Shota Discussion Thread Anon 06/21/2021 (Mon) 12:09:15 No. 5783
Let's talk about anything related to shota here. Any shota anime and manga, novels, games, new and upcoming shota can could be discussed here. I'll start: >Do you have a favorite shota character? >What's your favorite shota anime or manga? >Any good shows/comics you're reading right now?

>>5783 >Do you have a favorite shota character? No. There are too many cute boys to choose, I just can't pick only one. From young Link, who was my first crush ever and the one who made me a shotacon, to new cute boys like Allister who check all of my boxes. I can't decide D: >What's your favorite shota anime or manga? Probably Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun (1st pic). The combination of beautiful art, adorable characters, and a sad mystery surrounding them is really great. I sincerely recommend this manga regardless of what you normally like, the art alone makes it worth checking. >Any good shows/comics you're reading right now? Besides Hanako-kun other series with shotas that I'm following are: Kemono Jihen (2nd pic) - is a standard battle shonen anime with a couple of interesting twists (like the MC being almost immortal and not knowing about standard human behavior because he worked alone in the fields during his entire life) and lots of shotabait (for example, the MC tends to get naked during fights because he continuously destroys and regenerates his body). Mairimashita! Iruma-Kun - a story about a 14yo boy named Iruma who can't say no to anything and is sold to a high demon by his parents. Said demon decides to raise him as his grandson and sends him to a demon school, so now Iruma needs to hide the fact he's human to avoid being devoured by other demons while trying to approve classes about things he doesn't know or can't do. Pokemon - I watch a couple of chapters from time to time. It's exactly the same it has been during the past 20 years, except that this time Ash's travel partner is another (cute) boy named Gou, creating a mechanic similar to Gon and Killua's, although way simpler. Duranki - Miura's (†) last creation. It's about an hermaphrodite boy/girl that secretly is the last child of the Gods. This child was raised by a couple of farmers as a regular human kid, but since s/he has divine blood s/he can communicate with the spirits of nature. As usual the publication speed is very slow, and only 6 chapters have been published, so there isn't a lot to talk about yet. Beckoning Kitty Tatamaru - This a Japanese virtual youtuber I listen to from time to time and whose fanart I collect because his design is cute as fuck. Since I don't know Japanese I'm assuming he simply talks about a variety of topics and engages in casual chat. Aside from these shota-focused series, I'm following these ones: Tensei Shitara Slime AKA Reincarnated as a slime - is an isekai manga where the MC reincarnates as an OP slime that literally eats its way into becoming the demon king of his own country. Mieruko-chan - A manga about a high school girl who one day becomes able to see all kinds of spirits, most of them horrific in nature. Now she tries her best to pretend she doesn't see them so they don't attack her (or worse). I Became the Mother of the Strongest Demon Lord's 10 Children in Another World. - Another isekai, this time about a middle school girl who is transported to a demon world with the purpose of giving birth (with magic, because this is a family friendly manga) to the demon king's 10 children. The manga focuses on her new life as the demon king's wife and inexperienced mother, and is 100% Shinzo Abe-approved. Shadows House - A manga about a female little humanoid doll that happily serves her more serious master (which looks like her except that she's pitch black and releases strange black dust all the time) despite not knowing how she ended there or why she's doing it. Is a mystery-horror manga. Creature Girls - Another isekai where a scientist is transported to a world full of "monsters" that actually are extreme evolutions of humans and other creatures (like centaurs being the evolution of conjoined twins, or slimes actually being huge hives of worms). Magic doesn't exist there, and certain forms of technology are forbidden by the universe, so now the MC needs to invent more archaic things to survive and form his desired harem (lel). Jinmen - For some reason the animals at a local safari got human faces and sapience, and now they're in a crusade against humanity. The MC used to visit the animals every day and be their friend, but now he needs to survive the carnage while figuring a way to stop it and turn the animals back to normal.
>>5783 >Do you have a favorite shota character? Hard to say. There's too many good boys out there. >What's your favorite shota anime or manga? Maybe Poco's Udon World. At that's what pops up in my head right away. >Any good shows/comics you're reading right now? Still getting through Digimon Adventure 02. Wish there was a better release out there but sub groups don't really exist anymore.

