>Talk about bouncers.
This thread piqued my interest. While I’m not an AB by any means—aside from using a sippy cup at night for practicality, so I don’t spill the water I keep on my nightstand—I find the concept of lounging in a bouncer intriguing. A reclining model with a massage feature? I’d never want to leave it! Picture me watching Sunday night football in a diaper—my wife would have to wake me up on Monday morning lol.
During a quick search, I came across a few interesting products:
• Fisher-Price Bouncers: These seem more like a marketing gimmick. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re now collecting dust in a closet or have been tossed out. (www.famouscampaigns.com/2013/02/giant-baby-bouncer)
• Upzdaisy: This is a commercial product from Sweden that offers international shipping. (upzdaisy.com)
• BabyBjorn Bouncers: They also appear to be marketing-focused, but I didn’t find much detailed information. My search was brief; I found the images on Flickr. (www.flickr.com/photos/soybeanqueen/2851974211/in/photostream & www.flickr.com/photos/93507129@N08/8495672889/in/photostream/lightbox)
• Red Chairs Similar to BabyBjorn: Someone mentioned that their college had chairs like these in their student lounge, priced at $3,000 each. The discussion took place on Reddit. (www.reddit.com/r/NewParents/comments/vpsqnu/anybody_know_of_a_company_that_makes_a_baby_bjorn)
• DIY Adult Bouncer: One person got envious of his daughter’s bouncer and decided to create one that could support his larger frame. (johnmalecki.com/blogs/projects/i-build-an-adult-baby-bouncer)
These options are quite fascinating and have sparked some ideas for me. I wonder if a lightweight DOM tubing could be utilized for the frame, possibly in aluminum? It would need to support up to 500 kg to ensure it remains stable under heavy loads (like me, my wife, and the grands bouncing, or just me and the wife :D :D :D ).
Adding a massage feature would elevate the experience. Imagine watching a game or a movie while relaxing in a bouncy chair with a massage—what a perfect afternoon!
