I think there are several reasons that interact with each other: 1. Men see that women are privileged in society and that society despises men and treats them like human garbage. The idea of becoming a woman and thus getting that special, kind, privileged treatment appeals to them. Of course this isn't quite right, as trannies don't get the same treatment as real women, but they do that special leftist "oppressed class" bonus, so maybe it evens out. 2. Autistic men who have always felt uncomfortable with their bodies or identity get sold a false panacea by predatory health officials. They're tricked into thinking that their "gender identity" is the cause of their problems, and that if they can change it then they can finally be normal and fit into society. Of course they're really changing themselves into a walking freakshow. 3. Autogynephilia, or being turned on by the fantasy of being a woman. I think men can develop this from habitual porn usage. It's probably worse in weebs, because a lot of 2D porn focuses on the perspective of the woman and encourages the male viewer to self-insert as the woman. There also might be some sublimation of homosexual desires here, since if you become a woman you can have sex with a man normally, unlike if you're another man. But of course they aren't actually becoming a real woman, they're still just a man. There are probably more reasons but I think these cover the majority of it, and the reasons can all go together and exacerbate the others, creating a potent cocktail of delusion. Once you get all of this shit in your head it's probably hard to break out of it, and the entire leftist death cult is in your ear telling you that you're in the right.