>>5789 Good selection of manga and anime, I'll have to give Marimashita! and Duranki a try sometime. I like the designs of the characters in Kemono Jihen just fine, Kabane is cute and Nobimaru is absolutely adorable, but I just couldn't bring myself to be invested in the story no matter how hard I tried. Someone described it in a review I read as an action-mystery manga that delivers on the action, but forgets the mystery part of the story. My way of describing the issue is to imagine Death Note without any of the legal-drama or exciting thrills of detective units getting information on Kira - to imagine if it were instead just scenes of some victims dying heart attack after heart attack. Maybe I'm just picky about these things, I don't know. >>5790 I really liked Poco's Udon World. I'm trying to find more shota slice-of-life stories but they really are a diamond in the rough. It can get frustrating sometimes knowing shota itself isn't as welcome as loli, so to add slice of life on top of on already niche market kind of makes things more difficult. Regardless, I'm thinking of watching Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic once I finish HunterxHunter. HxH is probably my favorite anime right now (that I'm still going through) and I've never seen a relationship so adorable and wholesome as Gon and Killua's. Every moment where they interact from supporting each other, their disagreements, to their sweet moments together really just make the show for me.

>>5790 I heard that the anime ends with Poco leaving the guy who adopted him, which in my opinion is really sad and the reason I haven't watched it. Does the manga end in the same way, or does it have a happier ending? >>5791 >I like the designs of the characters in Kemono Jihen just fine, Kabane is cute and Nobimaru is absolutely adorable Same. Kabane's ignorance on a lot of topics and his overall incredulity set up a good mood with every character he interacts with, and Nobomaru's malicious smugness make me love him no matter what he does (and he does a lot of bad things). >I just couldn't bring myself to be invested in the story no matter how hard I tried. >Someone described it in a review I read as an action-mystery manga that delivers on the action, but forgets the mystery part of the story. That review is accurate. The manga started as an action-SoL with short arcs where Kabane and the other boys (yes, the long-haired one is male, and he has a decent motive for dressing and acting like that) confront or help a mythological creature that is causing a ruckus and needs help, they get a bit stronger/smarter after dealing with the situation, and in general have a good time, but at some point it became a fully fledged "battle shonen" where the MC (Kabane) makes the promise to find some magic stones in hopes of learning about himself while the bad guys try to gather the stones for their own evil purposes. It's still entertaining, specially because every new (and old) character introduces a new and cool power, but the relaxed nature (which was a big part of the manga's charm) of the first arcs was lost in my opinion. >I'm trying to find more shota slice-of-life stories but they really are a diamond in the rough Mairimashita! Iruma-Kun is a SoL set up in a demon world, give it a try if you're looking for SoL with a shota MC. Another SoL anime is Uchi Tama (3rd pic), which pretty much is the anime equivalent of watching cute videos of kitties and puppies on YouTube. Outside of these two I don't know any anime that isn't dark and edgy (why are stories about shotas suffering so common? Why?) like Black Butler or Hanako-kun at some parts, or a battle shonen for kids like Shinkalion (4th pic), Inazuma Eleven (5th pic), Beyblade or Gundam Build Fighters.
>>5797 Don't know about the manga BUT it's not a completely sad ending as it's implied that Poco comes back at the very end.

Yeah I completely agree with you. The relaxed nature and seeing the characters grow to like each other with every other encounter or "mystery" they solve was nice and was definitely part of the charm of the manga. The art was real nice and I enjoyed that there could be darker moments but they would balance it out with sweeter moments like Akira reuniting with his lost brother. That all vanished for me as soon as I saw it becoming a generic "he's-going-to-be-the-strongest-fighter" action shounen like MHA. >Outside of these two I don't know any anime that isn't dark and edgy (why are stories about shotas suffering so common? Why?) like Black Butler or Hanako-kun at some parts Here's just my theory - granted I'm no expert in storytelling and my knowledge in the history of folklore and myth is sorely lacking. But I think the typical action/adventure shounen like HunterxHunter to shows like Naruto or Fullmetal Alchemist capture every moment of the hero's journey. And so with the hero's journey comes suffering, in some stories suffering being emotional and others being physical. In some sports or action shows it'll be tests of endurance and skill only to keep losing and having to try again, while maybe in a much darker show it's a character who has suffered a lot of abuse but is using their powers or survival skills to save the ones they love. Especially for shows targeted towards boys, suffering is part of the initiation process from boyhood to manhood, there's even initiation ceremonies throughout Africa, the Middle East, and native Australia of boys having to face violence if they wish to turn into men (you can read Robert Bly's Iron John if you're interested about this topic). I think it's an essential part of character growth in story-telling, just as long as it's not used for exploitation or an outrageous shock factor like in Made in Abyss. Because especially in those instances, you come to find out the author takes pleasure in suffering and physical abuse of shota, and you can no longer distinguish between what was supposed to be character growth in his stories, or wanting to feel aroused by his twisted fetishes. Additionally, I completely forgot about The Legend of Luo Xiaohei. I haven't gotten around to watching it yet, but it looks absolutely adorable and it'll definitely be a first on my to-watch list.

