E-Ratic storytime 04/04/2021 (Sun) 20:02:47 No. 11085
By request, issues #1-4 of E-Ratic. I'll drop #5 when it comes out. In my opinion, this feels like an attempt to do a GenZed Spider-Man, but your mileage may very. So far I've liked it, but Woke is always on the table, these days, so the second they have a heroic tranny or similar horse-shit, I'm out. But I must admit, if they can stay off the SJW non-gendered nipple, I might actually buy the first collection. >You’re fifteen years old. You’re suddenly granted incredible powers. Cool, right? There’s only one problem: you can only use your powers for ten minutes at a time. What do you do when you have to save the world but you only have ten minutes to do it? This is the problem faced by Oliver Leif, a teenager who has just moved to a new town, and a new school, and is having a hard enough time navigating classes and his crush before the inter-dimensional monsters started showing up. P.S. - "Gwen Stacy" starts off as a massive cunt, but she starts to improve when she realizes that real life (as it were) is about more than likes and followers. She still henpecks the fuck out of him, but I'm hoping that will change as he gets more confidence.

>>11107 Aw, fuck. I forgot about his mom burning the coal. Well, it's still pretty low-grade woke.
(2.00 MB 290x387 overclocking your cat.gif)

Not bad. I can understand the woke-suspicion but considering the Kim picture on evil teacher's room and the hugging teacher, it feels more like the comic author would get cancelled if he gets popular, rather than this being some complex sneak-woke attack
>>11121 Could be. Could very well be. He's only got one issue left, so if he doesn't shit the bed by having the two girls scissor, it should get at least another limited series.

Art style is tolerable for the most part, some drawings are incredibly ugly like the first page in >>11102 , it tries to be dynamic but end up looking lumpy and deformed, it's like his meaty body is about to fall apart, ugh. The badly rendered real life objects and backgrounds are disappointing and ugly. Story wise, it's alright, not amazing, but not bad either. The communism criticism is fun and the story of/drama with MC dad is interesting. Overall, I wouldn't mind continue to read it if will keep getting storytimed. >>11108 Nah, he's mom is fucked up and didn't even bother to tell the poor fool that she has kids. It would've been woke, if it was presented as good couple (also meaning both of them being good people which the mom clearly isn't).

>>11471 It was an Immortal Hulk Christmas special from this past December. For whatever fucking reason, Hulk's latest personality is the green Hulk with more child-like innocence and a scrawnier frame. He can still punch a building to death, but the Thing cleaned his clock with one punch only to have Mr. Fixit emerge and call him a faggot for whaling on a kid. Meanwhile, Bruce and the gang regularly trust their lives to the tranny who programs their teleporters and Doc Samson is trapped in the body of green Sasquatch. And I'm talking about the character, Walter Langkowsky, from Alpha Flight, not some random bigfoot. Meanwhile, the Leader has become some horrifying spider-monster who's dicking with the green universe that gamma-mutates go to when they die before being revived. It's INSANE. Part body horror, part farce, and part delving into the psyche of man with a head full of very troubled people. And it's the best thing Marvel currently has in its stable. It's the only one I look forward to every month. Eventually, they'll fuck it up, but I've learned to live in the moment when I find something worth reading. My only wish is to live long enough to see Marvel and DC burn for their sins.
>>11452 >Dad is a piece of shit too. Maybe, or maybe she just didn't feel the tingles anymore and dropped him for some greener (or browner) grass.
>>11462 He just found out she has kids. >>11483 >Maybe He abandoned his sick dying son to save his selfish ass.

>>11501 When it tips the scales from "annoying but ignorable" to "I WILL FUCKING DESTROY THEM," that's when I'll quit. In the meantime, I haven't paid for a Marvel comic since '91 and I'm not about to start because of Immortal Hulk. It's better than any other Marvel comics, both in art and writing, but that's a pretty low bar. I do like the inventiveness, though, and the body horror and other horror comic aspects of it. The psychological themes are things that have always interested me. They didn't mention the tranny penis status for many issues, and I liked the slightly-less-clumsy-than-normal way they slipped it in, even if it did still give me the hives. The fact that they didn't make >her look like a supermodel female is also worth noting. It's not redpilled by any stretch of the imagination, but there are many things to like about the comic. Today's release was a bit of filler issue, though. And I'm not going to lie, making Joe Fixit a red Hulk instead of a grey one is absolutely retarded.
>>11489 >He just found out she has kids. Are you correcting me or agreeing with me? Because that was the gist of what I said. "She got brats! Dis bettah be worth mah time" >>11489 >He abandoned his sick dying son to save his selfish ass. Fuck, I missed that part of it.
>>11506 It just seems to me more like he just realized that and he's like; "oh, I'm fucked" and what you suggested would be like next stage. But your interpenetration works too.

