This is why AEW is so tragic. For years fans wanted a big budget alternative to WWE. The stars finally aligned and we got AEW, bankrolled by Tony Khan and packed full of talent, new and old, indie guys and veterans of promotions. Combine that with WWE having some dogshit TV in 2019 and AEW did pretty well for itself. Sadly too many things went wrong and AEW deteriorated to the point that they are just TNA 2.0 now while WWE is thriving.

Danielson is my GOAT but Sting is undeniable. The man made no-selling a signature move that never got stale, he made the switch from Surfer to Crow extremely smoothly, he gave a shit even during WCW & TNA's most fucked up days, and in his last years he decided to finally start punching his bump card and go crazy in AEW. His retirement match was probably last year's MOTY and arguably the best retirement match ever.