>>5801 That doesn't sound so bad. Maybe I can give it a try, but I'm undecided between watching the anime (which has color and sound) or reading the manga (which probably has more content). >>5803 I still have hopes that the manga returns to its old self after the whole ghoul stones arc ends. I want to see more of Kabane engaging in casual asburgers again and characters with goals other than to help him to reunite the stones and beat the bitch fox. >I completely forgot about The Legend of Luo Xiaohei. I haven't gotten around to watching it yet, but it looks absolutely adorable and it'll definitely be a first on my to-watch list. It really is funny and adorable, or at least the webseries I watched was. I haven't watched the movie yet, but I imagine it must be similar, although with a slightly more serious plot and better animation. Anyways, in these series Xiaohei stays as a cat all the time, but his and everyone else's charm compensate the lack of shotacats (although there are a little girl and another boy too). Is a comedy with short episodes, so you can watch it when you have nothing else to do and resume with your doings without problem. Here's a playlist with subtitled episodes if you want to watch it: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhgJ3PIAu6jXSD6EdLoLleKqdPzPsswzZ And regarding the "suffering of shotas", I wasn't really talking about "hero stories" like Naruto, HxH, MHA and similar action shows, but about how boys met with horrible fates more often than girls. It probably is the tradition of "growing into manhood through pain" of multiple cultures mixed with the old ideas of preferring the safety of women over men and men having to be rude machines without emotions, but it still pisses me off that because of these concepts there aren't many lighthearted stories featuring shotas.
>>5809 Luckily you can do both for free. Speaking of communist chinese animated shotas, if anyone here likes angry hellchild boys then I got the movie for you.

>>5810 >Luckily you can do both for free. Yes, but I'm autistic about not wanting to watch/read the same thing twice unless it's something I really like. Also I feel like that trailer spoiled the entire movie, lol
>>5811 >Also I feel like that trailer spoiled the entire movie, lol Kind of does, yes. At least the finale events. But none of the context.
>>5810 If it's one thing I can count on, it's that at least Eastern animation (and some European IIRC) can and more often than not, do deliver on a shota market even if it is pretty barren. I can't say the same for the West where the majority of "animated" films are CG-seizure-inducing spectacles with little to no value. I finished watching Luca yesterday and the character designs were just not good. Alberto (left) looks horrible, meanwhile Luca is fine - but there's definitely issues with the 3D models that 2D characters wouldn't have. Maybe I just have bias in that I think 3D shota are lifeless and boring compared to 2D shota. It could also be that most modelers can't draw, and so when they can't draw it's no wonder most of their designs end up looking like they came out of a GrubHub commercial. I don't know if anyone else saw Luca, but it was fine - nothing to write home about. If you're watching it purely for the cute moments there's plenty to see, but it's just another Pixar movie.
>>5819 Doesn't help it's a generic bean mouth cal arts style but in 3D. Rather than something actually cute that works for the medium.

(397.44 KB 2000x1545 peanutsfilm-still-c.jpg)

