BANNER THREAD Boliever 08/30/2017 (Wed) 04:35:48 Id: 7f03fa No. 76118 [Reply] [Last]
>why don't we have banner thread f-fucking mods >n-no I w-won't make the thread I want myself Come on NERDs, let's get some new banners added to the rotation. GLOBAL BANNER RULES 1. You may upload up to 300 banners to your board; 2. Banners must not exceed 500 KB (that is, 512,000 bytes); 3. Only the following file types are allowed: jpeg; jpg; png; gif. 4. Banners must be exactly 300px wide and 100px high. /wooo/ SPECIFIC BANNER GUIDELINES 1. Try to crop to the banner aspect ratio instead of squashing it like it's Curtis Hawkins. Makes it look a lot better. 2. 8ch infinity logo and /wooo/ "watermarks" not required, but are good.

>>133520 >Kushida/Tana singles match isnt even going to be on one of the big USA shows >Gonna have to watch a bunch of nips cry in korakuen theyre probably going to be getting the kenny goodbye match whatever that might be feeling some shades of 2016 or whenever aj and nak left

>>133525 >feeling some shades of 2016 or whenever aj and nak left Sure feels like that, but back then, Naito and Omega easily managed to replace Nakamura and Styles respectively so it didn't hurt things in the long run, more of a benefit really. Right now there aren't any real replacements for Kushida and Jay White is still growing into his role, still a long way to go to reach Omega/Styles' levels. NJPW will still do fine but for now, really feels like a lot has been lost. >>133527 Card is filled with Shibata's young lions, almost looks like a Lion's Gate card. Juice vs Beretta seems to be the biggest match. Great-O-Kharm is there on the last two days, haven't really seen Oka since his excursion so it will be good to see him. Also he's only Japanese wrestler in the entire tour, yikes.

Christmas comes early Edition Corbin closes in on General Manager position >Channeling his inner Thanos, “General Manager-Elect” Baron Corbin seems determined to reduce half the Raw roster to dust under his authoritative rule. With the aid of Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre this past Monday night, Corbin masterminded the obliteration of Elias and the brutalizing of Finn Bálor, all while relishing the fact that Braun Strowman was undergoing elbow surgery to repair the damage he and his henchmen inflicted one week prior. >Refusing to cancel his scheduled Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match against The Monster Among Men — who is medically unable to compete — Corbin aims to win the match via forfeit and, per the match stipulation, become permanent General Manager of Team Red. >With Commissioner Stephanie McMahon seemingly allowing The Lone Wolf to do as he pleases, how will Corbin take advantage of his nigh limitless power this week? Inoculated Ambrose promises he’ll be at Raw >After receiving a series of vaccinations to protect him from the “diseases” of the WWE Universe, Dean Ambrose has affirmed he will be at Monday Night Raw in Houston, two weeks before battling former Shield brother Seth Rollins for the Intercontinental Championship at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs. >When The Lunatic Fringe actually appears, The Kingslayer will be ready with some medicine of his own for his onetime ally. The Goddess’ new gig >Following Alexa Bliss’ successful tenure as Captain of the Raw Women’s Survivor Series Team, Raw “General Manager-Elect” Baron Corbin put Little Miss Bliss in charge of the Women’s division — a role she’s clearly relishing. >After luring Sasha Banks and Booley into a confrontational in-ring Q&A session, Bliss looked on as Alicia Fox, Dana Brooke and Mickie James ambushed The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection. Even though The Boss and The booable one repelled the attack, Alexa set the tone for what to expect under her watch. Rousey teams with The Queen of Harts to face Nia Jax and Tamina >One week after Nia Jax and Tamina set a riotttttttttt Squad trap for Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey and Natalya, The Baddest Woman on the Planet teams up with The Queen of Harts to battle The Irresistible Force and her imposing enforcer in tag team action on Raw in Houston.

