This used to be a console exclusive (PS3/X360), but it's out already on PC along with those other new consoles (no word on Steam Deck support yet). There's supposedly no censorship, but the licensed music and DLC are removed. Discuss the gameplay, plot, and more here.

Back in the day the logo almost made me wish this was about a qt skele. Kind of like Hell Yeah!.
>>1013666 Thanks Satan, very cool!
>>1013666 What is the appeal of this game? Even back in the day it looked like generic zombie hack and slash with cutie girl. I only remember the cosplay of Jessica Nigri what is she doing these days?
>>1013679 I recall that this was a Suda51 and James Gunn game, along with just the fanservice. I forgot that Suda51's Shadows of the Damned is getting rereleased on PC, too.
>>1013679 It was a fun game with a sexy girl. It had a unique aesthetic and a great soundtrack as did all they the games suda51 was involved in the 7th gen. Gameplay on most of these is average and at some points, experimental. LoliC is the most fun with the most unlockables and replayability.

>>1013679 >I only remember the cosplay of Jessica Nigri what is she doing these days?
>>1014023 I wish she would've done this sort of stuff back in the LoliC days. She is just another bimbo from onlyfans now.
>>1013666 Because of the change in engine, her breasts don't jiggle when she's standing still.
>>1014023 How the fuck does she make money from shitty softcore porn in a market this saturated? Makes no sense.
>no word on steam deck support 3 seconds and you could have figured this out https://www.protondb.com/app/2658450
>>1014076 The actual game runs wore on steamdeck than emulating the PS3 version.
>>1014077 Well it constantly stutters compiling shaders for me on RPCS3.
>>1013689 >>1013679 Everything I've heard about it is that it's a mediocre game with style released when even mediocre games were frustratingly rare games with style (instead of brown) were even more so.
>>1013666 Are there mods to restore the licensed music? Also the audio is out of sync with the scenes at times in classic mode. >>1014075 Name recognition probably
>>1014102 >Are there mods to restore the licensed music? Probably not, but shouldn't be hard. Make one?

>>1014486 In all likelihood Denuvo probably has a miner in it since Unity has telemetry enabled automatically, they just haven't been caught yet.
>>1014602 I wonder what the ramifications of that would be.
>>1014602 The alternative to playing a cracked game isn't to install Denuvo. It's to play one of the million games in your backlog.
Denuvo is the worst thing to happen to piracy frankly.
>>1014650 If it has denuvo the game ain't good and is trying to hide something (bugs, cut content or lack thereof, censorship, etc, etc...)
>>1014486 >he doesn't game in a virtual machine inside his proper OS
>>1014661 I will when I upgrade to a new machine. But no one besides 3 people here even know what VFIO means. Anons are raw dogging "free" cracks.
>>1014486 Do you guys not do basic research in $CURRENT_YEAR? https://nitter.poast.org/yasudaD5/status/1834065355146457334 https://archive.ph/eK1uG --- To quickly summarize the launch of this game: Good >IGN and GameJournoPro want to pretend it doesn't exist which means it probably pissed them off >has better numbers than Concord >striped bikini GOAT, dunno if it got chopped but it's the greatest of all time Bad <much like a lot of Suda51 rereleases the game is buggy as shit with camera issues <Game is UE5 <Game is UE5, again <really bad configuration options, you have to use Config.ini to turn off the global illumination the game tries to force on you (might be a plus if you understand the config options) <minor controversy with some of the jiggle physics not being ported properly because the game was transplanted from UE3 to 5 and the devs just slapped in another plugin without checking to see if it matched the original, Yasuda claims his team is looking into getting the physics fixed https://archive.ph/ySCwp, might be sweet if we get DOA goodness out of this deal >We will not only fix the bugs, but also consider option settings and optimizations. >First, regarding the physics engine, we are using KAWAII PHYSICS as a plug in RePOP because the physics engine used in the original version is not compatible with UE5. The behavior of the physics engine was caused by a bug in the parameters, and we will fix it promptly. >We are also fixing other graphics bugs. If you notice anything, please contact us at below. games_info@dragamigames.co.jp <Xitter dumbasses (who I still give credit for fomenting the return of fanservice in gaming) tussling digitally about this -- TL;DR play this if you want to or don't, but it's Denuvo-free. The fact there's so much misinformation about it points to an organic rustling of jimmies. Switch version if you want to emulate: 45fbea7e Backup magnet to original: ecb77a57
>>1014667 Did anyone say it has Denuvo? I just see agreement Denuvo is shit, not that it has Denuvo.
>>1014667 Is there an agreed upon yuzu fork people use? I couldn't get it to run in ryujinx
>>1014704 The most a fork accomplished before the desist was booting Princess Peach Showtime. Other "work" is worthless, like no-coders renaming strings.
>>1014704 Older yuzu builds since the forks are more broken, sometimes they work for things like the SMTVV character naming but it'll just crash compared to yuzu.
>>1014716 Confirmed. Watched commits and changelogs, no-coders kept changing code they didn't get, broke more shit, reverted it all, then did it again.
>>1014602 Do games that had Denuvo then removed Denuvo show performance boosts after removing Denuvo?
>>1014824 Almost always. Though the cope excuse for that is that denuvo will only affect performance if your machine didn't have proper specs to being running the game in the first place and high end computers won't notice the difference... as if that somehow makes it acceptable
>>1014461 >Nobody has bother to remodel Juliet's model, not even Suda themselves Her legs look like prosthetics.
>>1014865 I agree, but they likely had a remodeled Juliet when the game was planned to be a remake. I wouldn't want to see that. If more resources were spent increasing model fidelity and physics, even if it's only to the standard of NMH3, the game would be majorly improved. I doubt that many of the people who worked on LPC have left, and the developers have proved to be responsive to fans and dedicated to the original, so I don't think it would be difficult to do. If this release is any measure of quality, we can expect the Shadows of the Damned remaster to use the lessons learned here but not build off of them. I pray that the push for these remasters means an announcement for a remaster of Michigan: Report from Hell is coming soon.
>>1014886 >I pray that the push for these remasters means an announcement for a remaster of Michigan: Report from Hell is coming soon. IIRC, Suda said he wasn't interested in a rerelease of Michigan because the Rec film series already did what he wanted to do with the game.
>>1014893 Well that sucks.
>>1014824 yes, just as an example even after a year of performance update Jedi Survivor got a 10 to 20% bump from having that cancer removed
>>1014704 what are your specs? I have a 7800x3d and a 3080 and it works fine. If you have an AMD CPU with two modules or an intel chip with p and e cores you might want to try disabling SMT/Hyper-threading. I used to have an AMD 5900x and SMT would fuck with emulation since the caches between cores across the two modules don't share all data so you can get crashes due to excess calls to memory.
>>1015625 I couldn't even get it to boot, so I just assumed it didn't work with ryujinx or the file I downloaded was a dud.
Did you update firmware/keys?
Devs are aware players are unsatisfied with the new physics engine and are working on fixing it.