>>5818 fug >>5819 Just like the other anon said, the biggest problem with Luca (besides it's forgettable story) is the character design. Pixar decided to opt for imitating the infamous "calarts style" (which is totally unappealing in almost all cases) in 3D without trying to make the characters prettier (I don't mean turning them into shotabait, just not making them Steven Universe and Jimmy Newtron's bastard children) or adapting the overall movie design to a less realistic style that works better on 2D cartoons, like the Charlie Brown movie or this short also made by Pixar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrqSF2OOz_M Notice how despite having the typical exaggerated facial features, the characters look much better than on more "realistic" styles (like Soul, Pixar's worst case of "ugly styles") thanks to the use of cel-shading, plain shadows and outlines to make it look like a 2D cartoon.
>Do you have a favorite shota character? Kinda hard to pick, going by number pictures that I have for a certain character I would say it's ""Amano Keita"" from Youkai Watch. But lately I've been infatuated with ""Satoshi (Ash) and Goh"" from the new Pokemon season, it's been very refreshing seeing a boy be the main companion of Satoshi, even more when Goh has the main as I did when playing Pokemon, of completing the Pokedex, and their interactions have been very cute, and it's obvious their are doing it on purpose. >What's your favorite shota anime or manga? Favorite would be probably ""Made in Abyss"" and ""World Trigger"", first one has obvious shota bait it would be no surprise to anyone that the Tsukushi is into loli and shota (I think he never properly said it), but I think the story, characters and the setting are so great, for the second one, it could be considered as a battle-sports shounen, the power system is very intriguing and quite deep, doesn't suffer from power creep and is very well written with very tactical battles, also has Yuma, the eternal 11yo, as one of the MCs. >Any good shows/comics you're reading right now? Definitely the two I mentioned before, the only problem with them is that the original source, the manga, have unstable release schedules. If you want more of a shota-bait-esque thing you should check ""Youkai Watch"", Keita sometimes gets naked in the anime (though no real nudity, sadly), some seasons are subbed. Other one would be the "" Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion"" it's 99% about grade schooler boys riding huge robots and defeating evil and all of that, the good part is that the boys are very cute and they wear this tight bodysuits when riding their robots, the new season is currently airing, although the designs for the boys are not as good as the original, they really dialed up a notch in terms of the sexyness of the suits because they really put great effort in shading and drawing the crotch area (see 4th pic). Another good series is the manga ""Inaka ni Kaeru to Yakeni Natsuita Kasshoku Ponytail Shota ga Iru"", it's made by shotacon, and it's a SoL (this could be a good canditate for >>5791) about a cute long haired shota and his "Oni-chan", the original 1st chapter in Pixiv even has the shota's penis visible in a bath scene (see 5th pic). The 1st Volume is translated and what ould be 2nd Volume is avilable for free in Pixiv Comic >>5803 >it's not used for exploitation or an outrageous shock factor like in Made in Abyss It's wasn't done for that, from my point of view Tsukishi chose to do that to Reg deliberately to make a point of how twisted Bondrewd characters is, how despite looking and behaving like human being he is cruel for the sake of reaching his goals and doesn't see Reg as sentient being but just as unknown tool that has to disassembled to understand it.

>>5846 Protip: italic and bold text are done using single the single apostrophe (') character, not the double (") one. Italic text requires two ' on each side, while bold text require three '. Spoilers are done with two * on each side. >lately I've been infatuated with Satoshi (Ash) and Goh from the new Pokemon season, it's been very refreshing seeing a boy be the main companion of Satoshi Having a single male travel partner without any girl in a main role is an interesting change of mechanics, regardless of the (blatant) fujo pandering the anime and the new games have included. The anime now shows a male friendship that hasn't been so prominent since the days when Brock and Misty were Ash's travel partners and everyone acted more childish. Additionally, the addition of Gou has allowed to show Ash as a more capable trainer who is better at battles than in previous seasons, and who now acts like a teacher for the totally inexperienced Gou (who partially took Ash's role as the noob of the series). This change made a lot of people (mainly waifufags and shippers) angry, but I personally welcome it. That aside, you can't deny that both the producers of the anime and the writers of magazines promoting it have been having fun adding "fujobait" to fuel their fantasies (and in turn increase the franchise's sales). >Another good series is the manga Inaka ni Kaeru to Yakeni Natsuita Kasshoku Ponytail Shota ga Iru I read some chapters, but the "I can't believe this isn't a girl! Am I gay now?" joke became stale very fast. The guy gets aroused by the little boy every time he sees him, but is only when he remembers that he has a willy when lusting after him becomes wrong? I don't have the patience for this. Nice dick pic, tho. >from my point of view Tsukishi chose to do that to Reg deliberately to make a point of how twisted Bondrewd characters is I agree with this. It's implied that white whistles are supreme sick fucks who are beyond broken, so for an "researcher" like Bonerdad realizing horrible experiments on children for the sake of "science" is a fitting trait, not to mention the intrinsic sickfuckery one can do in order to survive under extreme conditions. Still, it's obvious that Tsukishi is a hardcore loli/shotacon