John Cena returns to kick off 2019 >What better way to kick off the new year than with John Cena? >One of “Mr. McMahon-ta Claus’s” gifts to the WWE Universe on the Christmas Eve edition of Raw was the return of the 16-time World Champion, to both the red and blue brands. Cena’s first appearance will come on the New Year’s Day edition of SmackDown LIVE. As Team Blue gets ready to kick off 2019, how will the presence of one of the greatest Superstars in WWE history effect things? Don't miss The New Day's New Year's Celebration >It wouldn’t be New Year’s Day with out a celebration. Thankfully, The New Day is here to throw a party worthy of 2019. >There’s sure to be plenty of pancakes at The New Day’s New Year Celebration, but what else will Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods & Big E have planned for the WWE Universe? What will be the fallout of AJ Styles’ attack of Mr. McMahon? >On Christmas night, Mr. McMahon demanded to see the animal inside AJ Styles, wanting to know who the “real” AJ Styels is. Mr. McMahon went so far as to slap The Phenomenal One after questioning why Styles was letting others compete in the house he built. >The WWE Chairman got his wish, as Styles floored Mr. McMahon with a right hand before letting out a primal rage. As officials checked on him, Mr. McMahon said he was OK, as a smile crept across his face. >Why did Mr. McMahon choose to enrage AJ Styles? Will there be any fallout for The Phenomenal One’s attack on the WWE Chairman? What’s next for The Miz & Shane McMahon? >The Miz made an impassioned plea to Shane McMahon on a Christmas night edition of “Miz TV,” one last time asking Shane-O-Mac to join forces with him to be come “the best tag team in the world.” >The A-Lister’s passionate speech apparently connected with Shane, as he agreed to team up with Miz, though he gave him one warning: “You better not screw me, or there’s going to be major consequences.” >Now that the “co-besties” are officially teaming up, what’s next for this brand-new tag team? How will Rusev's reign as United States Champion begin? >Last week was a Merry Christmas and the happiest Rusev Day, as The Bulgarian Brute defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to win the United States Championship. How will Rusev celebrate this momentous occasion?

This was a very boring PPV. I mean nothing was really that bad or insulting but just very boring. I guess Orton vs Mysterio was alright, I don't know how but Mysterio still is great and I'm always amazed at how fluid and natural he makes his wrestling style look like, whereas every other flippy faggot that may have been inspired by him always fail to make it look as natural as Mysterio does.

To Dismember Edition The Monster Among Men on the warpath >Before the Universal Championship Match at WWE Crown Jewel got underway, Baron Corbin drilled Braun Strowman in the back with the title, giving Brock Lesnar the early advantage. With a relentless succession of F-5s, The Beast Incarnate kept The Monster Among Men down for the three-count, becoming WWE’s first two-time Universal Champion. >Corbin had best keep his distance on Raw: Strowman will be looking for him to “Get These Hands.” Ronda Rousey to respond to Stone Cold's Survivor Series promise to rip her arm off >Raw is preparing to go head-to-head with SmackDown at Survivor Series in Los Angeles on Sunday, Nov. 16, and we already know that Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and WWE Champion AJ Styles will square off, Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey will face SmackDown Women’s Champion Stone Cold, while Raw’s Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins will clash with Team Blue’s United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura at WWE’s annual fall classic. >As the WWE Universe wait to see what other blockbuster matches await at the fall classic, WWE.com has learned that Rousey will speak to Lynch's promise that she will rip her opponent's arm off. What The Baddest Women on the Planet respond? Natalya, Sasha Banks & Booley to battle The riotttttttttt Squad in an WWE Evolution rematch >Two nights in a row this past week, The riotttttttttt Squad tasted bitter defeat. First, the tumultuous trio fell to Natalya, Sasha Banks & Booley in a Six-Woman Tag Team Match at WWE Evolution. Then, teaming with Alicia Fox & Mickie James, they lost again to a five-woman squad comprised of their Evolution foes and WWE Hall of Famers Trish Stratus & Lita. >Ruby riotttttttttt, Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan don’t take losing lightly, and they’ll surely be out for payback on Raw in Manchester, England. Find out if they get it when they battle The Queen of Harts, The Boss and WWE's favorite huggable Superstar in an Evolution rematch tonight. Rollins and Ambrose are still Raw Tag Team Champions >Seth Rollins has vowed to make Dean Ambrose’s life a “living hell” after he refused to explain his shocking Oct. 22 betrayal. Further complicating the issue is the fact that The Kingslayer and The Lunatic Fringe are the current co-holders of the Raw Tag Team Titles. >Since it seems unlikely that Rollins and Ambrose will function as a unit at any point in the near future — or ever again — what does the future hold for Team Red’s tandem championship?

