits an entire blog post and they don’t even get the details correct. >Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 launches Thursday, but its campaign is playable right now for anyone who pre-ordered it; and it’s getting dragged pretty bad on social media for this awwwwwwkward quick-timer event in an early level. >Apparently Task Force 141 is raiding a trailer park, and NPC Cletus comes out to tell the soldiers the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 is respected in this household. >The player is then instructed to aim down sights at the civilian, who gets the hell back inside.”So many details are wrong in this paragraph it’s almost humorous. >First, this is not a ‘quick-timer event’ (which involve pressing a key or button at a specific time or before a timer runs down) it’s merely pointing—but not shooting—your gun at hostile civilians who think you’re a criminal trespassing on their property. >(You are trespassing but you’re not a criminal). Second, this mission doesn’t involve Task Force 141, a multi-national elite force comprised of characters like Ghost and Captain Price. >You play as a Mexican Special Forces operator under the command of Colonel Alejandro Vargas. The two operators cross the border as they pursue a terrorist named Hassan who is being smuggled by heavily armed cartel goons into the United States. >Third, the NPC is not named Cletus. Apparently in pointing out how it’s bad to de-escalate a situation like this involving civilians, Polygon feels the need to mock those very civilians for some reason. >Peculiar. I guess that the diabolical act of living in a trailer park in Texas is grounds to be mocked. We searched online for actual training documents and/or tactics that police (or any armed paramilitary service) use to de-escalate a volatile situation with civilians, whether they are suspects of a crime or not. >It didn’t take very long to find several such documents, and none told police professionals to do what Sgt. Maj. Rodolfo Parra does in those clips.” >The Mexican Special Forces operators are neither police nor “paramilitary” of any kind. These are highly trained elite soldiers and members of an actual army. >They are absolutely outside their jurisdiction here, true, but doing so on behalf of CIA operative Kate Laswell. Soldiers in urban environments often use the threat of violence to de-escalate potentially dangerous or hostile civilians. >And yes, even police will sometimes point a gun at someone who has a weapon in an attempt to get them to put the weapon down. Hopefully that doesn’t lead to shooting and the threat of shooting does the trick. And we’ve seen this in plenty of movies that were not deemed controversial at the time. >I’m honestly not sure how Polygon or the many other people who are criticizing this scene think it should have been handled differently since nobody actually offers up an alternative. >Bizarrely, Polygon quotes the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Journal of Police Negotiations. But “The officer de-escalating the crisis should also avoid speaking too loudly, which may cause further anxiety and agitation,” is entirely unhelpful in this scenario, which is not about resolving a crisis but rather capturing a fleeing terrorist and the heavily armed cartel gangsters who are protecting him. This isn’t a police negotiation, Polygon. >In the mission you’re essentially in a war-zone. You’re pursuing heavily armed combatants through an urban area and don’t really have time to stop and chat with angry Americans waving baseball bats at you. >Pointing a gun at them seems to do the trick in relatively short order. Obviously that’s not going to work, or even be desirable, in totally different scenarios. >Then again, the Polygon piece was written by someone who clearly didn’t play the mission and it shows. Others, who tweeted clips of the scene, have left out all context, leading many commenters on Twitter and elsewhere thinking it’s police-related—unaware that you’re playing as Mexican soldiers pointing weapons at American civilians—an interesting and subversive twist given that we almost only ever see the opposite in film or video games, where American’s do the same thing in foreign lands. >Perhaps some interesting debate could have stemmed from this mission with a little context and a less trigger-happy impulse on the part of the media to generate outrage. Alas, that does not seem to be the case. Much more fun to create a controversy than to discuss or analyze a video game mission and what it’s actually trying to say. https://archive.ph/WNUJQ