Do any of you have preferences for your shotas? Do you have favorite features or characteristics belonging to your shota? For me I like blonde-hair-blue-eyed shotas, especially if they're well dressed (think schoolboy uniform, sailor uniform, etc). I don't know why, but the combination of the contrasting colors with beautiful pale skin is too cute for me. For body types, I really like them all - but I guess if I were to choose a favorite it would be that "plump" body (fourth pic) that toddlers and younger shota have. Where they still have some baby fat to look cute and squishy but they're not unhealthy. There's that instinct where every time I see a properly drawn shota belly, I know they were meant for tickles, raspberries and kisses. Lastly I guess I don't have a shota age preference, they're all adorable and it's not like they become less cute as they go from ages five to 12, they just become cute for different reasons.
>Do you have a favorite shota character? I guess my absolute favorite shota would be Gohan. I think he's so adorable and innocent, and an absolute sweetheart. There's tons of others, but some would include Alphonse/Edward Elric, Len Kagamine, Oliver, (Vocaloids), Eric Cartman, Megaman etc. etc. I especially like how nip artists depict them all on twatter and pixiv. The sfw artwork is cute, and I especially love it since I hate lewding the shotas. >What's your favorite shota anime or manga? I can't name any specifically. I haven't really seen a lot of shota focused shows other than Pokemon. >Any good shows/comics you're reading right now? Not exactly shota focused but I was planning to watch Trigun sometime this week. Hanako-kun and HxH are on my backlog. >>5884 I like the classy look on shotas too, the aesthetic reminds me of a western european fantasy story book for children, where the main character is some boy going on an adventure.

>>5894 >Hanako-kun and HxH are on my backlog. I think you would really like HunterxHunter. The show has some of the most memorable, lovable shota characters that I can think of. Gon and Killua's strong, childlike friendship is the driving-force of the show as you watch an adventure series that goes through a lot of character arcs, crazy plotlines, action and drama, etc. Killua is also a very beautiful bishounen boy if that's also an interest. As far as I know there's the old show which ran 62 episodes in the 90's, but most people will refer you to the 2011 adaptation which is longer and more accurate to the manga. >I like the classy look on shotas too, the aesthetic reminds me of a western european fantasy story book for children, where the main character is some boy going on an adventure. I think there's so much room for new, fresh ideas for shota content in classical fantasy and adventure stories. Not to "subvert" the stories, but to create and/or expand on preexisting ideas like Conan or the legend of King Arthur. The classical aesthetic has always been appealing for me and seeing shota in those stories going on those adventures makes it more fun and enjoyable.
>>5908 Yeah HxH seems really interesting and the characters look adorable. I'm surprised I didn't get into it when I was younger, since I loved battle shounens back then. >I think there's so much room for new, fresh ideas for shota content in classical fantasy and adventure stories. In general the "We're traveling trough all regions" is personally very appealing and a good idea because it means that kids that watch the show can get to know more about the lore and world and don't need watch previous seasons for that (and being honest 99% of them won't do that). Obviously because they have such cute interactions in the anime I ship them, but not the degree of some cancerous fans. >>5884 >Do any of you have preferences for your shotas? Do you have favorite features or characteristics belonging to your shota? In regards to appearance, I like the brunette/brown haired boys with blue eyes, I think the combination is aesthetically pleasing, in regards to body type I could go either way as long as it's not too extreme, like too fat/skinny/ripped, in regards to age my preferred range would be 10-13, when they are in entering puberty starting to learn about naughty things. Additionally what I like the most is tan lines and when they start growing their first pubes, which also plays into why I like that age range. (1st pic is good example of it)

I just want to father a large number of shota children and give them the love and comfort I never got as a child. I want to homeschool them, play with them, teach them valuable trades and skills, see them grow up and become the men they're supposed to be. Why is the world making such fulfilling experiences near impossible to have?
>>5783 anyone know good shota manga with lewd shotas? not outright hentai but yknow
>>6310 Have you considered adopting?
>>6314 That doesn't sound like a bad idea - but I would also want a child to have the experience of being raised by both a good mother and father. If for whatever reason I end up a permavirgin for the rest of my life I guess it wouldn't hurt to try teaching or being a camp counselor. Something where I could guide kids and teach them things I never learned when I was their age.

I haven't played any vidya in a long time. What are some good games with shota characters? They don't have to be protagonists. Also are there any games that let you customize the look of your own shota?

>>6968 Bokura Wa Mahou Shounen, a manga about an energetic boy who is tricked by another one into becoming a magical girl(male) who solves problems to gain the love of people (which has various uses). He hates it at first (because the other boy promised him that he would be a superhero) but eventually starts liking to help people and beat thugs. It's a really funny manga even if at first glance it looks like trapshit. The fluffy dresses and magical girls thing are just the set up of the plot and excuses for jokes about crossdressing, and the boys never stop acting like boys or show hints of trapfaggotry (sometimes they get a bit carried away when somebody calls them cute, but it only lasts a couple of panels before resuming to the actual plot). A shame that only the first 24 chapters have been translated. Last pic has never happened in the manga, at least not in the translated chapters.

