InZoi (Korean Sims) Anonymous 03/19/2025 (Wed) 02:34:25 Id: 867f58 No. 1080725
InZoi thread since it's somehow the only game I'm currently excited about. Basically it's The Sims, but Korean. Looks to be much better than anything EA has done with The Sims in years. >City builder >Life sim >Mod support >Non-ugly character creator >Can drive around city >3 cities so far: USA, Indonesia and Korea (no grorious nippon) <Optional Jewvidia powered 'Smart Zoi' AI Character creator and construction demo releasing on the March 20th. Game releasing on March 28th. Steam page https://store.steampowered.com/app/2456740/inZOI/ Website https://krafton.com/en/games/inzoi/ Jewtube https://www.youtube.com/@PlayinZOI/videos
>>1465317 markov chains have been a thing for decades are good enough to create unique interaction for npcs, LLMs are too stupidly complex for such a simple task and would just be a waste of processing power
>>1465004 >>1465275 Alright, tested it and it seems it runs offline as well. I can't tell how major the effects are to gameplay as both of the households I tested had two unrelated Zois that I used SmartZoi prompts to make them interested in each other and their sociability may have been simply because there were no other Zois around. I'll have to test it more. Still, it's nice to at least be able to see their inner thoughts and have it seem like their actions are following some level of logic. It's one aspect that I think the Sims 4 lacks.
>>1465245 > I wonder what they based this decision on. If I'm remembering correctly, at first Inzoi only had male and female options in the character creator. Then after a few people complained, that paper and pen icon was added, where you can choose some other kind of identity. It could be that those in charge saw angry potential fans and didn't want any bad press circulating social media, so they caved to the loud minority. Of course, as an international company, they don't really understand how small a number of people were actually upset. They just saw users angry about the game and wanted to please them. Plus, they could be ignorantly believing that they are promoting kindness by doing this, and of course as a company they want to appear kind.
>>1466279 Part of it is likely that they're hoping to get the Sims audience and Sims players are already used to this kind of shit in their games. If they'd said no to adding those options, that combined with the shitflinging people did over AI in the game could've tanked sales, even if only a few people were mad.
>>1466150 >Alright, tested it and it seems it runs offline as well. Holy hell. That's great. I don't mind if it's just little things. If I can type something as simple as "You are attracted to [Zoi name]" or "You like surfing" and have an NPC actively go out of its way to engage in those interactions, that's huge.
>>1463858 I'm ok with lesbians, but any Zois I see with gender identity bullshit are going in the hunger-bunker. More interested in knowing if the modkit
>>1466279 >>1468375 it doesn't really matter anyway, if it's like the sims troons will only appear if you actively create some
>>1469989 Funny you say that- there was minor controversy when the game launched because all the default Zois were straight and people were upset that they had to create gay Zois rather than being able to romance any NPC they wanted. They freaked out and tried to say it was on purpose and the devs had to make an apology for it. But as far as I can tell, they didn't change anything, even with the recent patches.
>>1470009 >They freaked out and tried to say it was on purpose Of course it was. Faggots don't exist unless they're tortured into existence.
>>1468557 So, how is the modkid?

A few days ago, more information was announced regarding the upcoming DLC for the game: Island Getaway. It will be launching on August 20th @ 6AM UTC and will be free DLC for all players. https://archive.ph/Ss7Mx They've also launched a webpage with all sorts of info about the DLC: https://cahaya.playinzoi.com/ https://archive.ph/068Wr The archive doesn't work too well It seems like the main goal of the DLC is to capture the feeling of two sides of tropical life on Cahaya. On the Main Island, the focus will be on work and daily tasks like going to the market, fishing, mining, and farming. On the Resort Island, the focus will be more on pure relaxation and fun with things like the spa, swimming, and even a cat temple. On August 15th 1AM UTC, there will be an official livestream where InZOI devs will show off the DLC and provide commentary. https://archive.ph/6OQge If you watch the livestream, you get codes for some in-game items: Cahaya Summer Beach Chair, Cahaya Summer Rug, Cahaya Summer Campfire. If you watch certain livestreams from August 15th to the 24th, you can get codes for an in-game Cahaya Summer Shirt and a Cahaya Summer Straw Hat. From August 20th to September 7th, if you do one of three special missions in the DLC and take a screenshot as proof, you can upload it for a chance to win some real life items. 80 people will win a Cahaya Summer Shirt and Magnet Set. 8 people will win a custom PC. And all participants will get a code for an in-game Cahaya Summer Cooler. And it looks like InZOI will be at Gamescom as well. If you go to their booth and play the Cahaya map demo, you will get codes for in-game items: Cahaya Luggage Tag and Zoi Card. What do you anons think of all of this? What do you think of the Cahaya website?
>>1647819 Looks cool I guess. I don't get the idea of launching this as DLC though.
>>1648099 The idea is money
>>1648656 It's free but okay.