Battlefield Game Director Asks Fans Map Layout & Location Preferences; Frostbite Getting “Much Needed” Upgrades >While EA has confirmed that a new Battlefield game is in development, which will come with a full-fledged campaign, it still hasn’t been revealed officially yet. During this development phase, it looks like the new heads of the franchise are making sure the fans are heard. >Over on Twitter, Battlefield Game Director and co-creator of the Halo franchise Marcus Lehto has posted a question asking Battlefield fans their map and layout preferences. >Hey #Battlefield players. Question about locations, which are expensive to build, along with well designed map variety. Would you prefer more maps and more variety from large to small layouts in fewer locations or less variety in layouts but more unique locations >Answering fan queries on Twitter, Lehto also confirmed that the Frostbite game engine developed by DICE is getting some “much needed upgrades.” >For reference, the first iteration of the Frostbite game engine debuted back in 2008 in Battlefield: Bad Company. It was part of the franchise’s selling point, as each new Battlefield game touted a new Frostbite game engine upgrade. >Since then, every mainline Battlefield game has been running on the game engine ever since, as well as most of EA’s first-party games, too. You can check out the list of games running on Frostbite right here. >Regarding the maps, I’d personally want more variety even if they’re based on the same locations. I mean, if it’s an urban map, even if they are based in the same location, it doesn’t have to play and look the same, which is what’s important. But then again, that’s just me. >>240984 >>240986 I'm not describing what I or utilitarianism thinks is good, I'm just describing what is, under any moral system. No moral philosopher can remote-control your body, doesn't matter if it's Bentham or Kant or Martin Luther. All they can do is describe a framework for thinking about morality and hope you take it into account when making your decisions. Every moral system has some room for interpretation and ultimately it's you who decide whether to follow it in the first place. Talking about "who decides" like it's someone other than yourself makes no sense, it's an idea not a law. Of course "passing a law" is itself an action, so utilitarianism supports passing laws with net-good consequences. But the laws supported by utilitarianism aren't going to be identical to utilitarianism itself because passing a law mandating something and doing it yourself are different actions with different consequences. For example trying to micromanage people through laws/police has detrimental effects, so a legal system created by utilitarians is going to allow plenty of actions that utilitarianism would advise against.

I'm aware of word already going around about how the software industry is seeing a vast reduction in the amount of customers and sales they have, but companies like Ubisoft get their money from government subsidies rather than sales. Could also be a side effect of Musk finally buying Twatter.

>>241006 >too bad the cops in the country you live in that follows the results of said moral philosophers helping create a system won't give a shit about it Yes, I dicussed that in the post you're responding to. But the cops aren't going to enforce "everyone act to optimally satisfy everyone's preferences or be arrested". The cops enforce actual laws, and having clearcut laws actually has better consequentialist results than trying to make law and morality identical. >Not really, that depends entirely on your definition of "detriment" Utilitarianism says it's morally good to eat healthy and exercise, since this better satisfies your future preferences of being healthy and long-lived. But it doesn't say it's morally good to have cops come to your hourse and order you to do pushups. Utilitarianism says it's morally good to donate to charities which benefit people more efficiently than spending the same money on yourself. But it doesn't say all "excess" money should be confiscated by the government and given to charity, because the consequences of having a free-market economic system results in more prosperity and preference-satisfaction overall. Utilitarianism says it's morally bad to get in a pointless argument with your wife because you happened to have a bad day and feel like taking it out on someone. But it doesn't say cops should arrest anyone that says something mean, because free-speech is beneficial for society overall. >You conflate "good for everyone" (an impossible ideal under human standards) with "what a utilitarian considers good" (what a selfish bastard decides is the best course of action) It's "what a utilitarian considers to have the best consequences for everyone". And yes people can interpret that in biased ways to benefit themselves. But that's true for pretty much any morality, and they could also just decide to be ethical egoists if they want.