Anyone have any luck with finding shota artists to commission? I wanted to get some OCX stuff done but it's near impossibly to find any artists who appeal to me and isn't mega expensive Feels like I had more good choices years ago but they've all but vanished or stopped drawing that stuff specifically
I've got a few favorite shotas, like Young Link, Ken Amada from Persona 3, Gon and Killua, etc etc. I guess I've got a really generic entry level taste in shotas lol. I wonder if there's a Shota VN or some shit

>>7060 I love Link and the HxH boys. I don't think there's really anything wrong with "entry level" shota, they're popular for a good reason. I can't really decide between Young and Toon Link. I like OoT the most, but I really like Toon Link since he's a very expressive character and has those adorable proportions and cat eyes.
Young Link def tops Toon link in the attractiveness department for me. He's a blonde beauty with amazing legs and a lovely aura about him. In the cuteness department, Toon link is adorable with all his expressions. Gon and Killua are both adorable and sexy at the same time.
>>7060 I would consider entry level shotas to be traps and crossdressing shotas, like Astolfo or even Pico

>>7790 Yeah . Before Bendis ruined everything. Like always.
(420.92 KB 2560x1969 Bendis-is-coming-scaled.jpg)

>>7791 No idea why Bendis had to age him up, but the even shittier part is that there's tons more aged up Jon porn then Shota Jon. There's already a slim amount of DC shota porn as is.
>>7792 Which is pretty ridiculous when kid sidekicks like Robin have been a staple since the beginning.
(233.42 KB 600x450 Robin_(TNBA).png)

>>7794 DCAU Robin is up there on my list of shotas. I liked him both as Robin and Tim Drake.
>>7790 I usually don't bother reading American capeshit but Jon Kent and shota Robin are adorable, so I'll probably give it a shot.
>>7792 And as a way to put salt on the wound, DC decided to make Jon bisexual (it should have been Damian tbh) and pair him with a generic twink because killing a perfect shota x shota relationship (alienating the people who kept buying the comics just for it) wasn't enough for them. Fuck DC and fuck this world.
>>7823 It still wouldn't actually get readers in. But it would have been way cuter. Even if 10 times as controversial.
(197.49 KB 614x723 73571689_p0.png)

>>7826 True, it would have been extremely controversial, but I honestly think it would have been worthwhile to bring out such a comic, even if it was only in Japanese and Korean territory (places where a lot of Super Sons art comes from and which are more tolerant of homobait). What really bothers me is that Jon's new boyfriend seems to be the self-insert of one of the writers, and that this whole manoeuvre of making Jon bisexual was in order to make said writer's fantasy come true.
>>6796 I don't know what kind of games you mean specifically but there's some shota games on Steam labelled "bl" that can be hacked with a patch to show nude scenes. If you're talking about flash interactive games then a search of shota flash games should give you a few sites that have interactive shota sex scenes between Naruto characters for example.
I dunno if its allowed but you can always find naked shota 'manga' (doujinsha) at YaoiHavenReborn: https://p.yaoihavenreborn.com/doujinshi/?tags=Shota&tagsearchtype=all&language=ENG

>>8647 It's fujobait more than anything, with 2 of 3 of the main characters and 90% of the important cast being young boys interacting with each other. The shota vibes come from Hanako constantly making lewd jokes at everyone's expenses (see pics related), his creepy brother Tsukasa being horrifically affectionate to Hanako (to the point of creating fan theories involving rape and other forms of sexual abuse and even a small hint towards it in the anime OP), Hanako becoming part of a fake male idol group created by the manga's publisher. Personally, the "bait" comes from how Hanako, Tsukasa and many other young characters are charming on their own ways and make you feel affectionate towards them and share their pain when things go wrong (which is often). Chances are that if you start reading the manga you won't stop just to make sure Hanako and the rest stay safe or at least in one piece. The characters and their relationships with each other are the actual "bait" and hook of the manga.
There is a story that I think is somewhere on archive of our own. It’s set in like a medevial’ish setting and it’s about a young prince who gets kidnapped by his stepmother and turned into a slave essentially for like the entire kingdom, or something along those lines. I remember some details were that I had a pre-existing uncomfortableness with being naked, or letting servants wash him. Also there is a subplot about his siblings and father tryna save him. I can’t remember what it’s called, but I’m pretty sure it’s on Archive of our own. I’m not even sure if this is the kinda thing I’m supposed to post or am allowed to post here, I just figured I’d give it a shot.
