>>140235 They've been doing this for a while now, I think since 2017 or 2018, when PPVs became co-branded again. I still don't understand it though. AJ Styles had a year long WWE Title reign but he barely main evented any shows. Some of it was because Lesnar was on it as the Universal champ, but even on the shows he wasn't there, AJ was tossed in the middle of the show with other people in the main event. The IC and US belts are as worthless as ever, despite some main event level guys holding it. Honestly I don't get WWE match placements anymore, basically do whatever they want, even on RAW/SD the scene is all wack, on any given day, anyone is in the main event.
>>140023 Triple H v. Batista Would of been a better match if batista was in wrestling shape but he gassed out in 4 minutes. Kofi winning saw that coming a mile away. I think triple H regrets the booker T thing and wrote this story to make up for it(pathetic) >Also, the fact the WWE actually managed to make Kurt's retirement match happen with a completely dead crowd… it's almost impressive. But why? Corbin has no future in the company. Why make him win? My mind melted during this entire ordeal. It was probably Vince's idea because he's still salty as fuck that Kurt left in 2006. They also did the typical shit. They let this guy easily kick out of the angle slam….. they let him get out of the ankle lock and he walked off and no sold everything angle did. Angle jobs to this fuck after missing his moonsault that I actually bolieved they were going to let him do for once(they didn't) so then he gets on the mic and honestly I think it was poetry "Yes I do suck" I bolieve when he said this he was just thinking in his mind. "My country has gone to shit I'm mr USA an actual olympic gold medalist wrestler and I dedicated my life to this business which turned to shit and I let it bury me yes indeed I do suck FUCK THIS PLACE"
>>140235 The titles have been cheapened since the mid 2000s. The amount of top tier title switches during that era was just sheer retardation. I mean say anything you want about triple H's reign of terror but at least the title meant something then.

Wrestlemanias of the decade Boliever 04/08/2019 (Mon) 12:26:45 Id: 8c8fc9 No. 140049 [Reply]
So WM35 was the last one of the decade, and it's been a rather shit decade, I think only one or two of them were decently good, none were really 'great', say like WM20-24. Man RA era had the best Manias. Anyway thoughts on each of them? >WM26 To me, the last decently good Mania, though mostly carried by the main event: HBK vs Taker which easily is one of WWE's matches of the decade. Can't really remember much else from it, looking at the card again and nothing much stands out aside from Legacy triple threat, Jericho vs Edge and Cena vs Batista, all were decent I guess. >WM27 Man this was a shit one and was the beginning of the end for me in my belief in WWE. Notably, was Edge's last match, which was a decent one against Del Rio who won the 40 man Rumble to appear in the FIRST match of Mania, some main event huh? Funny that Rollins this year did the same thing now. Cody vs Mysterio was ok, too bad Cody got buried later the year. Cole beating Lawler is still one of the most bullshit things in WWE history. MOTN was HHH vs Undertaker for me, a 4/10 according to bret hart but a great match for me. The main event of Miz vs Cena was shit, Amazing to see that Miz has improved a lot since then, if he main evented WM as he is now, would be more believable than back then I suppose. Anyway it was just a lame setup for Rock vs Cena next year >WM28 Pretty lame one and the HIAC match with Taker vs HHH was great, another WWE Match of the decade contender for me. CM Punk vs Jericho was alright. The Rock vs Cena was overhyped and sucked but good that Rock won, too bad it led to twice in a lifetime in WM29. However I stopped watching WWE later that year, got too shit for me, interesting because that era was still better than today's trash. Skipped Wrestlemanias 29, 30 and 31. WM29, seems like Punk vs Taker was the only good match. WM30, year of the YES movement. WM31, everywhere else I see people praise it as a great Mania but here on /wooo/ I hear it was shit, anyway whatever. Also WM31 began the Romanmania arc >WM32 The year I came back into wrestling, and I get gifted with one of the shittiest Manias ever! Thanks Vince. Zack winning the IC title was the most memorable thing about it. There were some decent moments but all overshadowed with the fact that all the wrong people won. Skipped the main event because it got too late and wasn't interested in watching RomanWinsLol. MOTN was Styles vs Jericho for me. >WM33

