Christmas Anonymous 12/04/2025 (Thu) 14:12:52 No. 541232
Lets get a comfy Christmas thread going. How do you plan on celebrating Christmas, anon? Are you looking forward to it? What about the rest of the holiday season? Any particular food you want to eat or presents you would like to get?
I participated in no nut November so I didn't have to participate in don't diddle December and I have a bunch of Christmas Bazzars and family events coming up so wish me luck!
>>541232 modern christmas sucks and is a goyslop consumer holiday.
>>541368 Who cares? Children are still children. Go have fun. ๐Ÿ˜ญ
>>541370 I will do stuff its just sad
>>541368 what isnt?
>Are you looking forward to it? Christmas is better than Halloween and Thanksgiving. even if I celebrate Christmas in the goyslop consumerist/secular way >Any particular food you want to eat Peppermint bark and candy canes. Gourmet popcorn. >or presents you would like to get? New headphones/wallet/video games. >>541368 Tbh, I don't care for Christianity anyways.
Modern Christmas does exactly what a holiday tradition would do -- manipulation to use the pleasure of the senses to rear children from birth with seasonal repetition and feedback loops to implant loyalty in them. Plato Laws >Pleasure and pain I maintain to be the first perceptions of children, and I say that they are the forms under which virtue and vice are originally present to them. As to wisdom and true and fixed opinions, happy is the man who acquires them, even when declining in years; and we may say that he who possesses them, and the blessing which are contained in them, is a perfect man. Now I mean by education that training which is given by suitable habits to the first instincts of virtue in children;--when pleasure, and friendship, and pain, and hatred, are rightly implanted in souls not yet capable of understanding the nature of them, and who find them, after they have attained reason, to be in harmony with her. This harmony of the soul, taken as a whole, is virtue; but the particular training in respect of pleasure and pain, which leads you always to hate what you ought to hate, and love what you ought to love from the beginning of life to the end, may be separated off; and, in my view, will be rightly called education. ... >I am glad to hear that you agree with me; for, indeed, the discipline of pleasure and pain which, when rightly ordered, is a principle of education, has been often relaxed and corrupted in human life. Modern Christianity wouldn't fare well without it: if not that children are raised from birth with memories and the association of pleasure with Christianity and pain with being cast away from Christianity. Goyslop holidays is what keeps the youth invested in Christianity... without this goyslop bringing the affection of the youth and cultivating them, Christianity would be worse off.
What's this in here? They've got a little tree How queer! And who would ever think? And why? They're covering it with tiny little things They've got electric lights on strings And there's a smile on everyone, so now correct me if I'm wrong This looks like fun, this looks like fun Oh, could it be I got my wish? ... What's this?
>>541232 I like my aunts homemade pies but they aren't really a christmas thing. peppermint bark kisses are probably the best christmas treats. >>541383 christmas is worse than halloween with its consumer bullshit. thanksgiving is really nice and my favorite. new years is kind of a better classier halloween too so thats nice. not everything is dogshit. >>541433 I agree that christmas was a boon to the christians, but it has slipped through their grip. No one really sees the christ in christmas these days, not where I live today at least. The holiday has rotted out like a tooth thats received too many sweets. Its a secular western holiday at this point and the christians lament this. Still it is important to celebrate the holidays but it should be done as wholesome as possible. Its our choices to invite the slop into our homes, if we do. >>541450 flips a (you) at (you)