>>241027 >having clearcut laws actually has better consequentialist results than trying to make law and morality identical Except, laws do reflect the morals people have. American doesn't have the 2A because the Founding Fathers thought it would be cool for everyone to have a gun. The reason the 2A exists is because the Founding Father experienced the tyranny of the government, and believed that a well armed populace would be the only stop-gap measure to prevent it (Not to mention the bonus of protection for the individual). Meanwhile, other countries disagree with this assessment, such as Japan, who believe that a government needs to have the ability to be tyrannical, as the populace exist to serve the emperor, which is why guns are entirely outlawed. >Utilitarianism says it's morally good to eat healthy and exercise, since this better satisfies your future preferences of being healthy and long-lived. But it doesn't say it's morally good to have cops come to your hourse and order you to do pushups. How is their "morality" enforced then? What's ultimately the difference between Utilitarianism and a "free market", aside from the former hanging it's hat on "morality" and the latter focused upon acquiring wealth to do what you want?

>>241000 Like I said there's already real world examples of how these machines would exist and likely work. Machine learning algorithms would find patterns in data and generate predictive models from said data. Then by following a directive (biggest failing to this whole idea, I don't think I need to explain the problem here), can simulate new outcomes by probing variables in said data to find an "optimal future". It would be disturbingly similar to a social credit system (or minority report style system), but with minimal human oversight and semi-conscious level form of social engineering. From the machines' perspective, what is considered correct is judged by how close aligned to its directive said actions are. Beyond that point however, the answer will always be, no one actually knows. Because such a system would become incomprehensible for individuals to understand its inner-workings as it advances. This would even occur if no machines were involved, in the form of a bloated bureaucracy trying to manage it.

>>241050 >>241052 Pretty much, people will eventually attempt to make an AI to rule over them in the vain belief that it could do a better job than flawed humanity. In reality, there's a 99.99% chance that the AI would be flawed either in its construction or in its methods. It'd follow the letter of law to an exact degree, not caring for context or the bigger picture. It would be the ultimate tyrant, a ruler that doesn't sleep, doesn't age, doesn't retire, can't even be killed because its processors would be distributed in geo-redundent data centers throught the world and constantly under heavy guard. If it was advanced enough to maintain and expand itself, there would be no stopping it short of an all-out nuclear Armageddon. And what's scary is people are already doing this on a smaller scale. Every major tech company uses AI moderators to scan posts for content that it thinks violates the TOS. You can see it really easily on Youtube, go to any comment section and look at the replies. Most threads will say something like "7 replies", but if you open that thread there'll only be 3 visible comments. This is because an AI-mod detected something in the other 4 comments and hides them automatically. There's no reason to believe that these sorts of moderators won't be used in the "real" world such as law, government, business, etc. They'll build it in small pieces. Handing over one piece of responsibility at a time. There will be no single moment that anybody can point to, just a gradual descent into slavery. I'm not sure what the solution for this is, short of somehow outlawing the practice of AI moderators. But lawmakers sre tech-illiterate geriatrics, so good luck getting them to write a non-retarded law even if you could get enough people to agree on the issue in the first place.

>>241118 >Cloud gaming >VR Unless you're on a 1gbps service and within a 100 miles of the servers - the whole thing is going to fucking collapse. I just recently upgraded to 500gbps and have tried out cloud gaming on it... and while playable for many titles, I'm still getting compression artifacts, large screen tears, and input lag is still too great for anything that requires fast reflexes. And that's with a wired connection. Meta will be running cloud gaming wirelessly, so your router will be a huge factor in just how shitty of an experience it'll be. There's no way they're going to pulling off 90hz+ with the kind of response time your neck and controller positioning require. Even AirLink to a local PC can be a fiddly experience at best as I understand. I don't own a Quest, and recommend anyone even remotely interested in VR to either get a cheap/used last-gen wired headset or hold out for the Valve Deckard. Hell, it's more reasonable to tell people to just wait for the PSVR2 and cross your fingers for timely PC drivers than suggest they get a Meta. The reason this deal is even going through, as bad an idea as it is, is because Meta simply isn't selling software for the fucking thing. Their catalog, and capabilities, are so fucking limited that they had to raise the price because people are telling Facebook to fuck off and just playing Airlink/Cable to their Steam VR libraries. >2nd pic Immersion fags are way over-selling the capabilities of VR. The kind of VR that would actually pacify the masses the way they hope for is so far away technologically that it's functionally impossible due to the limits we're already running into with pushing computational limitations. The immersion is nice - but it's not "ready player one/Matrix" level experiences that shills and shitheads want you to think it is. It IS, however, more like having a personal-3D iMax theater on your head (with body tracking). That's a selling point enough, I think. They just need to get the costs down.