What was you MOTN for NXT? I'd say WALTER
How the fuck do you watch that faceberg thing they were talking about?
>>137749 Yep, mine too. What's strange is that WWE main roster matches feel too damn slow and sluggish, whereas NXT TakeOver matches here feel way too fast, barely any pauses at all, at least it was so in the first two matches, it was kinda exhausting watching it. Also all the matches felt way longer than it could have gone. The UK Championship was great though, I liked it especially since compared to the first two matches they didn't start and go out at a 100 miles per hour right off the bat. Chuckled at the commentators saying it was a slow start, heck that kinda start is pretty averaged paced, but the first two matches was such a rush it may have seemed slow. Anyway, my MOTN, also didn't overdo near falls as much as the main event. Main event was long as fuck, decently paced maybe but these guys fucking no sell so much shit I really can't take much of them seriously.

>>137529 The physical composition of Kenny Omega is like a hybrid of every smark's dream rolled into one package. Brian Pillman's body and hair, Scott Hall's facial expressions and sekrit club founding, RVD's poses, Bret Hart's colors (in that pic at least) and fighting ability, and Jerry Lynn's move knowledge. Like this is the guy if you'd asked PWI 20 years ago on what their ideal wrestler would be, except Omega is real.
(80.64 KB 607x521 ClipboardImage.png)

>>137560 Yeah I realized it a while ago that Kenny Omega is a smark's wet dream come true. Even Omega's persona is very smarkish: doesn't care about heel/babyface and just does whatever he wants, does a lot of flashy and dangerous moves, cares a lot about Meltzer stars and prides on the fact that he's a top rated wrestler etc.
>>137560 That's hilarious because I was actually comparing him to jerry lynn a while back. I just said wow this omega guy is basically what happens when you jerry lynn wasn't born a manlet and had charisma.

WWE March 2019 Megathread:Batista's Back edition Boliever 03/01/2019 (Fri) 23:33:42 Id: dc9c61 No. 135704 [Reply] [Last]
Time for Fastlane baby! Animalistic aggression >After seemingly trying to goad Triple H into a physical confrontation on SmackDown 1000 last year, Batista provoked The Game once more this past Monday night by crashing Ric Flair’s 70th birthday, attacking “The Nature Boy” in his locker room and dragging Flair — Triple H’s mentor — out into the arena hallway. >The Cerebral Assassin rushed backstage to confront The Animal, but Batista had already left the scene. The Game isn’t known for letting transgressions slide, so how will he deal with the actions of his former friend on Raw? What is the status of the Raw Women’s Championship? >In addition to addressing the horrific actions of Batista, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have another situation escalating in the Raw Women’s division. After Stone Cold was arrested for violating her suspension this past Monday night, Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey urged Stephanie to allow The Man to challenge for the title at WrestleMania. The Chief Brand Officer then reiterated that Lynch would not be competing at The Show of Shows, and that The Baddest Woman on the Planet would defend her title against SmackDown LIVE’s Charlotte Flair as scheduled. >Given the McMahon family’s refusal to budge on the Lynch situation, Rousey laid the title down in front of Stephanie and left it there, leaving many to wonder if The Rowdy One would carry the championship to WrestleMania at all. >Meanwhile, Charlotte announced on SmackDown LIVE this week that she would come to Raw to be crowned Raw Women’s Champion by Mr. McMahon. Will The Queen claim the throne on Team Red? Is a Shield reunion on the horizon? >After revealing to the WWE Universe that his leukemia is in remission, Roman Reigns joined Seth Rollins in helping Dean Ambrose repel a 4-on-1 beatdown at the hands of Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, Elias and Baron Corbin. The act of salvation confused The Lunatic Fringe just as much as it did the WWE Universe given Ambrose’s betrayal of The Shield last October — the same night The [LOUD LEUKEMIA] disclosed that his leukemia had returned. >Were Reigns and Rollins hinting that they’re ready to forgive Ambrose, or were The Hounds of Justice simply living up to their name given the unfair circumstances? Intercontinental and Extraordinary >After Lio Rush inadvertently challenged Finn Bálor to an Intercontinental Championship Match and lost this past Monday night, Bobby Lashley was furious with his hype man for getting the title opportunity that he was supposed to arrange for “The All Mighty One.” The Man of the Hour affirmed to Lashley that he could still be trusted. Will Rush get Lashley another opportunity, or will another Superstar step to the Intercontinental Irishman?

