Anyone remember these fellas? For some reason, they would air on a local tv station in my yuropoor nation despite the fact that they had absolutely nothing to do with the shows surrounding them. I've been trying to grab as many of the shorts as possible, although I have noticed that the vast majority of them are either one-to-one copies of the original comic strips, or some even copies of themselves.
Never knew there was a cartoon, I did read the strips and bought the PS2 videogame though.
>>34644 Actually, there were two iterations of the cartoon: one was from 1995-97, which followed the original style much more closely. The other skits were released in the mid 2000 (I believe). I much rather prefer the original ones because, well, they're just animated better, but at least the more modern ones have original skits and aren't just copying the strips.
>>34669 Those were probably shorts included with the live action Mad TV (which ran from 1996-2016 according to IMDB. I had no idea it lasted past 2001) and the Mad cartoon done by the guys behind Robot Chicken (2010-2022).
Outside of short gags there really isn't much you can do with them.
>>34677 I never minded that at all. It's perfectly fine to have some sort of read-once comics like these. Plus it all depends on the writer, remember that Garfield had a pretty good show despite the comic strips not having that kind of lore or depth to them.
>>34690 Which one? Because Garfield hasn't had a good animated show in almost a decade.
>>34708 Obviously he means the one from the '80s.
