I'm just thinking that some sites aren't going to be able to scale up. however, it's going to take someone of immense willpower and ample resources to actually host an imageboard of a certain size without glowie influence. glowies worst nightmare is having an imageboard (a) tip over into a site large enough that it will snowball and (b) reaching a political consensus that is then translated into irl action. the closest political action (aside from general incfluencing) was the "It's OK to be White" campaign, or perhaps the targeting of the ISIS training camp. the IOTBW campaign I think was succesful because it maintained purity as in staying on message throughout in spite of attempts to alter the slogan. It seems impossible to reach a certain size, have admins who won't be biased while avoiding shills/jeets/glowies and other excrement. So in a way, I think 4chong dying is a major strength. Chaos has so far been the one thing that makes 4chan hard to pin down and use a coherent strategy against (though lowering board quality and fedjacketing has had effect). The chaos of anons being scattered might result in posting on multiple different sites simultaneously, where the best content survives and is spread. just like it would do on one site alone (ie. baneposting). So now the question is, what sort of thing do anons rally behind? trolling. but the question is, what is the biggest political trolling possible? making it low risk, low effort to contribute with a clear target would help
