I need advice, I've been working on this webcomic for years now, keeping it 100% SFW and family friendly. It's been a nice journey, but honestly after all these years of effort I still don't have a lot of success. Then, a few months ago I made an account on baraag because users on Twitter were cancelling the comic even though it's SFW just because it has underage main characters. On baraag I got nothing but good friends, followers and even artists making NSFW fanart of my characters. The NSFW fanart gave me more views and even monetary success (the monthly income for the project literally duplicated since) in a few months than all the work in years. So I'm really considering embracing the NSFW side, create a different brand with the same characters and do it. I'm worried about the long-time supporters, friends and artists who won't be okay with NSFW of the loli characters though. Should I do it anyway?

It's your thing so you decide the form it's going to take but know this, whichever way you want to go with it, go all the way or don't bother. Do not half ass it with anything between.

Another thought would be, "why change what is working?" Let the fan artists do their thing. Encourage them even, but keep doing the comic the way that you are. That is the formula that works for the studio-made stuff.

I think we should all read the comic before offering advise. Because after we've read it we'll have a much better understanding of everything. Which is why I'm reading it now, but should it be posted here?

Yo, Sugar, I was just reading this comic because of this thread, and please don't change anything. This story is actually good. Yeah, the wand looks a bit ridiculous, but it is a fun narrative. Let the fan artists do their thing, but do not make this into a porno. It's a good comic, and there are not enough of those around.

>>43571 Well randomly changing it so drastically will drive away anyone who was there for the comic itself so you'll just have the coomer fans left, seems to me the better alternative would be to make an alt and make your own nsfw fanart/comic spinoff, nobody has to know it's even you drawing it unless you decide to tell them, and this way both the nsfw and sfw crowds get what they want even though your output will slow down it seems better than just alienating your actual fans for more money

Solution seems simple: Post the lewd stuff exclusively to Baraag and keep posting the SFW version everywhere else. Refuse to address it if your existing fans complain.