RAW on April Fools Day Can WrestleMania’s main-event Superstars coexist against The riotttttttttt Squad? >The journey to the main event of this year’s WrestleMania main event has grown increasingly complicated in recent weeks, and it hits another sharp turn on Monday night when Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey teams with Stone Cold and new SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair to battle The riotttttttttt Squad in a six-woman tag team bout. If Rousey, Lynch or Flair betray either of their teammates, they will be removed from the Raw Women’s Title main event of this year’s Show of Shows. >And, yes, you read that right. The Queen defeated Asuka this past Tuesday night to snare the Women’s Title of Team Blue, meaning that she could very well hold two championships when WrestleMania draws to a close. Of course, that match could change drastically — and lose a participant — on Raw. >With tensions running high, Becky, Ronda and Charlotte will be hard-pressed to work as a team and secure their place in the first-ever Women’s main event of WrestleMania. Kurt Angle battles Rey Mysterio in his final Raw match >Two Superstars credited with putting SmackDown on the map in the early 2000s will battle it out one last time, strangely enough, on Monday Night Raw as Kurt Angle faces Rey Mysterio in the final Raw match of his farewell tour. >The Olympic Hero and The Ultimate Underdog have mixed it up numerous times in the past — including a memorable clash at SummerSlam 2002 — but their final match together on Raw could eclipse their prior confrontations in terms of sheer emotion. >This will mark Angle’s penultimate match, as he will compete in the ring for one last time against Baron Corbin at WrestleMania. As Angle battles his longtime friend, the bitter Lone Wolf will surely be watching. Brock Lesnar comes to Raw to extinguish Seth Rollins’ fire >Seth Rollins laid out Paul Heyman this past Monday night, and he didn’t even need to touch him. >After the advocate for Universal Champion Brock Lesnar delivered what he thought was a verbal parting shot to “The Beastslayer,” Rollins stormed up the entrance ramp after Heyman, who fell backward in shock and proceeded to beg for mercy from his client’s WrestleMania challenger. With fire in his eyes and the WWE Universe at his back, Rollins affirmed, “We are going to WrestleMania, we are gonna beat Brock Lesnar, we are gonna take the Universal Title and we are gonna march into Suplex City and we are gonna burn it down!” >How will Lesnar respond to the increasingly emboldened Architect, six nights before their WrestleMania showdown? Will The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection regret taking on three teams at WrestleMania? >WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Booley & Sasha Banks are warriors, determined to take on any challenger from any brand. But at WrestleMania, The booable one and The Boss have agreed to defend their titles against three powerful teams in Nia Jax & Tamina, Beth Phoenix & Natalya and The IIconics. >With “The Samoan Slaughterhouse” and the newly reunited “Divas of Doom” representing imposing physical challenges for The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection, the conniving (and rule-bending) Billie Kay & Peyton Royce represent a psychological obstacle for Booley & Sasha Banks. After all, no one enjoys getting inside the head or under the skin of their opponents quite like The IIconics. >How are Booley & Sasha Banks preparing for the Fatal 4-Way Match they’ve brought upon themselves?
