Network TV prior to about the late '80s was really pretty abysmal tbqh.
Nah you just need to watch more. The best show i've seen lately was "Mind Your Language" which started in 77.

Is the horror genre just a refuge for damaged people who have experienced trauma or loss?

No, but it is oddly therapeutic to those with PTSD. As for me I can’t strand those happyass no-trauma having faggots. Trauma strengthens, enlightens.
>>1222 checked That’s true. Bitches love horror, lol. I had a great date to Human Centipede. We giggled the whole way through while everyone else seemed stupefied, I think those yuppies missed the black humor:) Good times

I SAW IT ITS A LION ITS HUGE
>>815 Cloverfield was kind of a depressing movie. I didn't like how the main characters got killed at the end by being nuked. Reminded me of Miracle Mile in a way
>>817 It’s customary to kill off all the characters in found footage movies.

They fuckin throw people into prison cells for doing a whole lot less than what crazy ass psychopath motherfucker does
>>1216 Lawyer here. Here's the beauty of Jigsaw by allowing his victims to choose their own fates, he technically cannot be convicted of homicide. Let me clarify. Webster's dictionary defines murder as having the following elements: >1. unlawful >2. killing >3. through criminal act or omission >4. of a human >5. by another human >6. with malice afterthought Jigsaw takes advantage of a couple of different legal loopholes. In this case, it would be in regards to point 2, 3, and 6. >2. killing Jigsaw never actually "killed" any of his victims, per-say. They always had a choice. >3. through criminal act or omission

I saw a webm once in pol probably or gif where a bunch of ugly pajeets had a temple with shrines dedicated to rats. it was filthy and putrid inside with dirty fuckin rats crawling all over the place and the pajeets feeding them traditional slop cuisine.

>>840 I'll headcanon my own Zach lore. Zach was some kind of mythical being, not unlike that of a jackalope. He/it was friends with some lonely, desperate anon who wanted a /tv/ board of his own, but the board did nothing for a long while, until one day a much more popular website shit itself, and a few anons from there migrated here, only for Zach and his anon to be long gone, most likely dead.
>>1066 Like exploring a new star system and finding the ruins of an alien civilization, long gone. All that remains are inscriptions, the meaning of which are lost.
>>840 Former /tv/ regular with an unhealthy obsession with a certain actress from the Harry Potter flicks. Now that some time has passed, I can admit he was nowhere near as bad as the current shitposters.

Why didn't you all mention how great this series was? Believe it or not, somehow managed to never hear a single thing about this series beyond the SnapeDumbledore meme from way back when on 00's internet. Always thought it was some young kids or chick thing. Read all the books over the past year and just finished watching the movies. Despite being in my late 30's, this series was truly entertaining and there will be a Hogwarts shaped hole in my heart for the rest of my life. Will miss these characters like you would not believe. What was up with the cinematography for Order of the Phoenix and Deathly Hallows Part 1? Felt like these two movies were trading off teams. The scene compositions weren't nearly as beautiful as Goblet of Fire and Half Blood Prince. Was warned about the visual jump from Chamber of Secrets to Prisoner of Azkaban, but something felt off with the final 4 movies. Like there was an A and B team passing the baton.
Also, forgot to mention. Really wish I hadn't spent so much time and energy invested in Star Wars back during HP's run. Prequels were... yeah. And the shit show that evolved from the Disney sale completely soured the IP. Now to figure out what 20+ year hidden gems to seek.
