I saw an acronym from a social worker once: CATO 4321, used by the few serious people in social work to discuss the “homeless” crisis. (It's actually a “people” crisis). 40% of the homeless are Crazy. You can't give them homes or apartments because they'd assault their neighbors, burn their residences down, or fill them with trash. 30% are Addicts. Most drug addicts are also crazy and have lost the ability to maintain a household. They steal and worse, and are unemployable. 20% are Tramps, i.e. the happy homeless. If you put them in an apartment they'll leave, and go live contentedly in Matt Foley's van down by the river. 10% are zerOs: the zeroed-out, people who have suffered some life disaster and had their financial and social credit destroyed. This 10% are the only ones who could be helped by the Habitat for Humanity model. I suspect this share of the homeless are increasing due to immigration, social atomization, and labor market pressures. We could help the Tramps by providing them sanitary facilities so they don't befoul waterways and forested areas. We could also give them permission to keep out the Crazies and Addicts from their areas. The Crazies and Addicts would have to be kept in camps or asylums, and that is all there is to it. And take away their voting rights, so city governments aren't incentivized to keep them around as reliable Democratic vote banks. Probably 40% are crazy in the city I live near. They're only there because they closed the big mental hospital in St. Thomas 8 or 10 years ago. They didn't put them in a new one. They just kicked them all out onto the street to fend for themselves. They need professional help, and protection, and now they're not getting it. The addicts are in the same boat. Some of them could be cured, but we don't have any clinics to do it. Other than a few charity outfits that can't handle a fraction of the work. Here's the problem: Let's say we could cure 90% of the drug addicts and return them to being productive citizens again. As productive citizens, they're going to want jobs. There are no fucking jobs. They're going to want a nice house to live in like the newly minted normies they have just become. There are no fucking houses any of them will ever be able to afford. Even if you could help them, they're no more ahead than when they were living in the gutter with a needle stuck in their arms. So you might as well just save yourself the trouble and leave them there. That's the ugly truth of it. They have destroyed our countries so fucking totally, you're better of spaced out on drugs. Than having to live the life of a normie. They are both equally miserable and worthless.