>>1648099 >>1648656 I was about to reply asking what the alternative would be to DLC when I realized exactly why Krafton is calling this DLC. This Island Getaway could easily be called a "major update" to the game. It's free to everyone, all you have to do is buy inZOI and then download the Cahaya content. The reason it is officially called DLC is to contrast inZOI with The Sims. Everyone is aware of Sims 4's insanely expensive DLC that, according to official statements, is even stopping EA from making The Sims 5. EA has even gone as far as to name some of this DLC something different like "Stuff Packs" to try and make it seem less ridiculous. Then inZOI comes along with its own tropical themed content and also labels it as DLC, but its free. Think of how this makes Krafton look compared to EA.
>>1492612 More specifically, how have the sex mods come along, particularly since you can literally upload your own motion captured animations–made on the fly–into the game?
>>1647819 Here is a recording of the livestream that happened on the 15th of this month: https://inv.nadeko.net/watch?v=wsxWKAqyrDI (Nothing really happens until about 12 minutes into the video, by the way) Also, it was announced on August 13th that inZOI would be coming to PS5 in 2026. The team hasn't decided if there will be an Xbox version yet. https://archive.ph/GjlyU >inZOI is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5 (PS5) in 2026. >An Xbox release is also under consideration, but has not yet been confirmed. >Our team is working hard to deliver the best possible experience for PS5 players. The official release date and additional details will be shared at a later time. They have also opened an inZOI online forum: https://archive.ph/QzmRg
What are the cunny mods like?
>>1695870 Slanted from my understanding.
I have this game on my radar just because it's Korean Sims and Koreans are fucking freaks so I have high hopes for the modding scene. I was always lazy to mod Skyrim into coomer garbage but this give me some more hope.
So, it's been a while I've heard anything about the game. How is it? Does it already have kinky mods?
>>1717351 It's dead Jim, RIP
I want to see some naked teen Zois.
>>1729812 Yeah, I'm surprised we haven't seen that and lower posted here yet…
>>1717351 Interest in this game seemed to die so quick, guess it was a pretty shitty early access attempt at replacing the sims with "ai" being the only selling point they leaned on
>>1731280 The game shouldn't have been released in the state it was in at first, even if it is in early access. Players seem to find the emotional reactions that Zois have, if any, to be bland and boring. Even if the devs are fixing this now, many players probably tried the game, felt the Zois were too much like robots, and decided to uninstall and move on for good. The game has potential, but by fixing the glaring issues now instead of before releasing the game, the devs really made things harder for themselves.
>>1731405 Guess I'll give it more time
>>1731707 That might be for the best. Though the game is very much playable, and there have been several updates since launch, so it could be worth playing if you want to experience how the game changes up until early access ends. There's no guarantee all the problems will be fixed by then, but if you want to know you are buying a game that is considered "done", then it might be worth waiting. To be fair to the team, the do say in their early access description thing on Steam that they are fully aware that game depth and interaction systems need to be worked on. So players shouldn't go in expecting the Zois to be fully fleshed out and complex yet. Something tells me though that many players did expect that and were disappointed by their unsupported expectations.
>>1732081 I do think too many people are expecting it to just be diet Sims in every sense when it'd be better for it to take cues from Sims, but to develop its own identity. If the devs can keep on track and flesh out the Zois more, while making the game feel unique compared to the Sims, I think they have a shot at success.
>>1731405 That's pretty much what the Sims 4 was like at launch. I know that's hard to remember, since that was more than a fucking decade ago, but Sims 4 launched with far less features than either Sims 1 or Sims 2 did at launch. It has taken this decade plus to make it something people would play over Sims 2 or 3 with the combination of expansions, patches and mods that unfuck EA's retardedness. I don't know if there will eventually be that same level of dedication and mod support with InZoi, but I did see a couple mods float around, and this is the beginning, so that looks pretty good so far.
>>1733884 I definitely remember how crippled launch Sims 4 was. I remember the imageboard discussions being dumbfounded that pools weren't even included. And now I'm dumbfounded that they JUST released another set of DLC for it last week (or so), and that they've completely given up on Sims 5 (that they teased and then... ignored, I guess?). Sims 5 was showing off customization features that looked like (and better than) Sims 3, so I was interested in that. Now I guess I'll just pirate Paralives when it comes out. PLEASE SOMEONE AT PARADOX: LEAK THE RELEASE BUILD OF "LIFE BY YOU" THAT YOU WERE TWO FUCKING WEEKS FROM LAUNCHING BEFORE YOUR COMPANY SHITCANNED IT.
>>1739364 Given how Cities Skylines 2 launched, I fully expect Life By You to have been canned because the code base was beyond fixing.
>>1739397 You know what? You're probably right. Remember that leaked copy of Paradox's cancelled Cold War game? It was available as "Project Reagan" on pirate sites. I got it, it installed, it loaded fine. But the game was (admittedly) nowhere near complete. Setting any aspect of the military or production management to "AI control" instantly crashed the game (because the logic for it wasn't written yet), but it seemed otherwise to be working. They just abandoned it, I guess.
Sex mods out yet?