In north america you basically have to call your ISP and tell them you're planning on cancelling your subscription because you can't afford the price or found a competing price. So the advertised prices aren't really the real prices you can get, they are usually much higher.

Try raising a stink at one of their annual meeting to see if you can get them to bid on the next government telecom grant. That's how we ended up getting it done here. CenturyLink was counting on getting a grant to "expand" in this area, but their CEO already admitted that they were cutting rural customers loose and likely would have just pocketed anything left over after basic maintenance costs and upgrades to major population centers. Our power company swooped in and took the grant promising to cover the entire county. And they did. >>241196 Fingers crossed, the price hikes may not affect your area. We're getting railed precisely because the fiber optics that are being installed are making the entire market too heavily competitive for them to operate in. And I don't know if those price hikes are across the board. A part of the hike on mine was because the bundle package we had was grandfathered in from old AT&T contracts, which are being phased out. Took about a month to get our long-distance service back a while ago, because when they dissolved the bundle, they didn't have an equivalent - and none of the pajeets they had me call knew what the fuck they were doing. Four time I had to harass them after they kept assuring me it was all fixed-no problem. China makes the Robot Dog from Battlefield 2042 video game a reality, complete with machine gun >Video game franchises like Call of Duty and Battlefield often have weapons inspired by real life, however, sometimes it is the other way around. Battlefield 2042 is a famous first-person shooter video game developed by DICE. >The game features a weaponized assault robot dog called Ranger. The ranger can be summoned and gets airdropped into an active combat zone. >The robot assault dog from Battlefield 2042 has now found its way into real life, thanks to a private Chinese Military contractor - Kestrel Defense Blood-Wing. The Chinese military contractor posted a video on the Chinese social media platform Weibo showcasing a large drone carrying a robot dog with a gun mounted on top. >The video shows the weapon-wielding robot dog standing up and moving around the rooftop. War dogs descend from the sky!" read Kestrel's Weibo post. >The heavy-duty drones can deliver combat dogs, to be directly inserted behind enemy lines and spring surprise attacks on weak links. >They can also be placed on the rooftops and work with troops on the ground to ambush enemies inside buildings." And just like the Video game the robot dog gets dropped in the field using a drone >The Ranger robot dog from Battlefield 2042 is exactly similar and offers functions like guarding the player, auto-detecting enemy targets, and highlighting the enemies apart from engaging them with gunfire. >Recently, Robotics companies like Boston Dynamics, Agility Robotics, ClearParth, Open robotics, and more jointly wrote an open letter to the Robotics industry with a pledge to not weaponize their products. However, US Robotics firm Ghost Robotics recently showcased 'Vision 60', a quadrupedal robot equipped with a custom gun. https://archive.ph/StbRh

