So, I have a few questions regarding the rulings on this contest: A) would we be allowed to change an already existing Rule34 concept to using original characters or do they have to be characters made exclusively for said comic? B) it doesn’t say so correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t see any rules that say they need to be human or any restrictions on genre, additional mechanics (such as magic, sci-fi tech, horror themes, monster/magic/alien/non-human animal-like races) C) is repurposing characters from a pre-existing original fiction, counting self-inserts, repurposed fan characters, and/or characters exclusively originating from prior written works, not allowed either or does it matter? D) does it have to be fully drawn (up to and including full ink/color) or would I be allowed to just submit a script as its own entry and have just as much of a chance? By that same token, is there a min/maximum page limit for submissions or is it just “as long as it needs”?

I just included them in the first place because just saying "hey let's have a contest!" sounded kinda lazy, like "hey! you decide everything for me". But I will give my opinion in reply, but know that this is in no way authoritative: A) Sure, I see why not, the rule34 rule is just to encourage people to make things that are wholly original. OC characters, settings, plotlines, etc. not just thing repurposed from existing material by other authors/artists. First, it's a means of motivating people to create things with the maximum appeal to us from the ground up (meaning they are made for our "interests"). Second it's a means of avoiding possible legal issues down the line (I'm not familiar with where the law stands here besides some basic reading, but as a prize is a necessary part of a contest, I'd like to stay on the safe side as much as I can). Most r34 plotlines aren't canon by any measure, they are typically very original. B) At the very least, the character with the most focus needs to appear similar to a prepubescent human, they don't need to be human, but they must at least be humanOID. D) good question, I guess I might split things further and make a separate category for artists and writers, or allow erotica and comics as separate categories. I don't know what I could do with submission length, I was thinking of just making this in the vein of competitions like "shounen/shoujo jump" holds for submissions. Well, overly long submissions and overly short ones tend to carry a risk to them that either there isn't enough to hold interest, or there is so much that interest dies out, but it might not be fair to allow an anthology or miniseries to compete with a four-panel or one-shot. In general, I think the rules and system needs input from the community, I just looked at the manga competitions held by "jump", and thought "we should do something like that, but with our fucked up pedo-porn" The rules I made are either mostly down to legal concerns (such as the r34 rule), Or they are to keep things in the realm of true pedo, rather than the hebe/ephebe stuff that is typically lumped in with it by normies, and which could be found in a lot of more mainstream hentai/erotica, in which high school is quite prominent (hence the rule on the focus character appear to resemble a human under 8 but over 4, just to be sure that this is aimed at the right "appeal" demographic). The sex of the tentacle-bearer is also taken into account, and if the sex of the bearer is not described/depicted, they shall instead be defined by their tentacles (if phallic, they are presumed male, if not, their sex is unknown, placing them in the "neither" category).

As I said, a lot of this is just me shooting in the dark, winging-it, so feel free to chip in or contradict me at any time. I hold no power here, so your opinion on how things should be is just as good as mine in every way.

OKay, so I had this crazy idea and thought I might post it here. I got to thinking about how this board used to have, like, a Hunger Games thing and I wanted to build upon that. Here's the premise: imagine a Hunger Games-style event with only young girls (say 6-14, give or take) but it's more like a big game of Hide-n-Seek...in a way. No one person is "IT" but it's just about whoever is the last one to be found wins, with everyone starting in separate places with no idea where anyone else is. The rules are if you're caught by someone, both of you try to get the other one to cum first, and the loser becomes the other's slave and must do whatever they say for the remainder of the game. I guess I was hoping for something that would get people from this board to make comics, and to allow others to see the comics that were made. Comics, not images but illustrated stories, they could be anything from one-shots to long-running series. The idea was basically to have some means for comic artists to show off their work, see how it ranks against other submissions in terms of popularity, and hopefully make some good money from doing it, which could be put towards not just supporting themselves, but also supporting the production of other entries. The other purpose being served is not just the inspiration for more works being made, and of higher quality than just single images, and for artists/writers to receive more attention and compensation for their craft, but it also had the advantage of making it easier for people to find the stuff they are looking for, having a bunch of different types of it in one place, and new issues being released with yet more variety from one source. Its all just like with other comics businesses, but the difference here being that these comics are of a very specific genre: First, they are all pornographic. But the problem was trying to make a competition before there’s even any actual proof that the idea has legs. It’s just not a good look. If this started out as a general showcase thing and started to build up from that into a contest, that’s one thing but nobody’s going to invest that kinda of effort into something with no history, no clear system, and, like you said, basically just “Draw shit and you win the prize of...basically having a heavy-traffic DeviantArt gallery for a while”.
