Putting aside the heavy internet censorship, the stupid internet dramas and the political fanatics, why is modern internet so fucking cringe and boring? Take /r9k/ for instance. At the early 2010s it was a comfy place for true social outcasts, NEETs etc. Now it's reddit no 2 full with trannies, normies, autistic hoes, porn addicts, junkies, faggots, feminists, /pol/tards...
Same reason games and media did. They were targeted specifically by people who dislike them to force them to change, or be destroyed. People who want control hate amicable discussion forums that enjoy free speech.

People have been talking about this since the peak of 8chan, so many hours wasted on those threads. I don't understand, you have websites like this and a whole "alt-net" but you refuse to take advantage of it, and instead just complain about the mainstream internet. The mainstream internet is always gonna suck, it goes without saying, but we have other places to go where we can have fun and make things. Everyone agrees with you, the internet sucks now, so let's channel that energy spent complaining about the net into having fun and creating things.
>>533219 websites like this are even more cringe and boring because they're trying and failing to garner mainstream appeal. where 8chan at its peak was practicing what it preached in regards to free speech and platforming everyone this site only plays pretend at that. the kind of people who are willing to waste hours on an imageboard creating things and making it a better place for everyone are the social outcasts that can't find solace anywhere else. so when you act like a knockoff mainstream site and deplatform those people just like they are everywhere else to try and achieve mainstream appeal you lose the creative output of what would be your most devoted users while gaining nothing because everyone already has a mainstream platform to use.
>>533186 Too many non-whites got access to the Internet. YouTube is being flooded with shitty Indian slop and AI slop, and scammers are forcing every website to turn to captchas and blocking IP addresses. >At the early 2010s it was a comfy place for true social outcasts, NEETs etc. Now it's reddit no 2 full with trannies, normies, autistic hoes, porn addicts, junkies, faggots, feminists, /pol/tards... Back then e-thottery had not yet gone full mainstream; the normies did IRL normie stuff, while shitposters made edgy jokes on imageboards in peace.
>>533219 >I don't understand, you have websites like this and a whole "alt-net" but you refuse to take advantage of it "Alternatives" like 8cuck are equally bad or worse than maintsream ones. Especially because they're run and they're full with the same fags who ruined internet in the first place. "Alternative" social media are another example of that, especially the heavily shilled ones like bluesky.
>>533219 This is correct. Unfortunately the default CSS sucks cock and who the fuck is Caligula no one cares. Because of this 90% of new visitors cringe, roll their eyes then leave. Also where is the official twitter/tiktok/bluesky 8moe account. That's right there isn't one. >>533228 >>533237 You're retarded and you don't know what you're talking about.