Physical 'copies' of the new Call of Duty are just empty discs >Cartridges and discs used to be how you got the latest games, but that's been changing as downloads have become more convenient and reliable. >But some people prefer the sure thing: a physical copy, so they can play offline or with a bad connection. To them, Activision says "qq": the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II disc is basically just a link to a 150-gigabyte download. >Now, to be fair, games that size don't fit neatly on even high-capacity Blu-ray discs, which for distribution purposes max out at around 50 gigs. Not that we haven't seen multi-disc games before (I never finished Final Fantasy VIII because the final disc was scratched... someday, Edea), but clearly Activision decided it wasn't worth the bother in this case. >That's something of a shame, because there are people all over the world who, for one reason or another, would prefer a physical copy of the game. >There's the ever-present fear that one's digital access might disappear for whatever reason, or perhaps one has a spotty connection — a common issue in the military, I understand. Even those with decent internet might find themselves uncomfortably close to transfer caps if they start their month with a 150-gig spree (even more once Warzone gets added). >It's been getting tougher for people making that choice — still a perfectly valid one for TV and movies, if you're willing to wait a bit, by the way — but generally they have been able to get a working, if not fully updated and optimized, version of the game that just works when you put the disc in. >That's not the case with CoD:MWII, as discovered by players who preordered the game and received the disc slightly early. Far from having the full game on it, the disc is almost completely empty. >This 72-megabyte app is basically just an authenticator and shell that initiates the enormous download process. I'd be willing to bet that most of those 72 megabytes are 4K video files of logos. >There's even a preorder steelbook bonus (that's a metal case for the disc and anything else it comes with). Players may be disappointed to find that this fancy reinforced packaging protects nothing of value. >Obviously there is great waste entailed in the production of perhaps millions of discs (though the numbers are likely much lower than they used to be) for no reason. But waste is endemic in consumerism. The bait and switch of it is the galling thing — that Activision is taking the worst of both worlds. >There's literally no point in even providing a physical version of the software if none of the reasons for doing so are fulfilled by it. It's the equivalent of the next season of Stranger Things coming on a disc that just loads up Netflix and starts streaming. Why bother? >It's worth asking whether Activision could have built a version of the game that fit on a disc at all. Considering how proudly they've been advertising the realism of the graphics, probably not. >A single 4K texture unit, say for a building front or character model, may be scores of megabytes, and any AAA game will have countless such textures. Meanwhile the audio and video assets also have to fit on there, and they can only be compressed so far before they degrade. >Chances are the team thought that while a functional disc version would be theoretically possible, it would not be an adequate representation of the game they'd worked so hard on. One sympathizes: Imagine spending all that time doing high-resolution photogrammetry of an Amsterdam street only to have it look like a level from Quake. >Would the outcry if they announced no physical edition at all be worse than them shipping a fake one? Hard to say. At least the former takes "courage," as Apple would no doubt put it, while the latter is just misleading and wasteful. >We may be entering an era where digital delivery is the standard, but there are good and bad ways of doing it. This was a bad way. https://archive.ph/DRVHz

>>241373 He had opportunities to back out when Twitter was screaming at him to not buy them, he has a team of financial advisors that know a bit more about this process than you do. I don't think he would have gone through with this if he didn't have a strong plan and backup strategies. Besides, the main reason Twitter is unprofitable is precisely because of all the parasites clinging to it, which he seems determined to kick out the door. Somehow I think he'll make it work. I hope he does in any case, because it would be to the world's benefit to have free and open communication on social media again. I'm more concerned that he's making too many enemies too fast. He's fighting a war on multiple fronts and it puts him in a precarious situation. But every time I've been a doubter in the past he manages to pull it off.

>>241390 >he has a team of financial advisors that know a bit more about this process than you do. You assume that he is listening to them. If people like Musk have a weakness it is that they did have a my way or the highway approach. There is no way Musk was doing some 5d chess move when he tried backing out or at least a successful 5d chess move From what I can gather he made the offer and behind the scenes was trying to find some partners to put up some money. He couldn't find anybody and so tried to back out or just buy time using bots as a reason. It took a while for his lawyers to get through to him that it didn't matter and he was on the hook for all of the money himself. In a weird way financially twitter is probably not worth that much but politically it is probably undervalued.
>>241392 Inaccurate. Its defeat led to globalism. Just as Hitler had warned us it would.