>>11489 >He abandoned his sick dying son to save his selfish ass. It's funny, but after reading the first few pages of issue #5, I realized that the mom is one of the biggest cunts on earth and the guy probably knew he had to get out. He may have decided not to fight for custody since the women nearly always win ("EQUALITY!") or maybe he TRIED to get custody and couldn't get it. Or maybe he's going through a midlife crisis. I don't know. What I do know is that he let his sons down, big time, but I don't think he's actually even close to being the worst of the two parents. The coal-burner is a hot mess of shit, and the funniest part is that the black dude is so thirsty for white pussy, he's going to let her drunken ass run the show and ruin HIS life, as well.
Good stuff, next volume when

>>12296 Beats me, but I'm loving it. It reminds me of Ultimate Spider-Man, before they flushed the entire universe down the toilet. E-ratic is definitely a new take on Spider-Man (which they're not even trying to hide in pic related), and while he has issues, it's not the crippling guilt Peter's always dragging around. Holy fuck, go see a therapist, you cunt! I dig the costume, too.
(138.92 KB 305x263 melted hands.png)

I like this issue less than the previous ones, the death of the energy-being was too fast. I hope it's a fake death and he would appear again, he's quite interesting which is why it's shame to get rid of him immediately. The NPC bit was fun and as usual I appreciate the mockery of communism. >>12291 <let his sons down, big time That's one hell of way to rephrase that he left his son to die alone in agony. <he's actually even close to being the worst of the two parents As much as the mom is shit too, we haven't seen her screw things up like this.
(6.26 KB 273x228 patton just.jpg)

>>12315 As far as I'm concerned, being an abusive, alcoholic, coal-burner tops being left to die. I'd rather be dead than have a mom like that. Plus, he got those nifty powers, which he probably wouldn't have if his pop had taken him to the hospital.
>>12317 <abusive Neglecting? Yes. But abusive? No. <he got those nifty powers Never wanted them and it doesn't excuse the father being a huge asshole, both of them were certain Oliver just going to die and he suffered in the process.
(120.19 KB 356x191 Screenshot.png)

>>12321 Had a whole huge fucking post full of points and something went wrong so here's the short version. >neglect IS abuse, legally and morally >she puts herself ahead of her kids. Booze over rent and food. Relationship over her kids. >Wrecks the older son's car while drunk driving, lies to him >Verbally abuses the black dude for no reason. The dad: >It's not, as far as I can tell, been proven that he actually abandoned E-Ratic. E misses him, still loves him, and is worried about him >the dad went out in a mutagenic epidemic. He could be dead, injured, amnesiac, comatose, sick from the bug, mutated into something that can't communicate, etc. The kid blames himself, not the dad. If you can show me where the dad definitively left for selfish reasons, I'll retract, but I suspect the truth will be revealed in future volumes.
>>12334 <It's not, as far as I can tell, been proven that he actually abandoned E-Ratic Not, only your text literally says it, but it was also mentioned Oliver was left alone for two weeks in his father' apartment. In addition, even before the pandemic, he hadn't seen his son for almost a year! <The kid blames himself, not the dad And he doesn't hate his mom either, what's your point? Many kids would still love their parents even if they're awful. >definitively left for selfish reasons Saving his own skin while his son suffering all alone is not selfish?!

>>12385 None of what you posted proves anything, and he stated explicitly that he was going out for supplies. When the next series rolls around, I will return to this thread and cram your assumptions-based-on-personal-experience up your ass. Just because your dad went out for cigs 20 years ago doesn't mean all dads do that.

>>12455 <None of what you posted proves anything >because I said so! That's not how debunking works. >he stated explicitly that he was going out for supplies Sorry the concepts of humor and parallels are foreign to you, autist. Speaking of explicitly stating, so thus Oliver says that his father has abandon him and he's a bad person. <all that ad hominem and no actual arguments Shame, we had civilized and fair discussion so far...if you want to play armchair psychologist, I'd say you're the one with mommy issues considering how much you willing to go through defending the father and ignoring the problems with him while only criticizing the mother.