Hide your kids Edition Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. WWE Champion Daniel Bryan >The Beast is about to go one-on-one with Daniel Bryan in an epic Champion vs. Champion clash on the one night of the year where Raw and SmackDown go head-to-head to determine ultimate brand supremacy, Survivor Series. >At WWE Crown Jewel, Brock Lesnar once again laid claim to the Universal Championship in controversial fashion, using a pre-match sneak attack by Acting Raw General Manager Baron Corbin to lay waste to Braun Strowman. On the same night, The Phenomenal One overcame his long-standing adversary Samoa Joe to keep the WWE Title around his waist. However, while a Survivor Series rematch between Lesnar and Styles was originally announced, an intense altercation between The Champ That Runs the Camp and WWE’s “Yes!” Man on the Nov. 13 edition of SmackDown LIVE led to an impromptu WWE Title Match. And when Bryan emerged victorious over Styles to become the new titleholder in the classic showdown, The Beard also won the right to face The Conqueror this Sunday! >Now, the fates have conspired and set these two dynamic athletes on a collision course. What will happen when Lesnar goes to battle against Bryan in WWE’s fall classic? Find out at Survivor Series this Sunday at 7 ET/4 PT, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network! Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair >The Baddest Woman on the Planet is about to square off against The Queen when Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey goes to war against Charlotte Flair at Survivor Series. >Originally, Rousey was slated to slug it out with SmackDown Women’s Champion Stone Cold, but plans changed when The Irish Lass Kicker suffered a BROKEN face and severe concussion during the blue brand’s surprise assault on Monday Night Raw, and she wasn’t medically cleared to compete. The Man herself emerged before the WWE Universe to pick her replacement, and she chose her bitter rival, Charlotte Flair. >Now, the two forces of nature will join the battle for brand supremacy in a highly personal showdown. Find out which competitor claims a monumental victory for her brand on the one night of the year where Raw and SmackDown LIVE Superstars compete in head-to-head competition. Don’t miss Survivor Series, Sunday, Nov. 18, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network. Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins vs. United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura >Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins faces off against United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura in what promises to be an instant classic at Survivor Series, the one night a year when Raw and SmackDown LIVE compete in head-to-head competition. >Not only will this mark the first encounter between The Kingslayer and The King of Strong Style, but the battle will also determine which brand and which champion truly reign supreme. Since recapturing the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam, Seth Rollins has been hellbent on restoring the prestige behind the “workhorse title.” Over on the blue brand, Nakamura has been busy ushering in a new era for the prestigious star-spangled title. >Although each champion represents the best of the best on his brand, who reps their brand the strongest? Find out when this Champion vs. Champion non-title bout goes down at Survivor Series, Sunday, Nov. 18, at 7 ET/4 PT, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network.

>>131008 Well my hopes were dashed. Is Nakamura doomed to being booked with slow matches or is that just how he is now? Heck actually AJ Styles' matches other than the Bryan matches were the same now. Also I said that Seth seems to be the only one allowed to have good matches but I forgot that Bryan seems to be so too. I don't really get why he is booked so strongly, especially with all his controversial booking prior to his injury. I guess they really don't want to give him any reason to leave? Well whatever. Have to say it again, Brock is the best seller out there limping off the stage and all. Whole roster should follow things like that, I especially hope Ronda did, normally she's good at selling too but walking off the stage like she did after a hellish beatdown wasn't good enough.

>>130662 The IC and world title match are great, but the rest of it is a fucking slog, The main event botch is really funny but it wasn't that great of a match before it anyways. I don't think it should be shit rank (not OP) and it's definitely better than IX.
>>130663 >>130654 VI had Warrior vs. Hogan, and should have ideally been the match/PPV that kickstarted the New Generation. Everyone liked that match, even the diehard smarks with a burning eternal hatred for the Hulkster. You saw Demolition go against the tag-team of Haku and Andre. Mr. Perfect lost for the first time. The Harts went up against the Russkies. It was the perfect WM to end the Golden Era on, and yet they kept up the charade for the next 2 - 3 years anyway. VII had none of that. It was the last time Savage ever wrestled for WWF since Vinny K was in a period of retiring anyone over the age of 35, including Hogan (hence why he left 2 years later), LOD disposed of what were basically a jobber tag team, and the main event didn't really lead to anything since the Gulf War caused Slaughter to go dangerously near-irreparable levels of heat and he wisely pussied out. VIII had a mega botched ending between Hogan and Sid during a match that had little consequence. That, and the roster was gutted due to Zahorian's steroid scandal. It also happened at a point where even the markiest of marks had grown tired over the Hulkamania-era stars. 2 great matches out of 11 does not a great PPV make. IX I'm just indifferent towards. Undertaker vs. Giant Gonzales was awful, as were the two Heavyweight title bouts can you really call 22 seconds a bout? but the rest was alright. The non-wrestler gimmicks were pretty bad, shoehorning all that Roman shit in there, but who really gives a fuck about what happens outside of the ring? Maybe I'd be tempted to switch IX and VII, but that's about it.
>>130664 >It was the last time Savage ever wrestled for WWF no it wasn't. he came back like 6 months later for an unforgettable feud with Jake. remember when Jake slapped Elizabeth at Tuesday in Texas and it got him NUCLEAR fucking heat?