You're probably correct here. >In a weird way financially twitter is probably not worth that much but politically it is probably undervalued. That's what I'm thinking. The ability to reach millions of people and influence the information they have access to is priceless. It just needs to be profitable to stay afloat and keep a big audience, the political influence pays for itself in other ways. And hey, if SJWs self-isolate themselves by migrating to niche alt-left-Twitters where only other extremists congregate, then buying Twitter would have already paid dicidends. Let them retreat into their own tiny echo chambers while the main market square becomes balanced or even right-favored.
>>241392 That's definitely a statement that anyone who has done any research at all would say.

You're missing the point. >you cant fucking act like they werent justified to do so They literally weren't. Germany didn't take an inch of British soil anywhere. Germany wasn't a threat to Britain. Germany had fucking nothing to say about Britain except good things. Hell, HITLER DIDN'T HATE THE POLISH PEOPLE. He made it illegal to publish anti-Polish media during the interwar period. When the Polish government was overthrown, however, they started drawing up war plans against Germany and killing Germans living in Poland. >after germany took over most of europe. Funny how you have nothing whatsoever to say about Britain's "defense guarantee" with Poland (which British government officials publicly admitted wasn't real and they had no intention of honoring it) not being activated when the Soviets invaded, isn't it. No, see, Britain only declared war on Germany, because they didn't want Germany to exist at all. Meanwhile they allied with the Soviets and then gave all of Poland to the fucking communists after the war, directly violating their treaty. I'm sure the British were squeaky clean in that, though, right? It's all Germany's fault for daring to want to survive.

>>241427 >Again, there were actual plans to invade the soviet union, from a strategic sense declaring war on them both would make absolutely no sense, it is a completely scummy move, yes, but a scumy move with a good reason. Speaking of which, immediately after Berlin was one, Patton was already drawing up plans to arm the Germans and have them combine with the Allies all for the purpose of a united front against Russia. That is, until he was assassinated. Then, MacArthur went through a similar situation during the Korean War, when he tried to move the fighting out of Korea, and focus on China being the bigger threat, to which Truman fired him because he wasn't "ready" to fight another war (Despite MacArthur stating that a-bombs would solve everything in a matter of weeks).

How it's "in our best interests" to ensure that queers and trannies and feminism are brought to the whole world. It is hypocrisy to claim that the UK was justified in declaring war on Germany (due to its defense agreement with Poland) but that it was also justified in not declaring war on the USSR (which is a violation of said agreement). You clarified (thank you) that you said it was wrong of them not to, so you're not a hypocrite. THAT'S FUCKING ALL. You're not the one with your real finger on the real nuclear button right now. That's what a hypothetical situation is. >Nigger this is fruitless, you have become beyond histeric Illiteracy tends to rankle me, yeah. Get absolutely fucked, propagandist. >cannot even make up your mind with what you say Six times you've had it explained to you. This is your problem, not mine. >[buzzwords because he can't defend his claims] Do you think that will work?
>>241437 Well of course te versailles treaty wouldnt fix shit, it wasnt meant to, it was pure french revanchism over the franco-prussian war and the UK wanting to fuck over germany's colonial empire.
>>241440 You say that fucking shit and then have the gall to deny that the UK wanted to dismantle Germany. Get absolutely fucked.
>>241438 Ok, world ate shit then.
>>241441 Fucking over your colonial empire=/= dismantling the german empire as you claimed. Youre histeric, theres no point in arguing with you, there never is, you want to impose your bullshit, im not going to bother today.

>>241430 >>Britain refusing surrender doesnt means that they wanted the disolution of the german state >No one said it did. Stop putting the cart before the horse. <Britain only declared war on Germany, because they didn't want Germany to exist at all If that isn't what you meant you need to rephrase your quote in a way that makes sense. >Are those Britain? No, but letting an enemy bent on expansion occupy vast regions unopposed is poor strategy. >>241431 to be fair, usury was a mistake >>241433 >You jsut contradicted yourself you absolute moron. I think you misunderstood, see >>241421 >werent justified to do so after germany took over most of europe At that point, the discussion was about the beginning of the war.
>>241444 Thats literally not >When Britain declared war on Germany they refused all peace offers from Germany and demanded that Germany stop existing as a political entity. And i even claimed that about versailles before, but you dont read because youre a stupid nigger.

>>241445 >If that isn't what you meant you need to rephrase your quote in a way that makes sense. Britain refused to surrender. They wanted Germany dismantled. Their refusal to surrender does not ~intrinsically~ mean that they wanted Germany dismantled, no. He claimed that it does; it doesn't. That's all. Desire for German dismantling drove their refusal to surrender, but it's not the only reason a nation would refuse to surrender. It's just the British historical reason, specifically from WWII. >No, but letting an enemy bent on expansion occupy vast regions unopposed is poor strategy Sure, but that statement exists outside of the known context of the situation. Germany, in its peace offers, openly stated that they had no desire to harm Britain. they wanted Britain to retain a larger navy than them and willingly conceded sea power to the UK. >to be fair, usury was a mistake This is really the only important argument to be had about every event in the last, oh, 4000 years of human history, but specifically all the events of the 20th century. It's a goddamn shame that we can be turned against one another by this sideshow.

There was fraud everywhere. They literally had to stop counting the votes in order to fake enough support for Biden.

>>241459 >At least 20 million Holy shit, how did you arrive at that number? Any proof or source?
>>241461 That's a highball estimate, I fully admit, but there are hard stats to throw into question a hell of a lot surrounding the total. >The US 2020 Presidential Election counted a record-breaking 158 million votes, 22 million higher than the previous election, and yet was decided by only 42,918 votes or 0.027% across Arizona, Georgia and Wisconsin. This site throws together data for the more important races: https://electionfraud20.org/ And we keep seeing ludicrously questionable information on a smaller scale, bit by bit, throughout the years: https://wethepeopleconvention.org/articles/Voter-Fraud-Compilation-Page Now, of course I have to mention that yes, both parties vote identically on every issue of import and yes, it's basically a puppet theater. I don't personally support the GOP or Trump (they're both goddamn traitors and liars), despite the election quite clearly having gone against Trump specifically. It's just a matter of the physical evidence we've seen since the election. We're a banana republic now. Not quite on the scale of Liberia, but getting there.

>>241476 Niggers aren't politically dangerous in isolation. It's their influence in popular culture towards real races that is dangerous, and the only reason they have that influence is because the kikes propped them up constantly and forced them into every facet of popular culture. >>241457 >There was that TIME Magazine article boasting about how unions got together to vote for Biden and that laws were changed in certain states to allow lax voting He lost by the popular vote by several million, but keep in mind that it's the electoral votes that truly matter. And as >>241462 put it, you only need to commit fraud in a couple key counties in swing states to win a critical amount of votes. Another thing worth keeping in mind is that election fraud doesn't necessarily have to be coordinated or organized from the top. Individual ballot counters can and do play their own little games, throwing out ballots or miscounting votes. On election night 2020, I distinctly remember seeing one video from a postal service employee who'd gathered a bunch of ballots from mailboxes on their route and was burning them in a pile. They uploaded the video to gloat about it. That person wasn't on the deep state's payroll. They were just some BLM knuckledragger who wanted to stick it to Trump. You can bet that sort of thing happened all over the country IN ADDITION to the organized ballot stuffing. We'll never know how close the race was but I can tell you, the 2020 election was an unmitigated disaster. If it weren't for the Covid lockdowns and mail-in voting, Trump would have won that race. There's no doubt in my mind about that.
>>241506 Don't know about Deep State, but having the democrat vote counters working without the watch of the republicans and even using the police to kick them out it's pretty suspicious. Everyone knows the election was stolen but still let it slide.
>>241506 Don't forget the dead people voting in Michigan, the 4am ballet dumps after a conspicuous "break" until it happened. Oh, and the fact that Maricopa Country in Arizona did everything to they could to hide the results from the auditors, complaining all the while, even deleting data from the fucking machines whereas in 2016 they agreed to a full audit and examination of the machines with no contest when Trump won.
